Very cute restaurant with bright and colourful decor. Food was good and service was also fine. Good value and decent size portions. Pizza was done well and enough for a second meal to take home.

"Il Pagliaccio" in Fulham offers excellent pizza and a wide selection of great beers, along with friendly and courteous staff. The atmosphere is lively and bustling with plenty of people, making it a cheerful and vibrant spot to enjoy a meal.

Never had a boring night here, the food is great, the place is booming and no doubt you'll have a fat cucumber covered in cream shoved down your throat by the end of the night!! What more do you want x

Earlier this week, we had a meal in this restaurant with old friends. It started so well. An authentic Italian trattoria - convivial, rowdy, EURO’24 on various screens for groups of diners, lots of plants, Italian memorabilia on the wall, wholesome authentic Italian food, friendly staff and yes, certo! a fully accessible toilet to accommodate my wheelchair. By our main, we were deep in conversation fuelled by Italian beverages. All talking at once as old friends do … about literature, the football, the election, absent friends when a loud fracas exploded from the kitchen and an enraged individual emerged slamming counters, throwing empty bottles into the recycling bin and shouting at the staff. I judged this an appropriate moment to visit the disabled toilet that, when I reached it, turned out to be off an anteroom behind stacks of function chairs and a piano. Time, I thought for quick sharp Uber, but no my pals, experienced in community engagement, retained the services of a local cricket team enjoying some post-match pasta to clear my path. Although quite spacious and well equipped, the thoughtful addition of the piano in the toilet seemed an unnecessary adornment to my needs and who was going to play it anyway? When eventually I returned to our table, it was to witness an hysterical animated individual, the owner apparently, arms outstretched and with passion blazing from his eyes bellowing a non-apology apology to the few remaining customers who had not long since departed. Done not with the brio of a fading Neapolitan tenor attempting a final rendition of Rossini’s Largo al factotum from the Barber, but with the menace of a mafia boss who, having despatched his now-late lieutenant (AKA the cook) was attempting to reassure those under his protection. The food wasn’t that bad, the floor show was alarming, the disabled facilities were unfit for purpose. Finding a new cook may take some time, repairing the reputational damage could take longer. The owner, after some anger-management awareness training, might reflect that the purpose of a trattoria such as his is to provide good food and wine in a convivial atmosphere with an Italian cultural experience that provides an escape from the stresses of everyday life and not a contemporary reprise of a Dario Fo surreal and frenetic commedia dell’arte.

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience, they tried to scam us with additional items on our bill, disgusting.

I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl, over 20 years of fantastic food, service and an impeccable atmosphere. 10/10, wouldn’t ever cheat on my favourite local Italian!!

I’ve been frequenting Paggs since it opened in Fulham back in 1991. It’s a fabulous place for good food, parties ( Book downstairs) , drinks and all sorts of celebrations and fun.

It was one of the best pizza. The environment is very friendly and cozy. Definitely try it if you're nearby. If you are far away come to try it

Food is good, feels quite traditional and you can get all the starters/mains you would expect in a good Italian. Wine menu is excellent and everything comes quickly. Where they are lacking is the service. I found the staff to be too pushy - fetching drinks or asking too many times, taking it past the point where it’s charming and cheeky to overbearing. I understand that alcohol is where restaurants make their money, however it took away from the experience for me.

Food great, atmosphere great, prices okay! So only issue really is that they are really always upselling you and it gets pushy at times. It’s the only negative !

Gluten free! The best gluten free pizza and gluten free bread in London. I am coeliac and have tried a lot of gluten free Italian in the past few years. This place should be the only place for gluten free pizza you try!

This is one the most authentic food places I have ever tried. My first ever Italian food experience was made awesome by this amazing place. Best food, best friendly environment, best aura of the whole place. It didn’t feel like a commercial space rather I felt like welcomed in a place where family members are spending quality time together.

Picked up some pizzas yesterday evening for a party at ours. They have the best pizzas so this is our go to for take out or eating in. As usual the place was buzzing and the pizzas were top quality. The manager is the nicest person and was very generous with us. Love this place.

Excellent place! The incredible pasta, the treatment of the Lujo staff, very grateful because I have small children and they are a hassle but they always have a good attitude and service.

Always a great place to vist anytime of the year. This time us a family meet here for a three mums mother's day great Italian food and atmosphere.

The dishes were very good, the pizzas are very large with thick dough. The prices are a little high, the desserts are not very inspiring, except the tiramisu which is excellent! Very friendly staff

Nice local italian traditional style 🍕 restaurant, feels traditionally independent and established. Much nicer than some of the chains. A fun place to visit with music and a bar area. Often shows the football matches on a TV above the bar. Will visit again

Guys you are taking the p***, food was great, but you were happy to mug us off for an extra 15%. Bill stated 12.5% service charge and then another waiter came along and added 15% from card machine without explaining it would be on top of the bill. Sorry but it is outrageous to think you can get away with these things. I am fuming!!! Would like a refund for the 15% Basically a £122.25 bill had a £32 tip on top, it is a joke!!

Lovely place, great food. We arrived from Spain on holiday and showed up at the restaurant at 11pm and the man was still willing to serve us, so nice! The food was great. The atmosphere was very lively on a Saturday night! Great place to be, we'll be back!

I recently had my birthday dinner here and I cannot recommend the restaurant enough for any event. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is exciting, cosy and fun! There are two people which really made the experience world class: 1. Sam - he made the whole organising process easy and effortless and accommodated for all allergies/GF dietary requirements (for 75 people!). 2. Dino - on then night he was The PERFECT host. He was friendly and flexible with the whole night and made sure everyone has their needs met. He made the night incredibly enjoyable and I’m sure without his help, things would not have run as smoothly as they did. Dino was the highlight of the night and will return to see him again!! This place is so obnoxious to live around. Constantly in violation of noise laws, clientele and staff that have no respect for the fact that this is a residential road. There is a reason you see the people who live on this road never enter this restaurant. Completely dead in the weekdays during lunch, absolutely awful at night, especially from Thursday to Sunday where this place is treated like a bar/club for people to get white girl wasted. Everyone just starts screaming and competing to see who can be louder. Music played too loudly, constant yelling, like honestly why? There's a reasonable time, like okay if it extended to ten, that's annoying on a residential road but fine whatever, but when it goes to midnight and beyond, like people have work, be respectful of the locals.

You just closed for refurbishment without any sort of announcement. Not even on your website. When you will be opened again?

Great food especially the pizza. Lively and buzzing. You can see why it's so popular. Only pity is that for those days when you want to stay in and order a delivery the restaurant doesn't deliver. Having said that, this is one of those places where its worth nipping in to pick up if you don't want to dine in.

We visited for their happy hour cocktail deal but we're thoroughly jealous of everyone ordering pasta and pizzas, as they looked great. The cocktails were excellent and the staff very easygoing.

This has been my local for almost 30 years . Teo and his team are wonderful. A home from home, very friendly place. Great for parties, cocktails and the food is excellent. !

Unfortunately the service and company (on the other tables) was appalling. I’ve been multiple times but never experienced the disgusting behaviour of other guests upon us. A newly married man harassing my sister and table after multiple times of being told to leave by us and staff. Really awful service- more than an hour and a half late for our food order - really disappointed. Overall good food as always (been multiple times) but their inability to tell a drunk man to go home was shocking. I was really upset and appalled!

Giving 2 stars only because both times we’ve eaten here the food and waiter service have been very good. But our last dining experience was horrible. They put my wife and I at a table 3 feet from the bar, and we spent the whole meal being pelted with elbows, purses and butts from rude 20 something’s. If you’re looking for a place to have a nice Italian meal, look elsewhere. If you like to participate in rugby or roller derby while you eat, you might like this place.

Unfortunately they tried to scam us. Service charge was on the bill and then they gave us the machine and asked us to add extra. I only caught it afterwards. Instead of admission they said, "usually customers like to add another extra" so they knew. Really dissapointed, its not on. To pay 20 service charge on a 70 pound bill. Beware

It’s a family restaurant with very friendly staff, has often greeted us when we pass by. We live nearby and it's always great to hear that Il Paggliccio are always supporting the local community. They serve the best calimari I have ever tasted in the UK, the squid was so tender and not chewy at all, served hot. Worth the visit.

Lovely tasty food, however the cocktails not so great. Service was good however one of the managers was not so friendly and was rude to his staff. Atmosphere was great this time round, last time it was very lively dj and all so be prepared for a loud music and fun

I love this place . It’s a bustling vibrant classical Italian resataurant . The food is authentic and the pizza and pasta are delicious . I have been coming since it opened in the 90s . It’s very reasonable and I always have a laugh with Teo and the team . Good for groups .

Hi guys, I'd like to tell you about my experience as a clown. The place is very particular, the owner has been careful in the organization and details to show to customers. Everyone is always hospitable and friendly, we were personally served by Bartolomeo a very nice Neapolitan. The atmosphere is welcoming, you can sit both inside and out, it is always better to specify this when booking. The menu is focused on classic pizzas and appetizers and some other typical Italian dishes, if you have any specific requests it is always better to ask, just in case the cook can also prepare something that is not on the menu. Prices are average, you can't complain. Usually you are offered limoncello on the house, and then if it gets a little late you can also have a chat with the owner. There were three of us and we had a pizza and beer dinner, it wasn't the first time we went there. We will definitely be back. Salve ragazzi, mi piacerebbe parlarvi della mia esperienza dal pagliaccio. Il posto è molto particolare, il proprietario è stato attento nell'organizzazione e ai dettagli da mostrare ai clienti. Sono sempre tutti ospitali e cordiali, personalmente siamo stati serviti da Bartolomeo un simpaticissimo napoletano. L'atmosfera è accogliente, ci si può accomodare sia dentro che fuori, è sempre meglio specificarlo al momento della prenotazione. Il menù è incentrato sulle pizze classiche ed antipasti e qualche altro piatto tipico italiano, se avete qualche richiesta specifica è sempre meglio chiedere non si sa mai che il cuoco possa anche preparare qualcosa che non sia nel menù. I prezzi sono medi non ci si può lamentare, Di solito ti viene offerto il limoncello della casa, e poi se si fa un po' tardi si può fare anche una chiacchierata con il proprietario. Noi eravamo in tre abbiamo fatto una cena di pizze e birra, non era la prima volta che andavamo lì. Sicuramente ci torneremo.

Looking from the street it doesn't seem much, but once in it's massive. The service was brilliant, very attentive and polite. It wasn't busy at lunch time and had to wait for the pizza as their oven was not on, but it was well worth the wait. It was in top 3 best pizza's I had outside Italy. The ingredients were fresh and bountiful, and the crust crispy and perfect. The beer isn't the cheapest, but it went well, especially with the complimentary olives mix. I would definitely recommend and will go back if in the area

Good atmosphere and nice cocktails, food is decent. We went here for dinner on a Friday night and it had a great atmosphere. We ordered meatballs and calamari to start (both really yummy) and pizzas for main as well as the seafood linguine. The pizzas were average, good portion size but a bit bland. Also they were a bit inconsistent with the toppings. The pasta was also slightly bland but a good amount of seafood. Overall a decent experience and the atmosphere made up for the average food.

I never leave reviews but I had to cycle home because there was no train and my dog was home alone and the owner (I think he was the owner at least) stopped me and gave me 2 slices of pizza and told me everything would be fine and not to stress so much. Made my week. I will be bringing all my friends from uni here at some point

I was stuck in traffic on Wandsworth Bridge Rd with my wife and kids due to bus and tube strikes today that has caused absolute manic all around London. And as we approached Il Pagliaccio in the car the amazing staff gave out free pizza and wine to passengers in the cars. I honestly can not thank them enough (both my children were extremely hungry and we were hoping to be home in time for dinner). They both loved the stone baked pizza slices they were given. Now we will definitely be heading down to show our support to a local family friendly restaurant.

Went for lunch on a weekday. Ordered staple dishes that any self-proclaimed "Italian" restaurant should be able to make with their eyes closed. Although, now that I think about it, that may be exactly what the "chef" did. Food was so uninspired and unseasoned that I wonder if they picked up a couple of ready meals at the Sainsbury's up the road. Luckily, I wasn't on a first date. But I'll still be living down my decision to go there for a while

Went there for lunch on a Thursday, about two hours after opening. Ordered spaghetti bolognese and lasagna; two things any Italian restaurant worth its salt should have mastered. Both were comparable to frozen dinners or airplane food. Service was fine but not good enough to make up for the below average food. We went to McDonald's straight after. The clown in the logo must represent anyone who is foolish enough to eat there twice. Not even Jesus was that forgiving.

I’ll start with the positive: the food is very good and came quickly. However the service was not up to standard. The manager wasn’t very welcoming when he seated us and made us feel like a nuisance because we hadn’t booked. The staff looked grumpy and more interested in the football on the tv. There was no check back as to whether everything was ok and we were not offered a dessert menu. When they did finally check up us on we were simply greeted by a “anything else ?” Making us feel that they just wanted us to leave. When we paid there was no thank you or smile the waiter just walked off after they took payment and they added 10% service which they didn’t deserve. When we left no one said goodbye to us we had to take the initiative to say goodbye as we walked past.

Such a great family restaurant at the heart of the community. Always great with kids and big groups, lovely food and careful service. Recommended!
