Il Botanico Oxford in Oxford

You can’t beat the Italian baked goods at Il Botanico, the cannoli’s are the best I’ve had! The coffee, focaccia, gelato and hot chocolate are all also amazing! It’s a bit of a hidden gem in Headington.

Such a lovely place inside and a couple of tables on the street in the sunshine. The coffees were lovely, the hot chocolate was amazing with marshmallows etc and 4 of us shared a chocolate and a lemon canoli which we're incredible. Thank you so much! Highly recommended ♥

Perfect little Italian coffee shop. Coffee made to your liking with a warm and friendly smile. Lovely warm atmosphere and to top it off a deli with loads of lovely treats.

A little gen in Headington for a coffee or bite to eat. We were welcomed and served by José, who makes you feel like you've been transported to the Mediterranean with his warm hospitality, kindness and friendliness. Although he was by himself, he managed to serve everyone promptly with a smile :) Look forward to going back soon.

My wife and I dropped in for lunch on Friday last. It was our first visit but came highly recommended. We were served by a very efficient and friendly staff member Jose. Beautiful food in lovely surroundings, we'll be back

Prices in this place are absurd (not even in the best Italian coffee shop in London you pay as much as you pay here). They think they sell the best coffee in Oxford just because the have 'Borbone coffee beams'. But the quality of a good coffee is not just about the origin of the coffee but about the maintenance of the coffee machine. Most of the time I took the coffee here the coffee was burnt. Also, the 'Italian' pastries are everything but Italian. If you're looking for a proper italian Coffee shop then you have to avoid this place.

LOW YOUR PRICES! Unbelievable how this place set its prices! For example £5 a single shot of 25ml of spirit and 12 pound cocktail’s. You do better to go to a restaurant. The place is not even located in a centric zone. Nothing that special to justify those prices. First and last time I’ll be that cafe. Stop speculating on people because “it is Italian”.

This place really has the atmosphere of an Italian coffee shop. The coffee is very decent the pastries are delicious. They also do food and alcoholic drinks but I haven't tried those. There are a few seats outside for that al fresco experience but the narrowness of the pavement and close proximity to the road means that it occasionally comes with a whiff of diesel fumes from a passing lorry. That said it is a very relaxed place to read a book while sipping a coffee. Its pretty nice indoors but I prefer to be out in the open in these covid times, and the outdoor option it has is one of its appeals to me, the above described issues aside. The staff are very friendly. There is a decent range of options. The only real downside and gripe is the price of things, which is probably about 30% higher than I would be relaxed about paying. This means that it is more of a place for an occasional treat than for a regular morning coffee.

Nicest coffee I’ve had since my trips to Milan, easily the best Espresso Ive had in the UK. Purchased some funky and cool plants too.

A little pricey for what you actually receieve in my opinion,but nice decorations and the coffee actually tastes delicious.

Called in yesterday for a coffee with friends and ended up taking 4 bolognaise arancini home. They were delicious. Will definitely be visiting again for more treats.

Delicious coffee, treats and arancini and lovely, friendly service. I’m trying not to look at the plants as I developed an obsession over lockdown but I may have to get one next time I’m in. Some background music but not too loud so conversation is easy to have.

I have been going to Il Bottanico regularly with my mother for coffee in the mornings and I can truly say that it is our favourite place in Headington! We are always welcomed with a friendly smile, the coffee and cakes are delicious, especially the panettone and cornetto con crema. I also like it because great care has been taken to make sure the tables and seats are socially distanced. Well done to Gianni and his team for the excellent service and attention to customers.

Really nice pizza. If you like pizza from Naples you will enjoy this. But...It was a little burnt and expensive for a pizza. They could do with being a little more generous with their toppings!
