Still the same!!! Not for the shopping experience but the restaurant, I've been to many sites but have never had to wait so long to be served. We are talking 40 mins! Only one guy on the counter, countless others wandering around do as little as possible, even as far as charging his phone... At one point their were 2 on the tills and still only one serving. I've honestly never seen such a shambles of organisation. After eating and heading back down the situation was worse with both sides open, massive queues and only one on each side serving. Please improve as this is an utterly unsatisfactory customer experience. Even complained to the head office but they seem less than interested too CYB!

Absolutely terrible in the temporary cafe. First off MASSIVE queue with two people serving. We get there and they’re just stood chatting yet there has been a queue for about 20 mins. Second off I’m a vegetarian and there was so plantballs left so I asked if I could just have chips and gravy because I don’t. Eat. Meat. Yet this wasn’t allowed? No vegetarian options either so I had to pay for a meatball meal and have the meatballs on my plate. Very rude when being told too

Why???!!! IKEA ?!!! I used to love going to the restaurant and would visit whenever I was in the area, from what I remember it was always busy, why would you move it and make it smaller ?! We gave up after waiting there for 30 minutes on Saturday not even getting halfway through the queue. Only two people serving at the counter and after seeing people eating at tables in that crowded little space I lost appetite altogether. So many people left while we were queuing. Something is telling me that McDonalds across the road will send you a thank you letter soon for all those extra customers you’re driving their way.

Appalling, 35mins wait on a Tuesday at 6.45pm. Food cold, no one smiling. Bins overflowing yet your supposed to clear your table. Paper cups, cardboard plates and wooden forks!! Staff totally disinterested about the bin overflowing and when pointed out to a staff member, she said it wasn't her job. Won't be going again.

Absolutely appalled by the wait time for lunch at 2:05 - 2:35. Waiting 30 minutes in the queue to get our food. I would understand waiting that long at 12:00 but even after we left at 3:00 there was still the same long queue. Like it isn’t even lunch time anymore and that queue is ridiculous. And there was only 2 food choices available, Meatballs or Pasta. This experience reminded me of waiting in the lunch queue at school. A very unpleasant experience.

What's so Negative about the Restaurant? We ordered some Swedish Meatballs and Fish 'n Chips, and when I tried the Meatballs, they were Heavenly Godlike!🤩😍When I tried the Fish with tartare sauce, it was Even Godlike! I can give this a 10 stars! 😋

Food is good and very reasonably priced, especially if you have a family card. There are vegan and vegetarian options available too. There is always a queue, but it goes down quickly. Lots of space to eat. The breakfast is especially brilliant value.

The food here was fine for a cafe. Service took ridiculously long, 5 mins per tray was the quickest I saw. See pictures for the wide array of drinks on offer. P.s. this can only been seen after you have paid for them. Very disappointing.

Came here to ikea then food after in group of 3, fish and chips was lukewarm, garlic bread frozen in middle (they did change the garlic bread to be fair)not a lot of food choice bit disappointed as heard the restaurant was the best bit!

The ambiance at IKEA restaurant was pleasant, and the cuisine was exceptional. While the waiting area can get somewhat crowded, and there might be a wait time, this isn't a constant issue. The dining area is spacious, offering ample room to enjoy a meal with family and friends.

I understand it must be stressful for staff to handle so much customers waiting on queue everyday But just a simple dish - they missed to offer cranberry jam (i went back twice) Eventually they missed to give my daughter the gravy They missed to provide peas on my dish. This is what happened when you want to keep your customer to rush and to fast move forward but you missed to provide what we have paid for.

How this has fallen. No staff serving hot food for ten minutes, people leaving the queue and giving up. Portion sizes so small that my wife thought they were for children. Limited selection fish and chips or meatballs. Three choices of dessert. Eventually served, but the food was cold. Soft cold chips. Full refund - we won't be coming back to eat.

A few years ago, going to the IKEA restaurant was a necessity after doing a shop. However in recent months, it has really gone down hill. The prices no longer offer value for money, the customer service is non existent and the cleanliness of the seating area is also questionable. I now tend to avoid at all costs, which is a shame.

Absolutely shocking 55 min wait to get to the food counter, 10 mins to pay, as only one till open out of 4!! Food cold by the time you get to your seat. Well over priced for quality of food. Used to be reasonably priced. But not now avoid at all costs. Where is the management, totally non existent, probably hiding out of sight

Long wait but to be expected at lunchtime on a Sunday. Didn’t help that there was only one cashier on for both queue’s. Pudding fridges were nearly empty and when someone asked at the counter if there was a particular kind of cake left the lady went away and came back saying none left only for the same customer to look behind and see that someone was preparing to bring them over and fill the fridges. No difference between a ‘small’ amount of gravy asked for on the meatballs and normal portion, both drowning in the stuff and when we asked for peas with the chicken schnitzel, it was an effort. Filthy cutlery with food stuck to it, at least the seating area made up for it being clean and well looked after.

Whenever I've attempted to grab a simple cup of coffee at this restaurant, I've quickly given up due to the overwhelming number of people waiting in line. I can't quite comprehend the reason behind the long queues. Furthermore, the food quality at this establishment falls below the expected standard. It seems like everyone is particularly enamoured with the meatballs, but I fail to understand the appeal. From my perspective, the meatballs appear to be made from low-quality, fatty meat that has been excessively compressed into hard balls. They lack the tender texture and flavour that one would expect from a well-prepared meatball. I must admit, I feel like I might be missing something that others seem to appreciate.

I will have lunch in Ikea restaurant when I go shopping there. This time, the special dish is "Chicken Schnitzel & Katsu Curry". Unfortunately, it is not the Japanese style. It is better to order "Fish and Chips" or "Meatballs" next time.

Main cafeteria staff are utterly useless with allergen info. Had to ask the chap at the info desk on the front door of the main store who promptly shown us the iPad tucked away that had it on (he was sound, but it shouldn’t be his responsibility to walk away from the main door to show us this stuff) In the end it was such a faff that we walked away didn’t trust any of it. Please give them training of some level of basic allergen info. If you are reading this and have any level of dietary requirement AVOID. I wouldn’t trust them. Never been to a place so ignorant for allergens

Food is standard but has crept up in price over the years, and not as nice and fresh as it used to be. The setup means you wait a while, get your food and then have to wait a while to pay. By the time this process is completed the food has gone cold. Not forgetting the walk to find the table which makes the food stone cold. A better idea would be to pay first then get your food. They just need to change the direction of the queue.

25 minutes in the queue to be served is really bad. I wouldn’t normally complain, but it’s been the same the last 3 times I’ve been. The staff are lovely and I feel sorry for them as Ikea always seems to leave them short staffed. The food is nice though.

We went in this restaurant because we was in the shop in the lunchtime. Nothing special, food was with no flavours, soft drinks had wrong descriptions. I’ve had mine, descriptions said “apple juice still” and was sparkling. Veggie meatballs was really dry and unflavoured, chicken schnitzel so dry, only salmon was ok, nothing special. I hope was just for this time.

I've always thought the food at IKEA was OK, particularly the meatballs. Today's experience, however, was dreadful. Long queues, stuff unavailable, only one till open, no milk at the hot drinks dispensers and dirty tables. All that could be forgiven if the food hadn't been awful too. Greasy, tasteless, grey fish with undercooked chips. Meatballs and sloppy mash swimming in water as they didn't drain the peas. I'm not a fussy eater, but we left this lot on the table. Not good enough.

Never more! In 2021 and before, IKEA restaurant was only place in Warrington that offered cheap and relatively healthy food, which was very pleasant offer in one of the most unhealthiest countries in the world. But in 2022 a lot have changed. Prices went up rapidly, around 20% in average, white fish fillet was replaced by tasteless muddy grey fish garbage, portions are smaller and what is absolutely most disgusting is hot drink policy. Endless hot drinks for pound were replaced for endless black water called black coffee and cheapest black tea. I couldn't even start drinking 'so called' black coffee. Bland, watery, tasteless. Same as food. If you'd like to try espresso (also very mediocre), you have to pay pound extra! For 'speciality' tea it's extra 50p. I thought speciality teas are mix of herbs, malaysian jasmine tea, or passion fruit with lichy, not peppermint, or camomile teas.... I usually have double espresso or/and peppermint tea anyway, so I don't see reason why would I have to pay 2,5times more for it .. in huge international multimillion retail chain. I left IKEA absolutely disgusted and I told myself : you might got few pound more from my pocket for fish and chips, salat, cake and coffee, but you lost your frequent customer forever.

The children's meal deal advertised on the IKEA website was not available, there was also no jelly or kids soft drinks avaliable. The soft drink machine was not working but they don't think to put a sign up by the fridge so you could choose a different drink, instead they tell you at the till so folk were going back to the fridge to get a drink, holding up the que. Also the food was only luke warm.

Our sandwich maker was lovely and welcoming. The food was good but expensive. However we were really disappointed to be told they wouldn't make our 1 year old fussy child a slice of toast. We asked 2 different people as I thought this must be incorrect, and were told they don't and can't do toast after breakfast by both staff. Surely at any time it's not too much to request a slice of bread to be put in the toaster? We had to cut our visit short and drive home to feed our child, which isn't great when we travelled for a day out!
