One of those very compelling places: can't help but but every time I'm there.

Terribly slow. Long queues. Surely they would anticipate lunch time being busy and have food cooked and ready. Very poor service.

Great store excellent products bought kitchen cabinets,click n collect in and out with few minutes great customer service experience no queueing highly recommended service.

Ikea Cardiff, waited in all day Sunday for a delivery. Didn't turn up. No email or information. Ikea Cardiff are impossible to get hold of.perhaps they might see this and tell me what's happening but I won't hold my breath

My experience with IKEA’s kitchen installation service has been nothing short of frustrating. The installation itself has been plagued by delays, and what’s most disappointing is IKEA's complete lack of communication. Despite multiple promises of callbacks and updates, I’ve been left in the dark time and time again. When I’ve reached out for clarity or to simply get an idea of when the work will be completed, responses have been sporadic at best. This lack of responsiveness has caused major inconvenience and disrupted my plans, both at home and professionally. It’s disheartening to invest in a project intended to enhance my living space, only to feel abandoned by the very team supposed to deliver it. I had expected much better from IKEA, but this experience has left me reconsidering my trust in their services. For anyone considering IKEA’s installation services, be prepared for potential delays and a worrying lack of communication. I truly hope IKEA takes steps to address these issues because, at the moment, I am left feeling let down and frustrated.

El gerente del restaurante sueco debe comer un plato lleno de la comida festiva de albóndigas. La Bruselas donde un color muy peculiar más cercano frío empapado e insípido. Las papas asadas y las chirivías se secan y una vez más son insípidas. La col roja tibia y bastante aguda. Las albóndigas tibias. ¿Por qué no me quejé, alguna vez traté de hacer eso en el restaurante? Busqué a alguien pero todos estaban ocupados con la Navidad sueca. No es una persona feliz, pero bueno, es Navidad.

I went here with my partner for breakfast. Let’s just say it’s appalling. The people serving food are very rude and look really angry. The dishes and glasses are the worst I’ve seen in a cafe. Safe to say we won’t be back to Cardiff ikea lmao 🤢

Just been to IKEA Cardiff which is our favourite place to visit for lots of reasons. However, the whole store is now automated, no till staff just dozens of self service checkouts including the food store and cafe. No lifts working, escalator out of order, no staff available to help. It's a thoroughly horrible experience and we won't be going again.I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone.

Inconsistent portion sizes. People ahead of us had mountains of chips whilst we got as pictured.. that amount of quinoa won't even feed a child.

The meatballs are delicious, and you can buy everything you’d need for your home here! I especially love the stuffed animals, and the calax is so useful for organising bits and bobs away.

IKEA you should be ashamed of yourselves. I recommend you close this restaurant until such time that you can look after it properly. The cups and cutlery were dirty, the queue was so long that when you received your meal it got cold whilst waiting to pay. The drinks dispensers were not functioning and several coffee machines were empty. My fruit salad had started to ferment, this was changed for me. Please get you act together. Find more staff and keep it maintaned and clean.

IKEA deberían avergonzarse de ustedes mismos. Te recomiendo que cierres este restaurante hasta el momento en que puedas cuidarlo adecuadamente. Las tazas y los cubiertos estaban sucios, la cola era tan larga que cuando recibías tu comida se enfriaba mientras esperabas pagar. El restaurante es abismal. Alimentos fríos, máquinas de bebidas fuera de servicio, cubiertos y vasos sucios. El restaurante también es frío.

It was nice and big in there and I got meatballs and chips and it was delicious I recommend the food as it is cheap and delicious.

Massive store, easy to get lost in, thankfully there are short cuts to let you escape. Fantastic variety, my wife hated it but I loved it. Didn't get to taste the legendry meatballs, but I'm sure i will next time (with or without my wife)

Great place to get affordable home furniture. Good customer service as well. IKEA has a large multi-storey car park available for customers.

Want to experience life grinding to a halt? Come to IKEA Cardiff. Need to return something? That'll take at least 30 minutes, even with one person in front of you in the queue. A hot dog from the 'fast food' counter? Another 30 minutes. I gave up on the restaurant (on a quiet weekday morning) when the queue didn't move for 15 minutes.

Great variety and good value for money

It was my first time at ikea, I really liked it, quality items for the home and not expensive, you can find everything you want for comfort. The store turned out to be huge 😃

Absolutely awful delivery experience. Ordered something for delivery and they failed to deliver it upwards of 5 times, they never contacted us on the day of delivery and would just reschedule it over and over. Ikea support couldn't seem to even contact the store to find out what was happening.

First time in years, nice food.

We visited Ikea in cardiff on Saturday 2nd November 2024 just for a coffee, it was busy but plenty of empty tables. However, the presentation of the table were absolutely disgusting, some were cleared of plate but the tables were filthy. Never seen it like that ever. We found a table but unfortunately the coffee was also disgusting cold and the machine only served half a cup. We left, not sure we would go to the restaurant again which is a shame

Don’t Respect IKEA if IKEA Doesn’t Respect You!!!! I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the recent handling of our scheduled assembly appointment. Initially, we arranged for the assembly team to arrive between 9:00 and 11:00 AM and organized our day around this commitment. However, when the team did not arrive, we reached out, only to be informed—without any prior notification or request for approval—that the appointment had been rescheduled to 2:00 PM. This last-minute change is, in itself, an inconvenience and demonstrates a lack of respect for our time. However, even more troubling was the unprofessional and inappropriate tone used in your representative's communication, where we were informed that if we did not agree to this new time, the appointment would be canceled. This language is both coercive and dismissive, suggesting that our only option was to accept the sudden change or forfeit the service altogether, even though we were not at fault. We find it unacceptable that we, as customers, are threatened with cancellation due to changes made solely by the service team. This experience has significantly impacted our trust in IKEA's commitment to customer satisfaction, and we urge you to address this behavior with the utmost seriousness. We request that this matter be investigated and that appropriate measures be taken with the involved representative to prevent future occurrences. Furthermore, I feel it is important to share my recent experience with IKEA customer service, as I had hoped for a responsible approach to the issue we faced. On October 30, 2024, at approximately 11:30 AM, I spoke with a representative to explain the situation, expecting that a company of IKEA’s stature would take customer satisfaction seriously. However, despite my detailed explanation, the representative repeatedly directed me to contact TaskRabbit, a third-party provider, for resolution. I informed the representative that I would email TaskRabbit, but emphasized that IKEA also needed to address the matter internally. I sought guidance on where to officially submit my concerns regarding IKEA's role in this disappointing experience. Unfortunately, the representative abruptly hung up on me, despite my waiting patiently on hold for nearly 30 minutes prior to our conversation. Such treatment is unacceptable, and I am compelled to share my experience so that other customers may avoid similar issues with IKEA. I hope that IKEA takes note and prioritizes treating customers with the respect they deserve.

Clean and tidy store, plenty of stock for every room in your house. Reasonable prices and great ideas for different uses on certain products. Plenty of car parking accessible access for wheelchairs and prams.

I haven't been to IKEA for a while. I was impressed with the range but there were very long checkout queues that were frustrating and annoying. The self service checkouts were shut for some reason. As someone with a disability I found standing in the checkout line painful. There was no seating. So good stuff, Shame about the checkout.

THE DELIVERY, YOU NEED TO BEG FOR THEIR MERCY AFTER PAYING LOTS OF MONEY. THEY BEHAVE LIKE BOSSES. I BOUGHT A NEW HOME AND DECIDED TO PURCHASE EVERYTHING FROM IKEA. NOW I HARE IKEA AND I WILL TRY MY BEST TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS MESS.

there are no accessible trolleys. each time i have been there have been multiple wheelchair users there but no trolleys any of us can use. do better!!! image shows sign that says "at ikea we believe everyone deserves to have a great shopping experience, that's why we've created family trolleys that's are perfect for children"..... "everyone" except disabled people it seems.

Fantastic staff and such a wide selection of items.

They sell good products for your home things or moving to a new home went there today for a refund the wait time is ridiculous they have so many staff members and they have 3 tills at the customer service desk and there were only 2 staff serving and the other till staff kept on coming back to use the till and saw how busy it was he went away then I was next and then he says I’m going on my break then how to wait for extra 20 minutes cause he went on his break and then there was only 1 person serving customers for a busy store then need to put on 3 people on customer service desk., I got a candle online went to collect it and when I went out of the shop I noticed the candle was snapped and I went to customer service to return it I was waiting for 40 minutes there was only a girl on the till who wares a head scarf she is so slow using a computer she was with that customer for 50 to 1 hour and there’s other staff there knowing there’s customers waiting to be severed he went on the stock room pretending to do something the girl with the head scarf needs to go to a different department she’s so slow!

Only one helpful member of staff who went above and beyond. A chap named Carter at customer services was wonderful, more than happy to help, a real credit to the company. He sorted out delivery of our purchases with a smile! Thank you so much. Shame the other members of staff we asked for help weren't overly interested

Decent store, food is nasty though. It's highly processed junk food and doesn't even taste nice, kids love the meatballs no doubt, but not good.

Absolutely shocking quing up all ailes but yet only 2 tills open. Will not be comming back staff rude too

I can only describe the bacon roll as two pieces of very stale bread and two pieces of very stale bacon that was so dry I couldn’t eat. The coffee was out of the machine and just about okay but then if you wanted white coffee, you have to add cold milk from another machine. Inedible at any price

First time going here In a while, incorrect price shown for product in 2 different places told to pay the higher scanning price even though the product was advertised cheaper

Not what it used to be, they've lost the funkyness!

Clean, well laid out store, food courts were clean and well stocked and staff were friendly. They didn't have any of the vegan plant balls in the restaurant though.

Prices have gone up slowly making it quite an expensive shop, food in the cafe almost cold, overly complicated drinks system 3 different machines for different drinks oat milk somewhere by the food counter no idea where, had black coffee . Won't be going back anytime soon, Amazon so much easier and cheaper

Love my trips to ikea, disappointed by long queues at foodhall so didn't have our meatballs this time. Suppose it's the downside of visiting saturday lunchtime. Did pick up a lovely little sofa for our garden room though

I was quite impressed with okea Cardiff, been to quite a few and they are all big but this one felt bigger as with all ideas it wad also a bit of a labyrinth. Only bad point was how long we qued for.

Very busy but purchases we value for money

Very disappointed with the cafeteria- pasta was so stale it was rock solid, couldn't even chew it! Portion sizes are very small for what you pay for. Tap water machine was out of order as we're 2 coffee machines. Very poor. Whilst paying for the actual flat pack items, there were roughly 20 people queuing at the tills (this is on top of the ones queuing for self service). My husband approached a manager and asked if he could open up another till, where he was rudely told it was none of his business. Absolute disaster organisation! On top of that, having to go to customer service for an item that wasn't in the main stock area, taking 25 minutes for them to find the item, when we queried why it took so long, we were accused of not 'checking in', despite having done so. Once they checked we had in fact checked in, they were able to get our item in less than 5 minutes and apologised. Between the tills and customer service area, over an hour was added to our trip to IKEA. Not impressed. And to top it all off, they no longer give you paper and a pencil for writing the items down (childhood memory)! Shocking!

Love going here, lots of home and garden items and lots of deals at decent prices, but my favourite bag of meatballs is nearly £8 can' t buy that.

Only one person visible to clean the dirty tables, food on the floor and trays unclean. Unbelievable to have one person serving food for each long queue. Large area behind the food counter with water on the floor, no signs to warn staff. Two tills operating so by the time you sat down your food was cold. Extremely understaffed on a busy day, the canteen didn’t look clean. Not the staffs fault as not enough of them.

Lots of inspiration, ideas and great products. I love to spend an entire day there. It has an affordable restaurant.

Love this place! Good prices and the restaurant is awesome :-) Picked up a large mouse mat for £4 in the reduced area by checkouts. It was amazing for the two days before Roxy stole it.

Who doesn’t like ikea 🤷🏻‍♀️ products are good! Love to have a nose around, would not recommend you buy a lot in one go though. 2 stars is for stuff at the self checkout! Helpful??? 🤔 it is like an interrogation, either they are burnt out or require a chill pill. SelfCheck outs and tills are always waaay to slow everyone is frustrated when only seeing 3 tills open specially when there are like 10, no one wants to see sour faced check out staff that look like they on their last nerve, more staff is needed 100%!!
