IG9 Brunch & Cafe in Epping Forest

Most time I get a cappuccino and its banging, proper good cafe full of very nice people, ham,cheese and tomatoes panini is very good aswell

It was a very spur of the moment visit following a delayed flght collection of a relative from Cashcow, er Stansted Airport on the way to a family event in Chigwell, two of us from "oop north", the other two having flown in in from Dublin. What a charming experience and such good value for money with well-cooked food and piping hot drinks NOT served the moment we sat down but just a few minutes before my food - I like my hot drinks to ACCOMPANY my breakfast and not go cold by the time my food arrives! The menu was quite substantial with plenty of choice for even the most picky of daytime eaters. Fresh well-cooked food, tasty, grease-free and filling. And not a problem with having a full English at lunchtime, which was great! What more could one ask for? Our young guest was very impressed with her panini which she said was fresh, well filled and nicely toasted - OK, it's had to make a mess of a panini, but many establishments do manage to! And I do like when my toast has been ready-buttered just long enough after preparation that the bread doesn't go soggy - while not the hardest thing to do, you do seem to have to always go back to the restroom to wash your hands when buttering your own toast. Nice and relaxing, bright, dog-friendly (to me, a well-behaved dog is not a problem sitting with its owner at a corner table) and comfortable. All in all, a very pleasant visit. I'm not for one minute going to pretend it was gourmet style, but the café had no pretence about that. Well done IG9.

Brief visit to this cafe. Initially looked nice. Ordered food. Menu is good. While waiting for my food observation of server using her hands to take out the salad/olives/tomatoes. No washing hands after touching phone/till etc. In normal times I question using hands to serve food in place of utensils, but now with covid I struggle to trust the hygiene standards of this cafe. Also no sign of salad being refrigerated. Not a hand sanitizer in sight Food was nice…… just hope I don’t live to regret this.

La media es un buen café, comida encantadora, precios razonables, volvería otra vez. Realmente disfruto pasar un buen rato con mi hermosa niña y le encantó este lugar porque es muy cómodo, tranquilo y bueno para relajarse y tener una buena conversación sin ningún tipo de molestia.

We visited this lovely place for a coffee whilst waiting for an appointment. The service was very good and it was lovely to see some toys and books in there. So it is very children friendly. Ladies doing a good job there. Definitely will be back.

Great food well cooked , our new regular haunt after Padel , nice staff eager to please . We’ve become regulars , coffee good , OJ fresh tasty although slow in coming , worth the wait

Of Caesar salad was enjoyed at this small but comfortable restaurant, well located by the tube station. Highly recommended.

Great little cafe mu hubby says there coffee is the best around i had a chicken mayo roll and to my disapointment the mayo was awful really slimy and cheap tasting it ruined the roll it came with a lovely dressed salad if only they could change to home made or at least hellmans, especially as its a little expensive, i know it buckhurst hill but prices a little steep,to then receive cheap mayo was a bitbof a let down, Otherwise it would have been lovely, the toilets could do with a litte refurb bit scary in there, and they shut a bit to early, staff are really friendly and the cafe is smart clean and comfy, and like a little community library,and kid are welcome whitch can be an issue in most cafes in buckhurst hill, just a few tweeks and it could be a real lttle treasure,

First rate food, drinks and customer service. I regularly come in here for a coffee, hot chocolate and treats with my kids. The coffee is the best locally in my opinion. The baked goods are amazing - the chocolate fudge cake is a big hit with my girls, especially when warmed up. Breakfast and lunch are equally good, using yummy produce (proper sausages!) and with a range of options. The service is prompt and thoughtful and it is a very welcoming place for a nice lunch or stop off with kids. I've seen that there is single very negative review on here - whilst I can't speak to someone else's experience, this bears absolutely no relation to my experiences as a regular customer, nor for my friends. I vısıt here once a week they do freshly roasted coffee that has the smooth taste . Theır food ıs great quaiıty

Come here at least twice a week, ladies who run the cafe are lovely and so helpful and coffee is freshly made and delicious every time!

Visited today with my husband and 4 year old. Food was lovely and they even made lunch that wasn’t on the menu for my daughter. Great service and atmosphere. Will definitely be back!!

I regularly come here as its the best in the area. Panini's are so tasty and the salads are just the best , especially the avocado with chicken and sun-dried toms !!:)...Not forgetting the best coffee in the area. Beats the big name coffee shops by far (plus good to support local independent business's !!) ...all at great prices..

This is a beautiful little cafe, the staff are so friendly and couldnt do enough for us. Party of three adults and 1 child. The salads were gorgeous and fresh and plentiful, jacket potatoe lovely and a baguette fresh and full. Milkshakes like youve never seen and the coffee was great. What more could you ask for. Wheelchair friendly as well. Will definitely be back.

Wow, the coffee here is totally amazing. IG9 Cafe have the best best coffee in town! And food is good here, and everything else is delicious!!!!!!!!!

A hidden gem of the local area, IG9 is well worth a visit, especially when have time to kill before getting the train. The cafe is located just by the station and has a great atmosphere, a friendly owner and great coffee and food.

Nice atmosphere, good food, good coffees and cakes. A little on the expensive side for what it is but makes for a decent morning break!

One of my favourite cafes has just had a revamp and it's looking great. Still yummy cakes/paninis and tea, but is alot more spacious now and looks a lot better. Really nice place to sit and very child-friendly. Will be spending even more time here...

A great little independent cafe. Plenty of veggie and vegan options, superb smoothies, good coffee. Very convenient for the new station entrance too. Let's hope it's saved from the Local Plan!

Great cafe next to the launderette. great jacket potatoes, smoothies are excellent and the mac cheese was so huge I had to take half away . Only thing was a good choice of breakfasts but do not do fried eggs or omelettes
