A stone’s throw from a rather dark and gloomy branch of Iberica La Terrassa is the name for its catering en plein air in a corner of Cabot Square itself. Cooking is done on a Josper grill on site thus the menu focuses upon grilled meats fish and vegetables and is much pared down from the main menu in the restaurant. This meant with hake from the main menu as well as monkfish tails from the specials menu removed, the fish on offer was limited to squid, prawns, langoustines or octopus. After a trio of chorizos with some crusty bread and olive oil comprising four pieces thus at £4.75 each over £1 a piece, we chose a whole baby chicken, pork ribs and a flat iron steak which turned out to be a small vertical pillar of meat. Everything was exquisitely cooked but with only an aubergine accompaniment, left all three of us feeling a tad peckish and despite only one pint of beer a bill of £77 including service.

Both the service and the portion sizes were dreadful. The waitress took plates/glasses away whilst we were still eating and the main meals didn't arrive at the same time. I paid £17 for a small portion of hake which could've been considered a starter, and the ribs were poor. We refused to pay the service charge and explained the problems to the waitress, who disregarded our claims and offered no form of apology. This was probably one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant having lived in Canary Wharf for years.

Lovely place to have a drink, friendly staff... but my key piece of advice would be to avoid the food at all costs. Overpriced and uncreative, very disappointing compared to Iberica's restaurants before the pandemic. I appreciate the past 13 months have been ridiculously challenging for restaurants, but lowering the quality and increasing the prices certainly isn't the answer. We had: - Octopus: we got a plate with 2 sad tentacles sitting on it. No garnish. No additional bells and whistles like mash or boiled potatoes, for example, which are cheap and go really well with octopus. Cost: £20, or £10 per tentacle. It was nice enough but not outstanding. - Red prawns: 5 tiny prawns, shell-on, sitting on a bed of salt. Really hard to shell, which suggests they were not particularly fresh. Cost: £17. - Pluma Ibérica: I reckon about 100 grams of grilled meat all by its lonesome sitting on a plate way too big for its contents. Just the meat. Cost: £18. The best element of that meal was the bread and olive oil, which is quite telling. So... go have a drink in the lovely terrace by all means. But unless you're about to die of starvation, I'd suggest avoiding the food.

Very nice garden, close to the fountains and with nice views of the skyscrapers, an interesting combination! This is not a place only for cocktails and drinks though, you have to try the food. Properly cooked meats, tasty cheese, carefully prepared sauces. We were impressed as we were not expecting the food to be that tasty

Have been to a number of Iberica restaurants many times and enjoyed good quality food and service. Sadly this visit on Bank Holiday Monday was quite the opposite. Writing drink brought -I didnt bother to complain. Cheese platter - meagre and not a great variety and 3 tiny pieces of bread. I twice told the waiter I wanted the Iberica Secreto medium rare . Then informed there was no secreto - only pluma. It arrived medium plus and was sent back. The “rosemary “ potatoes on all 3 plates had no rosemary and on my portion were 50% cooked and hard. No sign of a waiter to enquire if the meal was ok until the bill arrived. When asked we explained all the issues. Waitress just looked at us and walked off. The whole experience could be expected in a high street cafe - not in Iberica for the prices charged.

Treated some friends from Edinburgh to drinks here before heading into town. The surrounding are lovely but the staff are unfriendly and have a terrible attitude. The service is disgraceful and that isn't an exaggeration. Ordered 2 beers only 1 arrived, it was warm and flat. I advised the waiter we ordered 2, there was no effort to bring the missing beer. I asked several waiters but clearly it wasn't their table so no interest. I opted for walking to the bar with the warm flat pint and advised I would like a replacement and the other beer which I had been waiting for. The bar man seemed mad that I had advised the beer was warm and flat, there was no apology in fact he was staring at me in a scary manner. He then slammed down 2 pints which spilled slightly and he just walked off, didn't mop up or apologise. I returned to my table with the beers which were still flat, I then had to ask for the bill which was the same carry on. We paid cash and waited atleast 10 minutes for change. I then waved to the girl so she could deliver the change to our table and she shook her head and tried to deliver out change to another table. Luckily they were honest so she then gave us our change. Incidentally there was service charge added to the bill!! I really couldn't be bothered to challenge it so just left the beers and wine as was and left. I won't be back.

I love eating at this place because it has some of the most lovely food and in an outdoor area if you can get there early enough when the sun is shining. Unfortunately, ordering can be difficult and is often misunderstood and not reiterated back to the customer, when something is missed it is not often rectified quickly enough hence leading to cancelled orders or taking orders off the bill. The waiters / waitresses are not very tentative or keeping an eye on customers tables etc. they are more running around a little chaotic! Like I said, food is lovely and that's the only reason why I would go back but when I am not in a hurry. Top tip would be to ask for the bill when food arrives, then you just need to catch someone's attention to pay.

A busy Monday evening in summer. On the plus side the staff were friendly enough once their attention had been caught . And of course the setting was ideal on a humid evening in July . However there was a serious disconnect between the bar and kitchen. Two beers arrived after much promoting ( one had been ordered), twenty minute wait for a menu, food then delivered and eaten prior to a thirty minute wait for the wine that was ordered to accompany the food. You get the idea. The tapas were not memorable save mussels in a bechamel sauce. What a missed opportunity.

Very very little fruit even though I thought sangria is supposed to have fruit in it. And far too much ice which was immensely disappointing (only three drinks from 1 jug (£24)).Also, a service charge was applied on top which I would have been happier to pay if the waitress was more welcoming when she brought our drinks over to us. It doesn't hurt to say hello (I didn't die because I said thankyou).

Popped in here whilst waiting for my husband to finish work. Thought I'd sit and have a cocktail in the sunshine. Getting seen initially wasn't a problem. I was provided with a drinks menu quite quickly at my seat by a friendly staff member. However I had to chase up actually ordering. 10 mins later when my husband arrived my drink still hadn't materialised. We tracked down the waitress and changed the order to two cocktails instead of 1. Another 10 mins and still no drinks. We chased. She said they were being made.... so it went on. She seemed to feel that the bar was busy, but to be honest the tables were mostly empty and the bar area had a group of men stood drinking beers - not that busy. And there were LOADS of staff. Whether there had been a function just before I got there (4.45) I don't know but everywhere on the bar and work stations had empty unwashed glasses and staff seemed to be just be moving tables about. Unfortunately it wasn't relaxing. It became stressful as we had a dinner reservation at 6 and at 5.15 drinks still hadn't arrived... They came eventually and the house cocktail (gin and cranberry based) was really very good. I'd be reluctant to come again unless time really wasn't an issue - and to be honest I hadn't thought time was an issue this time.......

Went to Iberica with friends. It was a Wednesday evening and we hadn't booked. The place was busy and therefore didn't know if we'd get a table as we were a group of 10. However, we were accommodated and a table was quickly sorted for us. One of our group was Spanish and therefore he ordered for all of us picking a selection of the dishes that he thought would be best. All of the choices he made were great even the octopus tentacle! The waitress was really nice and chatted away in Spanish. It did seem strange that the menu was not available in Spanish which wasn't a problem for most of us but would have been good for our Spanish friend. The Sangria was good and so were the desserts. It was nice to be able to ask someone from Spain if the dishes were authentic and the same as what you would get if in Spain. Our friend confirmed that they were all very good and that we must come again next year when we visit. So that has to be an excellent recommendation when coming from someone Spanish!

On one of the hottest days of the year's sitting in the open air next to a water feature in the vicinity of two large tents, one for the preparation of food beneath a huge side of vertically hung jamon, the other for the service of beverages including draught beer, wines, cocktails and the like, I could have blinked and imagined myself not in the middle of London's second financial district, but in an Andalusian bazaar. The menu is fairly concise covering small bite-size morsels, hams and cheeses, bocadillas (filled rolls) and dishes centring on eggs and chips with different meats and vegetables. After ordering a draught beer I chose a ham and tomato bocadilla and a tortilla. After it had taken rather a long time to order everything arrived relatively quickly. The bocadilla clearly contained the finest jamon sliced from the joint on the counter with tomatoes added rather like a tangy spread. The tortilla was firm and substantial, more of a sharing portion. With a double espresso the bill at over £20 wasn't exactly cheap.

A recent business trip took me to Madrid, a city I have always loved visiting for many reasons. One of the exciting things about Spain’s capital (and indeed the country in general) is its food scene, from high-end to the more humble street-side café. The Spaniards love eating, and if they can do it outdoors, then all the better. It is often lamented that London lacks both the weather and, arguably, the mentality to replicate the continental European model. Nonetheless, it is pleasing to see...

My husband and i had walked past this on the way to get a river taxi during the day, but didn`t know what it was as it`s very hidden, we could just hear music being played. That evening after our disastrous meal at Browns we went for a walk to find a bar and walked past Iberica again, so we had a look, what can i say, WOW, it was so lovely. I ordered a jug of red wine Sangria and it was absolutely delicious. It was filled with so much fresh fruit it was like having a drink and dessert and i`ve never seen cranberries in Sangria before. The glasses were just jam jars with handles, very quirky and unique. I so wish i`d known about this before as we`d have eaten here too, the food looked amazing. Beautiful location. Didn't have the wine we wanted. Wasn't very much food on the menu.Paid 20 pounds for 20 pieces of ham. They failed to give us cutlery for our aubergine and then took 5 minutes after we had asked for it. They still put a 10% service charge on.

Went to the Terraza area (different menu from main restaurant) and in my view this place is completely overhyped - trading on the wave of its famous head chef. That said, the staff were fantastic, really helpful and welcoming. Also the ingredients (eg, ham) were top notch. The portions are tiny - the size of the tapas (smaller than a small cracker) would have been laughable if they were not that expensive, in my view.

Very nice place to be in a late afternoon for a drink before dinner. Amazing if it is a sunny day. Very good tapas and snacks to open the apetite. The sangria is also very good and not expensive. But most of all the scenario is beautiful.

As a person who invited my friends to this restaurant (because I love your paella) a few weeks ago, I was absolutely shocked at how you treated her in review here after she commented that she ordered a spinach with chickpeas that were oversalted, returned the WHOLE dish, said to waitress why they couldn’t eat it, and it still was included in the bill. And now you are accusing your customers of eating the food and complaining it was included in the bill. I hope that you just mistaken my friends with other customers who ate the food and didn’t like it being included in the bill. Otherwise, it’s so disgraceful to accuse a person of lying in a reply to their review. And on top of that you got personal with a comment “you tend to enjoy ranting on google reviews. I DO FIND THAT SAD FOR YOU”. Seriously? So you, as a restaurant owner (or idk who reply to the review here) you checked her profile, checked her other reviews and decided to comment on it with an additional “I do find that sad for you”. Well, I do find that a very unprofessional attitude.

Whenever my daughter visits the cool part of London she always insists we go here for lunch. Great, authentic tapas, friendly service.
