Our family party of 3 had a fantastic experience at Bravas. We had an early reservation (5pm) so the restaurant was quiet when we arrived, but by 6pm the place was heaving and had a great atmosphere. The location right on the dock is very picturesque. We ordered an assortment of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. The yellowfin is a small serving but packs an almighty flavour punch! The belly pork was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend giving Bravas a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Our order was taken quickly and we didn't wait long for food to start arriving. Food was mostly pretty tasty and appealing. Unfortunately service after the food was delivered was very slow. No one checked on our table for ages. We then asked for the menu again (to order dessert) and water. These were completely forgotten until we had to get the attention of another server who then brought the menus but forgot about the water...another long wait until we could flag him down again...the restaurant was fairly busy but may be needed more servers?

Lovely food, we were a party of 4 and shared 10 savoury dishes. They were all delicious as were the individual desserts. Will definitely return and will ask for all hot food to be served at the same time as the potatoes were cold before the mains arrived. Otherwise fabulous meal in a lovely location.

Food is ok, at par with other tapas places. Nothing impressive nor wrong. They grill things on spot, which gives a good flavor on their meat and seafood dishes. However, portion is on the small side. They did not serve bread beforehand. And you can see the ingredients are not the top notch(gambas are just small shrimps) The place is quite crowded. The staff and other customers kept hitting my chair. Sitting was not very comfortable. 37pp without drinking is making it difficult for me to come back again.

We went as a small group for my birthday and really enjoyed the food. There were some delicious dishes, especially the pork belly, lamb chops and octopus; although everything was good. The service was a bit hit and miss, sometimes struggling to get someone's attention even though the restaurant was quiet and there were staff standing around not serving. That wouldn't put me off going back, though.

This felt like brandy melvlile customer service. I walked to the door with a group of people and there was a man standing there. I did not know that he worked there as he did not greet us. As i’m crossing the threshold of the door he then finally acknowledges me and says “can i help you”. He sat us fairly quickly, however he tells us we only have 1 hour to eat. The waiter was also rude and didn’t care whether we lived or died. The food was too salty and the menu is not food allergen friendly. Would never come back to this place. Felt unwanted for just wanting to eat. The atmosphere was great but that’s all.

Bravas: A London Gem Bravas has consistently been a standout dining destination in London since its opening. My recent visit reaffirmed its reputation for exceptional cuisine and ambiance. A Sensory Experience The restaurant's quirky interior and prime location create a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is a delightful showcase of Spanish flavors, featuring dishes that are both familiar and innovative. Highlights from our meal included the savory anchovies, the crispy batata bravas, and the succulent prawns in chili oil. The octopus was cooked to perfection, tender yet with a satisfying bite. To conclude, the bread pudding was a decadent and indulgent treat. A Wine Lover's Paradise The extensive Spanish wine list is a testament to Bravas' commitment to authentic cuisine. The carefully curated selection offers something to suit every palate, from light and refreshing whites to bold and robust reds. A Must-Visit Bravas is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. The combination of exceptional food, impeccable service, and a delightful atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in London.

MORE AT OpenTable

Lovely atmospheric place on St Katherine’s Dock which is a relatively quiet little oasis right next to a tower bridge. So- I like this place and definitely would recommend it. But for those who like to know every detail, let me give you the slightly less than perfect bits first. The reason I’ve given 4 rather than 5 stars. But none of these things were major. I was a solo walk-up, because their online booking system doesn’t take a booking on the day. It was great they could accommodate, but I was told where to sit, didn’t get any choice of table at all even though the place was less than half full, and really I would have preferred an outside table, which I guess they were saving for groups to make the place look more full. Having said that, any seat in this place is good. But maybe please offer people, especially solo travellers who don’t want to stare right at the bar all night when there’s a view outside, a choice where to sit. They temporarily forgot one of my dishes. I had to ask after quite some waiting time, as all my other dishes had been eaten, and staff were flying around everywhere. It turned out somehow they’d forgotten to make it. After letting them know, this was very quickly resolved. Many people outside were eating a classic chorizo tapas, but it was nowhere to be seen on the menu. I nearly didn’t go in, because this was confusing. When ordering my food I asked about this and the waitress (not great English and I don’t speak Spanish ) said -I think- that they do make this but it’s not on the menu. Why not? What else, what other classic tapas was I missing that can be ordered but inexplicably aren't on the menu? They need to fix this! I asked for chorizo and got it. But I can’t fathom why it’s not on the menu when so many people seemed to have ordered it. The menu is very limited for a tapas place. I mean, not what you’d probably expect. But I guess the reason is so they can concentrate on making the things they do, very well indeed. Ok. There we go. Now here are the extremely good things, which massively outweigh my little negatives, and are why I’d definitely go back. In no particular order. -the staff are very friendly -the food, whatever you choose, is extremely good. Surprisingly good in fact. Excellent. Extremely tasty and beautifully presented. - compared to other places around the location I.e. general ripoff London, it’s not horrendously expensive. Even the wine is reasonably priced, especially for London, and much cheaper than my nearby hotel. Oh and even the wine was delicious. -Service is fast. You can turn up, order, eat multiple tapas and a couple of glasses of wine, and be on your way pretty quickly if you want to be. But I didn’t feel rushed at any point. - Location is nice. A calm waterside refuge from the noise, pollution etc. of London. All in all, I really liked the place, and will definitely return. Would give them 4 and a half stars if possible. And with a couple of tweaks they’d be 5 star all the way.

The food was alright, there were no highlights though. Sangria was sweeter than expected and appeared to be mixed with some juice. My friend did not like her mussels and thought these were off. The place is so badly managed! With so many empty tables, three of us had to share a small square table which was so close to another one. We could hear their conversation loud and clear. The “manager” who led us to the table had an attitude - either squash in the small space or leave! It’s very unpleasant to use such a small table. The place is noisy as people have to shout each other since all tables are small and so close together. The food is ordinary but pricey for tapas. The sea bass dish is tiny for £16, the size is about 1/3 the size of a main. Service is poor, had to ask 3 times for dessert menu. Will definitely not go back there unless all other restaurants are closed.

The food is magnificent, don’t get me wrong… but the way we were talked to by the manager was absolutely unacceptable. We walked in on a Saturday and asked if they had a table for two outside to which the manager looked at us like we had insulted him and we did not belong in his establishment. After further explaining that we were just looking for a walk-in table and that we wouldn’t stay for long, he begrudgingly lead us to the table and chucked some menus at us for our viewing pleasure. At this point, we could not help but notice the seismic tonal shift of the manager as he welcomed presumably one of his regular customers. We understand the importance of repeat business but, repeat business needs to start somewhere and that is with *all* customers feeling welcome. Normally we would not tolerate the level of judgment we were greeted with, but we have already been to this restaurant 2 years ago and wanted to come back for the outstanding food given that we don’t spend a lot of time in the area anymore. The salmon rulada was a standout with three neatly wrapped parcels of smoked salmon containing deep fried shoestring sweet potatoes with a horseradish cream. But unfortunately their incredible taste was not sufficient to gloss over the managers disrespect. This review, however, is not to cast shade on the waiting staff who have carried out their job courteously and efficiently. If the management were able to rise to the level of their waiting staff then this review would have far kinder things to say. Needless to say, if you’re looking to have amazing tapas in the magical setting of St. Kathrine’s Dock, then you shouldn’t look any further.

Waiter was so good, engaging and informative. Food was wonderful. Value is down because of a forced service charge. I’d have rather paid the tip as a thank you for wonderful service than it be forced on a bill (for 2 people) and it would probably have been more than 12.5% they automatically charge.

Bravas at St. Katherine's Docks in London offers a comfortable tapas dining experience that was a nice place to share some small plates and enjoy some excellent company. During our visit, we sampled a variety of dishes trying to get a good sense of the restaurant's vibe and diverse menu. It all started to come out with an efficient regularity and the staff were keen to clear the plates as we went. The Brava Potatoes, were served with a Salsa Brava and a “Whipped-to-Order” Aioli - we enjoyed them. The Malaguena Salad, featuring pineapple, fennel, and a sherry vinaigrette, which I expected to pop with zing, but was actually fairly flat and straightforward As seafood lovers, we got the Gambas al Ajilo with chillies, garlic, olive oil, and coriander. These were flavorful, and I liked these and the lamb the most. The Yellowtail Tiradito, accompanied by tobiko, ponzu sauce, jalapeno, and daikon has some big flavours, which were okay, but with the strong citrus and jalapeno, it felt a little bit confused and made the yellowtail irrelevant. The meat dishes were the Galician Beef Short Ribs, the meat was fall apart tender and the crispy onion on top like onion rings were nice, if the menu didn’t mention truffle I might not have noticed it and think they could do definitely do something fresher to make this a stand out dish. The “Moorish Spiced Lamb Chops” were great and cooked perfectly and were the best dish. They come with a a rosemary aioli, which basically tasted like mayonnaise, but was still nice and the lamb is worth trying if you visit. Overall, Bravas offers a pleasant atmosphere and a nice variety of dishes, and I left thinking maybe we just ordered the wrong plates during our visit. It was still good enough to recommend visiting if you're looking for a reasonably priced meal in a charming location. While the food didn't blow us away, it was consistently good. We weren’t drinking, and It might be that enjoying some wine with your meal might be a requirement to elevating the experience even further. If you find yourself in the area and aren’t sure where else takes your fancy, why not give Bravas a go?

The restaurant was pleasant and the food was very tasty. However the service let it down a little. We were given small plates to use and sets of tongs rather than a knife and fork. The tongs weren't suitable to use with the beef dish we ordered so we ended up having to take another pair of tongs from a neighbouring table in order to hold the beef down and pull the strips away to eat. At the end of the meal we ordered a cheese platter which again was delicious but we were not given clean plates so resorted to taking plates from neighbouring table. The waitresses seemed pleasant enough but their understanding of English language was poor and it was difficult to make ourselves understood. This was particularly evident when it came to pay and was exacerbated by technical problems with the card machine. So, overall, nice place, nice food, could do better on the service.

We have been to this place a few times over the years as we are local to the area. Unfortunately I am giving it a very medium review today, as it turns out this place is not vegan friendly. We told the waiter we were vegan. We ordered off the vegetarian menu. This visit, the waiter informed us that the potatoes are not vegan, even without the aioli. We had been told before that they were and eaten them, which is sad. We ordered a salad off of the vegetarian menu. When it arrived, it tasted of fish. Turns out it has fish sauce on it but is listed as vegetarian. We explained that this is not vegetarian and certainly not vegan. This would be particularly problematic for someone with allergies. This restaurant should consider how it caters to dietary requirements and allergies. It turns out their limited vegan options are even more limited than first imagined... We likely won't be returning. A shame.

We stopped in here before our tour of the Tower of London and it did not disappoint. Absolutely recommend you check out. It is right on the docks so has a great view. James was attending us and he was absolutely phenomenal. Gave tons of recommendations and everything we had had amazing flavor. We wish we lived in the area so we could be regulars.

As a person who invited my friends to this restaurant (because I love your paella) a few weeks ago, I was absolutely shocked at how you treated her in review here after she commented that she ordered a spinach with chickpeas that were oversalted, returned the WHOLE dish, said to waitress why they couldn’t eat it, and it still was included in the bill. And now you are accusing your customers of eating the food and complaining it was included in the bill. I hope that you just mistaken my friends with other customers who ate the food and didn’t like it being included in the bill. Otherwise, it’s so disgraceful to accuse a person of lying in a reply to their review. And on top of that you got personal with a comment “you tend to enjoy ranting on google reviews. I DO FIND THAT SAD FOR YOU”. Seriously? So you, as a restaurant owner (or idk who reply to the review here) you checked her profile, checked her other reviews and decided to comment on it with an additional “I do find that sad for you”. Well, I do find that a very unprofessional attitude.

A stone’s throw from a rather dark and gloomy branch of Iberica La Terrassa is the name for its catering en plein air in a corner of Cabot Square itself. Cooking is done on a Josper grill on site thus the menu focuses upon grilled meats fish and vegetables and is much pared down from the main menu in the restaurant. This meant with hake from the main menu as well as monkfish tails from the specials menu removed, the fish on offer was limited to squid, prawns, langoustines or octopus. After a trio of chorizos with some crusty bread and olive oil comprising four pieces thus at £4.75 each over £1 a piece, we chose a whole baby chicken, pork ribs and a flat iron steak which turned out to be a small vertical pillar of meat. Everything was exquisitely cooked but with only an aubergine accompaniment, left all three of us feeling a tad peckish and despite only one pint of beer a bill of £77 including service.
