The staff are real friendly and accommodating. Would recommend a visit. Note that the drinks are small but flavorful, so it's easy to draw up a bill if you're thirsty!

Interesting and quiet little place with very friendly staff and a great atmosphere

Amazing place, great bartenders and ambience - you can just tell that the staff are enjoying themselves and remain extremely motivated, they are also extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu. After leaving, one of my friends left a gift bag in the speakeasy, one of the bartenders came running after us with the bag handing it back to us, that just shows true dedication. I cannot recall asking for his name but I shall describe him as having a ponytail and a beard. Special shoutout to him for that.

Surprised to see the majority of reviews are okay for this place after our visit on Saturday evening. Of all of the speakeasy cocktail bars in Bristol I would not recommend this one…A really bizarre experience for our group, unfriendly and unwelcoming from the very start, actually tried to complain about the person looking after our table, Ashley, to be told that she was in fact the manager - couldn’t believe it. Really rude, unprofessional, unwelcoming and none of us will be returning. For what reason I’m unsure she clearly took a disliking to our group (all aged in our 30s) from the beginning and it all went downhill from there. The cocktail bar itself wasn’t special, took ages to answer the buzzer whilst we waited outside in the cold and cocktails weren’t great either. I’d also requested when booking that our group of 12 sit together which wasn’t accommodated. If you’re looking for a good speakeasy cocktail bar I would sooner recommend Her Majesty’s Secret Service or Milk Thistle instead, wouldn’t waste your time here! Average place and strange atmosphere.

Finally had the pleasure to visit this place noted in my list. And I abs regret not being this exceptional cocktail bar so long! Each cocktail is masterpiece, both visually stunning and incredibly flavorful. Two bartenders here are artists, crafting creativity and inspiration and interesting ideas into their drinks. My friend and I are also love the decoration style. Cozy and warm. The time travel series is one you guys must try

Absolutely 5 🌟 drinks and would say it's a must visit for that alone. Service from the lady front of house was wonderful, the others all seemed a bit too involved in their own conversations though. Ambiance was lovely and chilled, but the seating doesn't invite a long stay. The drinks though were as insane as the pseudoscience in the menu. If its too much, skip to the back pages for a simple run down, or ask the staff for recommendations, you won't be disappointed.

Welcoming in staff, manage to get a table at quite short notice which was appreciated. Good and interesting cocktails as well as making the classics to a very high standard

This place is cool from the outside, waiting to be let in, and the concept of a speakeasy is very fun! However for us it was doing too much. Choosing from 18 cocktails was overwhelming but nice to see them offering variety. Our main issue was that all the different types of spirits were in brand names, leaving us guessing which type of alcohol was in each. It felt rather pretentious and the vibe was a bit stuffy. Not really up our street but if you’re into cocktails big time then worth a visit.

Cool little hidden bar with a good diverse menu, friendly staff, and without horrid blaring music (unlike that other cocktail bar you're looking to visit).

A cosy environment fueled by Fern and Dan's relaxed and natural hospitality. Fern did an excellent job with walking my girlfriend and I through the menu where we chose some very delicious drinks tailored around our taste. Will recommend to anyone who's even slightly interested in cocktails.

Very intimate and cozy vibes, perfect for a date. Not so sure about the small taxidermy birds as decoration, but drinks were fantastic and creative and service was great.

Coolest most low-key cocktail bar in Bristol. Feels like a film set, and drinks are crazy good.

Booked for a fairly large group which they were happy to have, turned up with one extra and the waiter couldn’t have been more hostile. He remained quite patronising for the remainder of the time there. Drinks were pricey for size and weren’t overly nice. Not one of our party enjoyed it.

Excellent selection of cocktails and excellent cocktails. I organised a surprise birthday party for my friend and as the guest of honour and all the guests are not from Bristol, I was unable to get a proper headcount and the number of attendees increased the week before the booking and the staff were so helpful in accommodating my request for a bigger table/space. I will be going back very soon and will be making this place a go-to for a nightcap.

Hidden speak easy- great cocktails! Friendly staff, brought my family from the USA. We were the last ones in there, but still accommodated and never made us feel rushed. Would totally recommend to those visiting Bristol.

Well up until tonight I loved this place. Previously fantastic cocktails, great ambience, great service. Tonight, witnessed another patron complain about the wine, the Cocktail I have been having for over a year tasted different, and the same with another favourite. My companion said the same as they have been going here with me and had the same favourite drinks, 6 people in the bar, very unusual for a Friday, the ladies working talking loudly about their love life and drinking shots, inattentive service, very unprofessional, has the bar changed hands? I will not return again.

The best cocktail bar in Bristol - any visit here feels exclusive and special. Ive visited 4 times now, the drinks are exceptional, inventive and exquisitely crafted by the friendly staff. 10 out of 10!

Exceptional 'speakeasy'-style place. The drinks are of the highest quality and the staff are very attentive and thorough with their drink guides and overall service. Not for those on a budget, but it makes for a perfect end of the night in a superb cosy and classy atmosphere.

A great night and such an amazing ambiance. The cocktails are good, the menu is a journey in and of itself. It will definitely dent the wallet though but totally worth it. Would absolutely recommend for a mellow and memorable night out.

Came here on the evening of Friday 25th March. We had pre booked in advanced. Got there on time and was rammed in the corner next to a large party of people on the neighbouring table. The waitress took our drinks orders eventually after sometime,also rather reluctantly. Then the same waitress came back 5 minutes later to ask what we would like to drink. Anyhow, this happened again with asking if we have ordered/forgetting to bring us over our drinks which had been sat on the side. In the end I walked up to the bar and ordered direct with cocktail maker. Even though it's meant to be all part of the experience and table service. May I add it's a very small venue and it wasn't busy. Then had the audacity to add service charge on top. We have been here few times before and it was polar opposite experience which on previous occasions we couldn't fault it. Below par service. If you're looking for an up market cocktail bar to try, where you'll be looked after and buy into the service/experience/atmosphere. Then I would not reccomend

Really cool speakeasy cocktail bar. Lovely venue, lovely cocktails and really great service. As well as this it's really great that's it's open nice and late! Would recommend :)

Very average if you are used to decent and well thought out themed cocktails bars. The drinks and menu have a fun nordic theme, decor is French parlour and music is tacky pop jazz. I really wish they were playing the Hu or Heilung to match the drinks theme. Or pick any of the other themes they had going on and stuck with it. We left very quickly after one drink

Excellent venue, loved the decor. The only let down was the service! We sat in this cool little room and felt as if we were forgotten all night - we kept having to flag down the servers. Shame because it was a cool place with nice cocktails.

Love the secret door, knock and be patient. Sometimes very patient. But someone will pop open the door and in you go, to a dark candle lit world with period furniture, an old piano and gorgeous cocktails! Staff are super attentive. The slight shabby chic look adds to the vibe. Oh. And the cocktails…. ❤️

From the outside you’d probably question ringing the door bell, however you should - an amazing establishment with beautiful cocktails done with stories of how it relates to the city.

Great place to bring your tinder date. "Ah, let me show you where it is... Yes, hidden away, indeed..." Look at their eyes sparkle when you know exactly where to knock. Just don't forget to book a table or you'll stay outside and won't get laid.

A really great experience for a works party. The drinks are amazing and each comes with a bit of background on their inspiration.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The drinks are terrible. I had three Frazzle crisps in my cocktail and my friend had a boiled sweet as the highlight of his drink. Music policy has a awful. Indie rock nonsense which doesn’t suit the vibe they are trying to create. Basically, a cheap imitation of the Crying Wolf.

Great place to relax and have a cocktail. The atmosphere is chilled but sophisticated. I would definitely go back.

Great perfectly formed cocktails. Lots of original flavours from the staid to the whacky eg bacon, banana, peanut. Nice well trained staff and a nice relaxed but sophisticated vibe. Went to the sister place too, milk thistle. Great service.

Great speakeasy bar, nice place to wrap up a night out or maybe even start one. Decor is very picturesque, not easy to find unless you're with a local who knows the area. Worth a visit!

Fab cocktails. Very dark do couldn't read the menu. But someone comes to your table asks what u generally like to drink, flavours etc and picks some choices for you. A good way to try someting new.

Love this place. So different, lovely interior & a fantastic selection of spirits in particular rare whiskies. Very knowledgeable staff!

A hidden gem! Part of the experience is finding the black door and buzzing in. The speakeasy bar has a nice atmosphere. Filling only the tables available, the chat, music and dim lighting makes for a perfect spot for friends to enjoy the cocktails. The menu, Midnight in Paris follows the tale of the private detective Kinsey Morgan from the 1920s. The staff were friendly and chatty. As the bartenders rotate as floor staff, they can give recommendations for different tastes. Cheers 🍸

Great place, so well hidden on the outside that we weren't actually sure we were in the right place. You ring the doorbell, wait and then are welcomed in by very friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere and some very interesting drinks.

Finding such a hidden bar on google maps made me sceptical but it was a lovely experience, beautiful service and drinks. However, these drinks were not cheap indeed, worth the price however if you are treating yourself or another for a fancy evening in a very fancy bar for pleasant evening.
