Huxley's Bar & Kitchen in Hillingdon

Was hier absolut positiv hervorzuheben ist,ist das es sogar eine glutenfreie Karte gibt. Wer sich ebenfalls mit Nahrungsmittelunverträglichkeiten rum ärgern muss,wird wissen wie froh man über sowas ist. Dennoch muss ich aber sagen das die Qualität der Lebensmittel und die Zubereitung als solches nicht sonderlich hochwertig scheint. Ich würde unser Essen als in Ordnung bezeichnen,ein Highlight war es aber nicht. Wie man es von Flughafen Lokalen/Restaurants eben auch kennt,war es völlig überlaufen und dementsprechend laut. Unsere Bedienung war freundlich,ich habe jedoch auch eine andere Situation mit einem anderen Kellner beobachten können/müssen,der leider nicht sonderlich freundlich zu seinen Gästen war. Dennoch,unser Besuch war in Ordnung als Überbrückung bis zum Flug. Mehr sollte es ja auch nicht sein.

The food served in this medium-priced bar/restaurant exceeded my expectations - probably the best, when compared with similar food outlets I’ve used recently at Terminal 5. The staff are particularly pleasant and helpful, when you consider the high throughput. Typical menu prices are: All Day Breakfast £13.95, Fish and Chips £14.95 and Chilli con Carne (recommended) at £13.95

6am Friday. Transferring between flights after a very long haul. Pleasant greeting. Seated and served quickly. I choose the larger full English breakfast as, for just a few quid extra, you get triple the content of the standard. Faultless full English arrived promptly. Eggs cooked just as I’d asked. My son loved his porridge + hit chocolate beverage and my wife enjoyed her bacon bap. This really helped to keep us going through the latter stages of a 36 hour voyage. It was deeply appreciated! Thanks for an awesome experience. I’d heartily recommend them Full English breakfast to all travelers.

Whenever I'm in Terminal 5, I look forward to stopping at Huxley's. They used to have my favorite crisps, Real Crisps, but I'm sad they no longer do. However, they have London Pride on tap. I don't drink much beer but always have at least one Fullers whenever I'm in London. Huxley's is a good place to relax whilst waiting for your flight information to be posted. There's a screen right there in the pub.

Perfection in the middle of T5, when others were bursting at their seems, I popped into Huxleys Restaurant, I was seated straight away, staff were polite and food was tasty. I had the Chilli Con Carne, served as it should be presented as it shoukd be - no slap dash here, I added a portion of sweet potato fries, cooked perfectly. Only negative was £2.80 for a soft drink - a bit over the top.

I always enjoy Huxleys in Terminal 5 (airside). Huxleys is a bit like Wetherspoons, only better. Off airport, Wetherspoons are very cheap but at the airport, you may as well eat and drink in Huxleys as their prices are reasonable and quality very good. In T5, this is my go to restaurant.

Good food, good service, everything you need while waiting your flight. I recommend this restaurant as my favorite option in Heathrow.

Whilst waiting for our flight we decided on this restaurant which looked nice enough. I ordered eggs Benedict and my wife ordered a full English breakfast. We had smoothies first which were lovely. However the food was atrocious. Plate cold and food warm-cold. No runny egg yolk which is a must. Scrambled egg in the full English tasted like rubber. The food was replaced and even worse. Eggs under cooked and muffins weren’t toasted. Please see attached picture of tomatoes. Manager came over and asked us what the problem was. He then apologised and said he didn’t expect us to pay. Upsetting as we only wanted some good food.

Airport food is frequently ho hum and expensive. Huxley's, in Terminal 5, is a pleasant exception. Our noon flight departed from this terminal so and we spent a few hours here before taking off. We had breakfast here and enjoyed the food and service. I ordered eggs benedict and my travel companion ordered a vegetarian breakfast. The food was carefully prepared and delivered to our table by a cheerful server. The atmosphere is casual chic and the service is quick and careful. Free airport wi-fi.

We had eaten here on previous trips. For airport dining it's okay, but certainly nothing special. We kept our expectations low and ordered what we thought would be good bets -- a hamburger and a chilli dog. Again, okay but nothing special. Service was good, and everything seemed clean enough, but the best I can say is that it was a pleasure to get away from the crowds in the concourse.

Handily placed just outside security, airside. Had a steak which was good. Only issue that as you’re airside you get a blunt knife to cut it, which isn’t ideal. One of the better options in T5 though

We had some time to kill before our flight and wanted a good sit-down breakfast. We had a great breakfast here. Our waitress was pleasant and fast. Even though the place was very busy, we got our food fairly quickly. I had pancakes and bacon and they were excellent. My cousin had salmon on toast, which she also raved about. Wanting to get rid of our foreign currency before we headed back to the US, they took a combo of euros and pounds. Great place.

He comido en este restaurante por primera vez haciendo escala en el aeropuerto y al menos la ensalada está bastante buena. Vendré en otras ocasiones para seguir probando el resto de la carta. El lugar está limpio y los camareros son muy serviciales.

Definately come here if your gluten free They get the manager to come over and take the order and they can advise a NY extras Gluten free beer as well. Great staff very friendly

Quick friendly service and tasty food. I ordered the salmon and scrambled eggs, it was warm, not hot. But it did come out quick as naturally being an airport we were tight on time. Would eat here again, as I want to try the espresso martini

Great place to take a break from the bustle of Heathrow. The food was great, and the tea was just what I was craving. Maria was friendly and helpful.

Just arriving at the not too busy terminal 5 at Heathrow, we looking for a place for lunch. Huxley's had still tables available and we had been welcomed and guided to our table.

Me precio bueno aunque muy similar a lo que se consigue en Mexico. La libra es cara así que las comidas se elevan bastante. Pedí cerveza guiness, prefiero la Negra Modelo sin duda. Buen lugar, recomendable.

Poor service, watered down tomato juice - Bloody Mary was red water, soggy bread, can’t split the bill this was like being in the 1960s. Obviously this restaurant is in trouble as they are cutting corners. Waitress didn’t know what a Bloody Mary was, cowboys probably describes them best

The service was excellent. We ordered macaroni cheese. The portion was generous and it was tasty, however, although dish was dangerously hot, the food was unevenly heated. We drank our favourite pints of draft Guiness which was not up to the standard we usually enjoy elsewhere. Chocolate fondant pudding was stodgey and tasteless. The waitress was very attentive and venue looked ckean and tidy

Ok you're in an airport so you don't expect too much.

Pleasant comforting British food in a pleasant atmosphere. My bartender was Cilan who was very attentive and friendly.

With 5 hours to spend at Heathrow T5 between flights I spent quite a lot of time walking around trying to find a nice place. This is a normal airport pub, but staff are attentive and polite - especially Maria stood out as my waitress today. Happy to come again!

Poor experience and value for money. We asked our sever how she was and we got a shrug. Bought-in avocado paste supplemented with a few slices of fresh avo (so not really smashed). Teeny slithers of bacon like you find in a BLT sandwich. Eggs were cheap and anaemia. Good coffee. Avoid

Very kind, very polite, very fast and good service, very good food and they really take care for you. We will come back.

If you are at Terminal 5 your options are a bit limited. Huxley’s does a decent job of being an onsite pub. The all day breakfast is hearty, the burgers are very hearty, and the steak sandwich is a good light lunch choice. Service is prompt and as inpersonal as you’d expect in a place with this kind of table turn over. They are pleasant and helpful though, they always find me a table with a power socket, the WiFi is reliable here. Food and fly... It’s my usual choice here.

Maria and Aga took very good care of us giving us the local recommendations we were looking for during our 8 hour layover and taking the time to understand our tastes so as to make sure we ordered something that would make us happy. Thank you!

This place was busy but food arrived within the fifteen minutes I gave them. Good fresh and tasty. My second choice to Gordon Ramsey’s but due to price. No complaints.

We stopped here on Friday 1st Nov for breakfast. We both had very good meals and the service was very good. I know and appreciate it’s hard to please everyone all the time but genuinely if a breakfast is piping hot and you get what you ordered then there can be no complaints.

The fish and chips were great but they do have a diverse menu. Try the local London beer on tap. Cheers!

Great ambience...Excellent Staff and Fantastic Food Hashbrow...sausage...bacon and egg (range free) and a delicate bun are combined 4 a excellent breakfast Bap (sandwich for the US audience) If u got 30 mins....they can get u sorted

Am usually not one for this but truly the management of the restaurant have hired the wrong set of staff at the Heathrow Terminal 5 outlet. Ordered for Fish and Chips and it took my persistent complain to be ordered and when delivered the dish was in all honesty TASTELESS. After struggling to eat it. We decided to pay and they only attended to us when we stood to leave. Definitely not a place for people of color and food a disaster.

We enjoyed a stop off here on our travels abroad. It was a pleasant change from the chain normality. Nice friendly staff, good sservice, the food was good, of course you pay a premium for eating in an airport but it was not too bad. Highly recommended.

Had a veggie breakfast and it was very tasty. The service was very quick and the restaurant has a better atmosphere, compared to Giraffe.

De bediening was vriendelijk en vlot. De full English breakfast was niet super warm. Het worstje was denk ik ontploft in de magnetron en was zelfs in deze staat amper door te snijden. De rare messen hielpen niet. Maar goed, de rest was redelijk voor een vliegveldrestaurant en ook de koffie was te doen.

The sticky toffee pudding was really good. Service was acceptable but we thought it was a good snack and were happy we stopped for dessert.

The restaurant was good for a quick stop for some British comfort food (fish and chips, some appetizer). Our expectations are generally low for Airport food. It was nothing great, but good with quick service. Servers were attentive - something we could not say was the case with another restaurant at Heathrow.

We called in at the Huxleys at Heathrow Terminal 5 to have breakfast on our way to a flight to Copenhagen. We had to flag down a member of staff to order since we were, apparently, otherwise invisible. When our orders - ‘bacon hash ‘ - arrived they were barely tepid, the vegetables only partially cooked and almost devoid of flavour; weak, equally tepid coffee arrived as we were finishing the meal. As usual , despite our specifying no milk, it was included - Huxleys is not unique among eateries in wasting milk in this way. But we found the food unusually mediocre. Judging from overheard comments by other customers we were not alone in our assessment.

We called in for breakfast before our flight. The restaurant was fairly busy which we took as a sign of popularity. Instead it was a sign that many of us were waiting a long time first for our order to be taken, then for the lukewarm and undercooked bacon and hash breakfast and even longer (following two asking) for our coffee to arrive. My first and last visit to this chain.

Interesting visit! The "manager" or I assume he was, went behind the bar to pour a beer for a customer and then went and plonked it on the table for the customer without speaking to him at all. He did nothing about the pile up of dirty glasses on the bar counter, and strutted around full of his own self importance! Not a good example to his staff!

Coming rather early for lunch, the waiter went an extra mile to get me fish and chips, and he and another waiter were very service-minded. The fish was not the very best I ever had, but the nice and large glass picpoul went well with it. Very pleasant in all and I could go again.

Called between flights. Service fantastic and a great ceaser salad. Price reasonable. There were some pligs by seats to charge your phone

W were given an allergy menu for my husband who is dairy intolerant then when we tried to order off it were told it wasn’t possible. Apparently they can’t even guarantee chips are dairy free. Ended up being served a dry plain tough piece of chicken and sprouting new potatoes. Don’t just don’t go there if you have any special dietary needs, poor service, poor quality and rip off prics

I was at LHR for a short layover and wanted to have a quick meal. I ended up in a short line outside Huxley's about 45 minutes before my flight's gate was due to be shown, and figured I would be able to get seated and eat my meal just about in time.

VERY POOR. not worth it had eggs benedict with salmon it looked very thin and previously cooked one piece did not even cover a quarter of the muffin which was dry. There was literally one slither of salmon on them. I would not recommend this place.

For a restaurant in the airport, this one is better than most. I had fish & chips 14.95 pounds and my husband had chicken burger 12.95. Beers are good too. We eat here if we ever have a layover in Heathrow. Service is usually quick too.

We had a bit of time to wait for our flight so visited Huxley. Order two all day breakfast which were reasonable. Also had tea and soft drinks.

I came here for lunch at terminal 5 before travelling home. Decided to eat here to save cooking when I got home. I had the fish pie and was delighted with how delicious it was. It was served with green beans in a separate dish and the whole meal was piping hot. This was a really busy restaurant due to the location but the staff were excellent and coped very well.

Menù vario anche x colazione oltre a insalate e hamburger e menu bambino. Anche possibilità senza glutine. Carta birre e vino ampia x il tipo di locale. Mediocre la qualità del cibo ma bene così in aeroporto e a costo medio basso nn si può pretendere di più

Really nice food and waiter saved us some cash as the kids meals were free if we had extra hash browns. Best of both worlds before an early flight.

I had the steak sandwich which came after about a ten minute wait. It was OK, not delicious. The bread was nicely fresh.

I had a half and 20 minutes at Heathrow so I decided to eat here. I expected a quick 15 minutes meal but it took 30 minutes. This had a knock on effect on me catching my connecting flight. In summary this £16 meals almost cost me another flight ticket to Japan.

My wife and I stopped here for a drink and dinner before our onward flight. The dinner was very good as was the service.

Any restaurant that serves London Pride - at the right temperature - has my vote! Huxleys is always crowded, but I have never waited more than five minutes (four visits) to be seated. Due to its location and popularity, it is not wise to eat here if you are in a hurry to board a flight. It is a friendly place with a real desire to please, and the menu is suitable for all tastes. Good service with a smile.

Had lunch with my husband whilst waiting for our flight. He had the sausage and mash and I the macaroni followed by sticky toffee pudding, which was sticky. We both enjoyed our lunch. The service was fast and efficient. The young waitress from Poland was very attentive. Would recommend a bite to eat there and would eat there again. Also the price was reasonable for being airside of an airport.

Went before holiday, not at a busy time, food arrived startling quickly and was ok if a little pricey. We went for the kids eat free offer and sure enough they do but if you don't want to be ripped off then don't get the kids a dessert or drink to go with their meal, two small bowls of ice cream £6 and £3 for 2 small cups of squash. Thoroughly disappointing but staff have obviously heard it before as their response is well practiced and they refer you to the smallest of small print on the sign which even then doesn't make the rip off obvious.

My daughter and I went to Huxleys at around 1pm on a very busy airport day, there were waiting times at giraffe and wagamamas so huxleys was the choice

We came in and had not such a great experience. But after a short phone call to Martin the manager, everything was rectified. We were offered to come back and have a new experience, as we were here for a few hours, we decided it was only fair to let them redeem themselves.

We sat down for 20 minutes before a waiter even acknowledged us. Following this we had to wait 15 minutes to order our next round of drinks. To top it off a table with a boy around 9 years old was behind us with his hand politely in the air and every employee walked passed him ignoring him. Would not recommend.

Hambúrguer muito saboroso, Guinness geladinha e atendimento ótimo. O ambiente é bem descontraído e com cara de pub. Amei!

Maria, our waiter was so nice and attentive. Just before flights it can be a bit rush rush. Like the fish and chips with beer batter and the London Pride beer. A good choice of food just before our way back home. This dish is of British culinary heritage it’s always nice to eat.

I was at the restaurant 15 July 2019 about 5pm. It took 25 minutes before someone took my order, while others who arrived after my got served. I ordered the fish'n'chips. "Crushed minted peas" was just ordinary overcooked whole peas. The didn't taste that good, old frying oil?

Only had 30 mins before boarding but staff were wonderful and served us a very good meal. Fish pie & ham & eggs, cider & Guinness. Standard of food was good & we shall revisit on our return.

Had breakfast here prior to our flight departure. We were seated promptly and had our drinks order taken. Waiter came back soon to take our food order. However, there were no pancakes available which he apologised for but we should have been told this when we arrived.

Just bellied up to the bar before a flight to have a pint and bag of crisps. A very British Bar and a great way to Cheerio to just a fine time in London. Nice airport bar and good friendly efficient service.

The breakfast was nothing special, just OK, and the price was inflated because they're in T5. The worst thing was the volume of the music they were playing, at 06:00! It was so loud we couldn't hear what our server was saying

We came to Huxley's while a 2 hour wait for our flight as we were having a drink and enjoying the great food we realised that we had forgotten to print a very important visa document. Thank goodness got Vilma! She very very sweetly helped us out and printed the needed document! Other than the incredibly friendly staff this place has lovely drinks and great food! I'd recommend the raspberry mojito. Once again thank you so much ,Vilma, your a life saver

Full English breakfast, cold rubbery fried eggs, cold mushrooms, cold congealed bacon, at least the tea was ok. Should have gone to Boots for sandwich.

The food is good - yes it is mostly fastfood, but quick and good, the service is very good and it is a clean place. Prices are fair, so what more ddo you need?

Pre flight breakfast. Very friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. My eggs were perfect and my husband said his breakfast was really good. We would definitely eat here again when flying out.

It was nice to return to this location at the Airport after a break of some 4 visits to the terminal. The breakfast choice was very good and although the wait for service was longer than I like, they were very busy, we were eventually served by a pleasant young man. The order was taken efficiently and the wait for drink was short and the meal was quite quick too. Everything was served to order and was very well cooked and presented. The bill was presented promptly.

Huge choice at Heathrow, not tried this one before. Smiley lady at entrance who showed us our seat...I felt badgered to choose when I’d only been seated a couple of minutes...wasn’t even that busy!

Perfect for a quick meal whilst waiting for a flight. Slick service, uncomplicated menu, pleasant food and reasonably priced. One less bit of hassle. Job done. Satisfied customer.

The staff were nice and the food was OK however it is not too much to expect scrambled eggs and salmon on toast to be served on 'toast'. We were given just bread which of course went soggy. No time to complain as we had a flight to catch - not impressed and not cheap.

This was our breakfast stop. During our layover we chose a big English breakfast and a Fish and chip. The portions are certainly impressive. The fish was fresh, very meaty and the breading was thick yet not greasy. It's a good beer batter dipped and fried served hot. And yes, not like anything stateside. The breakfast had every some impressive size bangers, and a good portion of ham. The potato cakes were really good too. But food was otherwise ok. Pretty much all of it was rather bland for my tastes. It could have used some seasoning in many areas. Service was quick to begin with. But a server switch at meal delivery slowed things down. Everything slowed down at that point and caused us to have to dash to meet our departure schedule. Service otherwise good. Chose this one because the menu had more options vs. other airport options and prices were a marginally better in spots.

I walked by this place because it looks nice from outside and ordered a beer and Huxle Burger.

Amazing place great food, the bar tender Neckly was so nice I ended up staying a lot longer than I thought I would. Our host Narison was so funny kept me entertained for a quite a while. If you are in terminal 4 and are thinking of having a bite or drink head to Huxley's you won't be disappointed. Thank you Narison and Neckly hope to see you again.

Flying out to Chile in the late evening, we went into Huxley's for a meal. This was our first visit to Huxley's and we were very pleased. There was a good choice on the menu and my wife, who is Gluten Free, was able to have a meal. The staff were very friendly and the service was efficient.

Fish and chip is still one of my favorite dish in London ,Hurley’s provides a nice farewell snack on my way back to USA .The place is popular ( right after you get through security ) , there is a wait line . I got in quickly as I was solo. The waiter got my order and the sizable piece of perfectly fried fish and French friy arrived in 10 min. The tartar sauce is superb. A happy meal before boarding for my trip home
