Hungry Shack Wallsend in North Tyneside

My go-to place for fried chicken and chips. The SFC chicken burger or boxes are nice, crispy coating and flavourful meat. It just hits the spot when I’m craving fried chicken and it’s reliably good. The chicken kebab is lovely too.

10/10 as always. Tenders had a good size, crispy and crunchy on outside!

Didn’t receive my bottle of pop, food was not hot , driver said he was going to bring the pop later on but didn’t

My son cannot get enough it's all he wants to eat and he is very fussy eater just glad we can order again as wanted to last week but they weren't taking online orders. Wings need more spice

Food is normally great from this place however this time ordering portions were small! I didn’t get my moneys worth like we usually do. It came 30 mins early which was annoying. I do not recommend the loaded fries!

We’ve been using hungry shack since they moved to Wallsend, great to start with but the portions have grown steadily smaller over time. Tonights mixed chicken kebab was 10 small cubes of marinaded overcooked and very dry chicken, a few strips of cheap doner meat, a handful of lettuce leaves, a slice of tomato and half a handful of pickled cabbage and 3 slices espresso jalapeño. Absolutely disgraceful for over £12 each. Never again. Save your money and go elsewhere.

No pop with our order and still waiting for it an hour later. Very bad service. You made the mistake it should not be down to us to wait over an hour for it to be rectified. Such a shame as the food itself was actually nice.

Food was greasy and felt the chips had been recooked and some seasoning put on to disguise that they were really old

order a mighty grill with chips and garlic but came with salad and chilli

Food was beautiful but there was a full meal missing from it and when I’ve requested a refund no one got back to me and I didn’t receive it

Had hot wings from here before and they were lovely but this time had no flavour or even a hint of spice but did come piping hot, unlike the mini fillet burger which were cold.Milkshake didn’t taste like what I ordered but hard to say for sure

food was lovely as always but paid extra for things on pizza and yet again was missed off. this is the second time it's been paid and not received it so think restaurant needs to start reading orders more

Quite possibly the worst food I’ve had from a takeaway. Onion rings were like rubber, chips looked they had been cooked the previous day and reheated and delivery time was shocking. Food arrived after the estimated time which was far too long to begin with (75 mins). Seriously disappointed and won’t be ordering again.

Food is always lovely from here, chicken kebab is always great, however only order if you're picking up. Second time in a row I've had a really long wait, this time 2hours and forgot my pop, I'd waited so long I couldn't be bothered to call and ask for them to bring it Hate to say it but this is the last time we're ordering.

order was late so in total we waited 2 hours for our food. we last had food from here 3 months ago. they have changed the fries to skin on fries and there was only half the amount of chicken on the chicken tikka kebab. very disappointed as this is usually our favourite takeaway

These guys only recieved 1 star because i couldnt choose a negative number, shocking delivery waits, 2 hrs + over said times, horrendous customer service and i actually now believe if my dood actually turned up i may not have made it through the night, lucky escape to some however a wasted friday night dor me and my family who were left starved as it was too late to re oreder again from a better cuisine, nothing but jokers with chefs hats on, steer well clear guys, as the saying goes you cant educate pork!!!!

the fries were skin on fries that were not stated on the menu!! The pop with the meal deal never came

We normally use hungry shack regularly but will be thinking twice next time. Received our delivery to find that 2 items had been missed, contacted the restaurant to be told they would get straight on to it. Rang back 30min later to be told the items would be ten minutes, rang back 30min after this to be told they were very busy but honestly would be 10 minutes needless to say still waiting! Extremely disappointed they are too busy on a Friday night to get the order right or resolve the issue.

chips were cold and soggy, chicken was barley warm all rotten went in bin this place used to be nice, went down hill

order kebab with chilli but came with garlic and order dr pepper zone but came with normal dr pepper

We ordered a boneless box & it was absolutely amazing, we had chicken strips gravy corn on the cob chips & I ordered extra chicken wings, definitely be going back in future. 5 star service & food.

our food was delivered late and stone cold i tried ringing shop but no answer the box my chicken was in fell apart as the carrier bag was soaking off condensation absolute disgrace considering we order from them alot

Usually from here the food is good.. delivery time was awful and kept getting changed… took way too long and tried to cancel the order because the time changed 3 times! Order was cancelled and when the food was delivered it was just warm… and only refunded £3 for the late delivery. Very disappointing after all the wait…

i get that its christmas buti ordered at 9pm 2 hours late ringing multiple times i even went to store and when i got there at about 1040 hed literally just left shop and at 2315 is when i recieved my order

Pizzas were out of this world. Lovely base and generous toppings, arrived piping hot. Had a portion of kebab meat which was very tasty and fresh. Fries were great and garlic sauce was lush. Absolutely recommend!

Food took 2 hours to arrive, rang to chase up order after being told it would be 20 minutes and they ignored all phone calls. Food was lovely but delivery time was terrible, it would have been fine if communicated how long the order would actually be instead of making times up. Delivery driver was lovely and apologised no fault of his and food was great.

Ordered on their website. Waited over an hour and a half. Food never came but got an email to say completed. No message or call after order processing.

The food was good but I ordered two mighty mixed grills and there was no lamb on either of them. When I ordered last time there was lamb. I will try them again, but if they miss my lamb off again it will be the last time.

Food has not arrived at all so not sure how take way could of been delivered without confirming the code

Tandoori chicken wrap with salad is absolutely amazing. Chicken and salad very fresh and well prepared.

We ordered our food at 6.20 pm Missing corn on the cob, rang them at 8.15pm, they said they would send the corn , its now 10.40pm and the corns still not here, the person the corn was for is now in bed, its a real shame because the food was lovely

The chips were very greasy and tastes reheated, the chicken we reveived was the wrong flavour coating and just all round not nice. Weve used hungry shack for a long time but it has gone downhill a lot and we won't be using them again

Used to order from these all the time and had no problem but last few times my order never arrived and you can't get through to them on phone would not reccomend

order never turned up. order placed at 06:15pm. Now almost 9pm and not turned up. had to go elsewhere. no contact from takeaway. I've used you guys for years but won't anymore after this.

The food was okay and I didn’t have a problem with it tho the chicken was soft on the inside it wasn’t even white meat it was just watery texture which made me feel sick and they charged me a extra 1 pound when I readed what I was ordering and added the price which was 2.50 and they charged me 3.80 the knobs don’t go here they scam you

Food quality was nowhere near as good as the late lamented Hungry Shack Benton - and the menu was more restricted as well. Burgers don't come with Burger Sauce but BBQ, and they didn't include a drink with the meal (or offer the choice of one)

shocking service order was missing items then I was told I would need to wait an hour for the missing items. I then called back as it still hadn't arrived to be told I wasn't getting it they were busy and I never paid the full price anyway (I had discount from collecting the just eat stamps). then he was arguing with me wanting to know when I was "angry" which did make me angry. food was not nice what we received bring back hungry shack benton
