Staff are the most unfriendly people, orders are always wrong

The state of the D/A was disgusting. The poor lad that works on the D/A was running around like a headless chicken doing the tills because the management was standing around chatting and to top it off they was pee all over the floor in the lads toilet’s. This McDonald’s has gone down hill for cleanliness.

A vest majority of the time they get the order wrong! Check your order before you leave if its a drive through!

Couldn’t find 2 brain cells in the place if you tried, once in a blue moon will they get your order correct

I did a job interview here a while back where the manager refused to do it because I looked like someone he recently kicked out the shop the guy just kept on accusing me of being somebody I wasn't and eventually kicked me out the shop all together he was tall a bit chubby and bald the worst interview experience I have ever had and a complete waste of my time, effort and money

It can be good but they regularly get the wrong drinks and give you single burgers when you order a double

Maccydees so you know what you get. Prices are getting too high for a contractors brekky though so won't be going back.

20 minutes for 4 mini McFlurries is a bit ridiculous

It’s staggering that a place can be so consistently poor. I’ve ordered from here a few times when gosforth isn’t delivering and I have never had an order arrive without issue. My most recent order, I swear the burgers could have been ran over they were that poorly made. Consistent missing items on orders, fries that have been cooked in what I can only assume is 10 year old oil, full of carbon. Fries that have been smashed to bits before frying. I’ve had tiny portions of fries, half filled drinks. Honestly it must be some kind of achievement for somewhere to be so bad at what they do. I worked for McDonald’s for 6 years and I think my store manager would have sacked me on the spot if I’d have been this awful. And since when does a double cheeseburger come with 6 pickles? Bro. Clean this place up.

I've never known a fast food place to be so consistent when it comes to missing items from the delivery order. I actually stopped using this McDonald's a while ago for this very reason and instead opted for the Moor Farm one when ordering to home. Earlier; I thought I'd try the Killingworth one for a change. Ordered a chicken combo which is supposed to have 20 nuggets and 10 chicken selects, but lo and behold; a box of chicken selects (5) was missing upon arrival. I don't blame the driver because the packaging was still sealed and intact, so the cause must be the restaurant itself. I wouldn't mind if it was the odd occasion but it seems to be every. single. time. The food is otherwise decent but I'd recommend using a different venue if you don't want to be cheated.

We are constantly disappointed by this McDonald’s not having Mcflurries.It happened alot last year and again this year.We were told it was too hot and the machine didn’t work properly in the heat.Is that not when most people want ice cream and we’ve just returned from holiday where it was a lot hotter and had no problems getting an ice cream!

Don't bother, go down the road to the silverlink. Your order will be wrong and the food will be cold, oh and you'll end up waiting 30 minutes for it.

Went today for meals for my grandchildren and the order was short of chips. Trying to explain this to a 3 year old isn’t good.

4 times now we've been for breakfast through the drive through. 1 time got the wrong order, 3 other time didn't get any hash browns (ordered 4 breakfast meals). I understand problems happen but virtually every time we go this location the order is incorrect

The lady was very kind and helpful she got us a bag and asked if we were ok she was so helpful to us

So, I pre-ordered on the app. I got a triple cheese burger and a drink. Arrived at the drive thru and made my way to the window to be greeted by a miserable young girl, only to be asked to wait in a bay in which they were both full, I then did a full lap around and the girl who looked so disgruntled and didn’t even look at me or talk to me when I said they were both full. Will never be back, Cheers! Seriously need to sort out the application process for McDonalds.

What a lovely McDonald's. Ordered on a self service machine and food was at our table in no time. What made it even better as we won a mcfluury with the winning sips. A special mention to the host (did not catch his name we were in between 1-2pm on the 30.03.24 he could have not done more to help..and is credit to your business.

Hands down the worst mcdonalds in Newcastle. Unfortunately for me it's the only one near by so I've been pletny of times and don't think they've ever got my order right. It's run by teenagers who are more bothered about having a laugh than your food. The burgers especially are revolting and look like they've been stood on.

Delighted at the customer service on the drive through last night

If you want most of your order missing just about every time you get a delivery, then this is the place to come, Then when you ring and tell them you are told there is nothing they can do

Hospitality staff are lovely. However, your order turns up wrong 80-90% of the time. Have to double check every time you get your food as there's seems to be things missing most of the time. Even the main parts like the big tasty burger when they supply the drink and fries!

Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and work hard, especially James who keeps the place ship-shape, inside & outside. He is a credit to McDs!

Ordered a meal for my family to take out. Took 20 minutes for order to put together. Brought it home and my usual hamburger was half coated in the peppercorns. Being allergic to black pepper I am so careful what I order. Sadly 2 bites in I taste the pepper and have to take 2 antihistamines to counteract the reaction! Cross contamination incident warranted a sorry from the manager and offer to drive all the way back to restaurant for a replacement £1.19 hamburger. Absolutely disgusted I could of ended up in hospital!!

Went through drivethrough told to wait in main car Park. 15 mins went by still no food. Asked girl who took food to car next to me who had only waited 5 mins and she didn't know. 5 more mins and asked lad who said wasn't sure. Ask for refund which got and excuse was trouble with fries and cooking . I said you shouldn't take orders if are having trouble meeting demand. Not be using g killingworth Mcdonald as not first they have had trouble getting orders right.

The security guard shouted at innocent child who needed to get food for her grandparents. Pushing and shoving a group of little year 7s out the door and has no reason why and told a “little girl to choke on an ice cream and die”

This particular franchise is a disgrace and has been so for many years. Staff are great I must add firstly. I feel for them tbh. The owner is obviously very frugal, the ice cream maker is broken 9/10, usually you get half portions of said ice cream anyway, then the drinks also an issue this week. Could they be short staffed, as the drive through etc takes an age to move? This restaurant has been tan in a bad way by the owner for over a decade. Monopoly icing on the cake, apparently not ordered more food carriers with stickers on and it doesn’t end until the 17th October. What a con.

Overall this McDonalds has issues most weeks that I use it. Varying from app not showing foods as available (I have taken to driving through and asking staff now and sometimes it is), to never having ice creams available most times. When we asked the staff (whom I feel bad for btw) to explain the issue they told us “it’s the older equipment that doesn’t work properly and can’t be used due to it not cleaning properly during the night etc. therefore they can’t use it. Think the owner Mr B Liddy needs to spend some money on the restaurant, it is a very busy franchise after all. UPDATE: Still no change in the lack of soft drinks and ice creams, broke daily/weekly. The owner quite obviously makes that much money he doesn’t care about the lack of menu on offer to customers. Greed! I just honestly feel bad for the frontline staff who are always pleasant.

Returned after a couple of bad experiences here as I was in the area and the breakfast was spot on. Food was hot, order was correct and staff were great 👍🏻

This place is so bad, food has been awful in the past, against my better judgment as I was passing, I went tonight through drive through. Asked to wait in a bay. 15 minutes later went in to enquire about food, waited 5 minutes to be even spoken to, one of the overworked workers then snapped at me that she didn’t know how long it would be, spoke to a manager eventually who said well it can take some time, 25 minutes! Really?? Through a drive through. That is not quick service, nor is it acceptable. Got a refund. Never again! Will go to a one a couple of miles away which is far better food and service.

This place is a hell of screaming machines, overworked employees and fouled up orders. They clearly don't hire enough staff, the frying machines are CONSTANTLY screaming so loud that it's basically torture conditions just waiting for your order and what it must be like for those poor souls working there I can only imagine and pity them. It's still a bit much when your order arrives with missing items or cold coffee. Multiple visits have yielded the same miserable experience. One time I was stood there holding my ears for ten minutes seeing numbers five or ten past my own getting served, and when I asked they finally handed me the bag with my order, cold and forgotten. Do not recommend. Requires new management and better sound management practises. Is it seriously legal to run a business like this?

Absolutely useless 4 things missing out of three meals can't get through to them on the phone to ask where thi missing g food is so with out driving all the way back no way of being refunded

Never had a decent meal from this store, probs ever. Ordered just eat tonight, said it would be 10 mins... then 12 mkns... then out back to 14 mins. Food came cold, pop flat... fries weren't even cooked so had to out them in the air fryer.... absolutely disgusting... I'll be in tomorrow for a full refund

Killingworth Mcdonalds worst ever, ordered food for delivery, paid items not supplied then when phoning up asked to go for it, it was delivered for a reason or else i would have drove there for it, wouldnt deliver a replacement, told to go on line and get payment back, then when on line saying we had to contact uber eats. disgusting attitiude and staff are next to useless

Rubbish fries, soft and slimy. I ordered a delivery was missing drinks and McFlurrys for the second time!! It’s not hard check the order. Tried to call. McDonald’s didn’t care told me to call Uber. The driver just shouted at me! So rude.

It is not good. One hour before the work is finished, they are cleaning. Their hands are cleaning and they are working. It is not good. The manager does not take care of this.

It took the member of staff six attempts to get two simple meals ordered. The meals came but not the milkshakes. Ten minutes later still no sign, the meals going cold, no reasons given when the drinks turned up. I asked if I could have one sweet chilli sauce and was told no as I had only asked for one. We had to microwave the meals so we could eat them. NeverAgain!!!!!!!!

Every delivery order for 6 months or more (we have one a week) has had items missing. One family member has had to eat alone after a reorder. What's going one. Delivery from 2 restaurants killingworth or annitsford. Bad service

Would give no stars if could watching staff spraying trays after customer use cleaned 3 tables with same kitchen roll place looked very unclean cleaning items left on tables so kids can get this place is shocking should be shut down and staff trained how to clean will not be going back would have put photos on but children around

The floor is so covered in greases. You slide all over. Wipe your feet on the way out. Order screens & Tables were dirty and sticky. You couldn't get near the 1 manned till or collection bar for all the delivery people waiting for orders. The staff were lovely. Food was usual mcdonalds standard.

Manager was loud and rude to the staff, you could tell it wasn't a nice environment to work in. The guy on the front desk was lovely and cannot be faulted but the managers attitude really needs checked. Went back a second time to give it a go through the drive through, service was quick but out of 9 nuggets that I ordered I got 5 lukewarm ones. If you want fast food go to the KFC next door.

The 5 star is due to your member of staff James. After my 4 year old son had a meltdown he went over and above to make him happy. He also never stopped cleaning and running around. Really nice to see good customer service still exists. Thank you James

I stop by McDonals every Friday. Half of the time they get my order wrong. It just happened 2 weeks in row. And the service is not fast either. Between the queue, ordering l, paying and the waiting 15 min for the order, it takes on average 30 mim to eat.

This McDonalds seems to think it is standard practice to park people to fix their response numbers than to actually provide a fast service. Regularly over half of their car park are people waiting for their ‘drive through’ order. With people often overflowing into disabled bays. Their process really needs looked at.

McDonald's is McDonald's, cheap cheerful fast food that tastes good. I recommend the Mcflurrys and the apple pies are also pretty good. I do also think the milkshakes are good. I had a McCrispy today which seemed a little over cooked as what a bit dry. I think the legend meals are better.

It’s a McDonalds so I don’t expect much, sadly the ‘fast-food’ concept has gone. Strangely have to wait 5-20 minutes for an order, which I think is due to the large amount of home delivery orders being taken. They also routinely make the worst watery hot chocolates. I should probably stop ordering it!

Every time I go to order from uber eats they have no milk shakes or ice cream at Killingworth. What's going on. I heard its a pain to clean the ice cream maker so they switch it off early, is this true?

Visited this restaurant for an early lunch today and the food was lovely. The manager couldn’t do enough for us collecting together condiments and milk/sugar etc. He even offered to clear away for us afterwards. We will definitely use this restaurant again in the future.

One of the better McDonalds I've been to. Regularly cleaned and tidied with helpful staff. Food appears to be fresh and amazingly the milkshake machine is usually working!

One off worst Mcdonald ever seen i order my food for eat in i bought fish burger meal with the white coffee in side the store coffee was very cold return for replacement comes back to eat my burger was fully cold gone back again to see the store manager or we make u an other one second burger freshly made was rock hard i called the manager again made the complaint to him then he said or i made this burger my self fresh and he said i have 15 years of experience what he did again a cold fish felt burger re heat and gave to me that burger comes like cake rask that Asian manager is fully trained to sell( cold and old food) waist my 40 minutes in the store for nothing this guy waist my 40 minutes not recommending this Mcdonald ever very very bad food quality and management 😡

People working there are nice and polite, there are always plenty of crayons and colouring paper around, there is a cheerful and helpful man there who always gets inside and brings balloons to the children and makes sure everyone is happy.

I do love a Maccy D's. Called here after the NUFC match. Despite the quantity of orders going through the staff knock out the orders pretty quick. Double cheese burgers and large fries - which are usually hot due to the turnover.

By far the worst around now, need to leave the area for a good McDonald's now

Killingworth McDonald's......what can I say. Its pretty grubby looking inside, the seats outside aren't great...bit too high for us short people. The food...is well...its McDonald's so you know what you're gonna get....unless you go to the Killingworth McDonalds. Then you might get what you ordered but you most likely won't. Always check your order at this place.

I visited this McDonald's a few days ago and a lad named Angus was on the window. He was very helpful and friendly which is very important to me as a mother of two little ones that has had bad experiences with Drive-Thrus before as servers can sometimes be less than accommodating with young children in the car. I will definitely be visiting this McDonald's again!

They kicked me and my mate out for no reason

If I could leave no stars it still wouldn't accurately rate how disappointing the customer service Is at this particular restaurant. I cannot count how many times I've got home to realise there was food missing from our orders. The waiting time is terrible. I've waited 35 mins at an off peak time on several occasions with no apology from staff about our wait. Complaining is useless as nobody ever offers a refund or a replacement meal when it's cold.

Absolutely terrible. Ordered via the app. Missing parts of the order. Was told they can't send the food out. 7 to 10 days for refund. So we Ordered again, surely they will get it right this time! Wrong again, Missing food! After 1 hour wait, food that arrived was stone cold as well. Seriously need to take a look at this issue, this isn't the first time and won't be the last time they get it wrong

Standard McDonald's drive through, however normally isn't too busy. Couldn't comment on quality off food but the coffee is always good
