Had an excellent served by friendly helpful staff. Ben was particularly helpful in sorting out a minor problem with the food and was very obliging. Caz behind the bar was also very pleasant and helpful. We will certainly go there again.

We attended as a family on 7th August and we were very disappointed. Firstly we all ordered and one of the meal were lasagne and I was asked to add Garlic Ciabatta for an extra £1.50. I agreed and for the price I received 2 small pieces, not even a quarter of, it was an 8th of a full ciabatta, to which I thought the price was too much for the amount I received. An other meal was scampi to which it was mushy. Anyway, to the desserts, we ordered 4, only 3 arrived and we had to go an ask for the 4th dessert, to which the rest of us had eaten by the time it had arrived! Worst experience ever and we're regulars for food.

Lovely food and great portion sizes, lovely staff and love the little extras available like the knitting and the charity books. A lovely lunch and would definitely go back and recommend.

5 of us in total all different meals ordered came out piping hot with a reasonable time considering it was a busy day staff all lovely would recommend and return again fantastic.

Terrible x 6 adults family meal. We ate in 3 settings over 40 minutes! And had to ask where the last 3 were !! Very poor service. The food was actually very nice however we went out as a family to eat and unfortunately we sat waiting or eating ! Service chaotic to say the least.

First time in this pub and most certainly be my last, the food was cold, so replaced it, which when it came it was dry and corners burnt, leaving my partner to eat on his own, the staff was lovely however couldn’t do enough for us, by giving us completely ice cream however minus the cookie dough as that was no where to be seen. Just bland food.

Came with all the family so 14 of us, the staff were brill accommodating us at short notice. The atmosphere was very friendly and comforting. We went on a Friday when burgers were but one get one free so safe to say we took advantage of this deal ☺️ the food came out all together on time and tasted delicious. Went in on a Thursday night after a busy day at work for a drink and a bite to eat. I had a chicken and bacon baguette it was beautifull. Staff were friendly and there was a quiz on. So i stayed and it was the best night fun quiz, rock and roll bingo and normal bingo as well will be returning next thursday.

Good little boozer, good food and service. Fridays are a good day, to call for food as its buy one get one free burgers no brainer!

Went out for a birthday meal and the food was very poor very very unorganised staff didn't know what they are doing ended up with more meals than there was people extreme long wait times for food and desert been waiting half an hour for a slice of fudge cake the waiting staff gave the food to the children and it had only just came out very unhappy with the experience

Visited with my husband this afternoon. I choose the supersize beef Sunday lunch and hubby ordered the sizzler with breaded chicken, sweet potato fries and onion rings. The sizzler was just warm defo not sizzling and the onion rings and fries were limp. My Sunday lunch arrived with a couple of pieces of hard fatty beef which I couldn't cut with a knife, it was missing carrots, stuffing and green beans, so all was left was yorkshire pudding, 4 roast potatoes the size of a thimble, lumpy mash and hard peas. I didn't complain at the time as I felt sorry for the waitress who was rushed off her feet and very polite. The place is pleasant and the staff were lovely, but I will not go back because the food was terrible!

Ordered sea bass and tandoori chicken strips, what a complete waste of money, more like kids portions, chicken ( what bit there was) like eating boot leather, don’t know where the strips were. Very disappointing.

Usually great. First time coming here since change of menu. Came as a family of 3. I ordered the Korean bbq chicken burger, my partner ordered the jerk chicken . Korean bbq chicken- Meant to come with salt & pepper chips but came with normal fries. The coleslaw and garnish was missing. The burger bun was black round the edges. The chicken burger was very over cooked. Jerk chicken The coleslaw and garnish was missing. The rice was very dry. The actual jerk sauce on the chicken looked more like powder and did not taste anything like jerk sauce. It was like eating aniseed. I was made aware it was a new chef but even as a new chef the food shouldn’t be this bad. It was not edible, we left the majority of our food. We won’t be returning.

20 of us arrived as the kitchen was just closing, the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! Not only did they allow us all to order, they opened a seating area so we could all sit together! Menu choices were great and the food was lovely!!!!

Ordered Sunday dinner roast potatoes could not be snapped never mind eaten and when second batch came they were just as bad! Tried the mash and that was covered in a plastic layer where it had clearly been reheated more than once..changed the meal altogether and even the steak wasn't good but I was so hungry!! This evening was a terrible. Myself, my wife and my sister in law came out for a family meal. Which was to be the last for a long while and was supposed to be a celebration. We had intended to come and have all 3 courses and drinks at the pub. On our arrival we ordered using the app. We noticed that the cleanliness of the pub was not up to scratch but figured it's later in the day so we won't worry to much. We ordered what we wanted initially on the app. Straight away we got the attention of Jonathan who we have since learnt is an assistant manager. We asked Jonathan if we could please request that our sharer comes out with the mains. He agreed. After a short while the sharer came out alone and with items missing!. We then proceeded to ask staff members to correct the missing items and please get the mains. In total 40 minutes passed and 4 members of staff was asked. Each member off staff said it was just about to arrive. After watching several meals leave the kitchen and going to other customers since we was told ours was next,we decided enough was enough. We then requested a refund and to speak to the manager. The manager then walked past us into the kitchen without coming to us and within moments our food appeared with a young server. We declined and again asked for the manager and a refund. Minutes later another member of staff came out asking us to go to the bar and started to attempt a refund. Still not the manager we had asked for. My sister proceeded to request the manager and we got told he didn't have the time to come to us. We have been told we will receive a refund however our evening is completely ruined and we are all left upset and hungry. A massive let down and terrible example of management. What's worse is that at the bar the server told us that our food had been sat at the pass for 15 minutes!!.

Fabulous place the food was 110% amazing came out really fast and was delicious first time we've been in we went in after reading all the brilliant reviews on here and we are adding our own name drop time Jonathan is one in a million the service we received from him was top class thank you for all your help even with the tesco vouchers would highly recommend will definitely be returning thank you again

First time I've visited since the start of the pandemic. We ordered starters which came fairly quickly but with no cutlery. Nobody came and checked to see if everything was ok . But apart from that the overall experience wasn't that bad . In a world of social distancing the staff all wore masks and did there best to keep everyone safe. Ordering via the app is a good idea especially for drinks but this should be optional not mandatory. I imagine that the older generation would struggle with this.

My first visit was just before the lock down I took my mum and dad out who have been very nervous about going anywhere with the whole situation with covid, when we arrived we was met at the door by Jonathan who my mum and dad immediately felt at ease with which I can assure you dose not happen at all lol he was fantastic with us anything we asked him about he answered and anything we needed he made sure we got all the staff was so polite and attentive to us the food came out really fast and it was amazing all our drinks came straight away I honestly can not praise and recommend this place enough 10 out of 10 and for the fist time I can say that it was a member of staff that made our visit thank you Jonathan we will definitely be back after the lock down stay safe and we will see you soonDEFINITELY RECOMMEND WHAT A LITTLE GEM OF A PUB THANK YOU XXX

The staff here are brilliant. They do everything they can to make your visit worthwhile. Decent selection of beers and wines. Usual pub grub. We are regular visitors

Phoned up to book a table for 1pm (8 attempts, only to be told by a staff member that they are not busy so just turn up.So we turned up at 1pm, staff member asked "have you booked", NO, called earlier and was told ok to turn up as not busy. Reply from the staff member was sorry we are full??On asking why was we told booking wasn't required as quiet, the reply was " we only have part of the pub open and it is now full".If only part of the pub was open even more reason for them to have taken our booking.Walked up with a 3 year old who walked away very disappointed.Completely uncaring and unorganised.Can see exactly why they have so many poor and terrible reviews, poor uninterested staff.

cant fault this place and the staff all ways go out of there way to make you feel welcome. They go above and beyond to accomadate your needs and make everything clean and safe during these times. well done guys xxx

We go to this pub every week to meet up with family. But what makes this pub special is all the staff , James the manager goes over and beyond to make this place a buzzing place to come he tries his best to accommodate everyone , he has a thoughtful team to assist him , heather , rob, Chloe and Rebecca to name but a few. Nothing is a problem for them. We always enjoy a night with family here and we are absolutely gutted when Boris went into a second lockdown and they had to shut again we was there when we went from a tier 1 to a tier 3. We were there on the weekend Boris announced second lockdown.If you want a warm funny atmosphere this is the place to be. They looked after my dad when we used to take him out of the nursing home 4 times a week .

Thought I would treat my partner to a meal at one of the local pubs. None of us have been out for a meal since before lock down therefore when arriving it was very overwhelming when we was asked to enter details into the app for track and trace via the Greene king app. Would have been a little helpful to have gone through this with us instead of watching if we was doing it. When seated our drinks came very quick. Took around 30 mins for my meal to come out and then another 10 minutes for my partners. By the time his came I was half way through my own. I wasn’t sure if this was due to another customer complaining about his burger not having cheese on his burger after already going back once due to it being a little pink inside. My partner ordered the burger sizzler which looked beaut and caught many heads whilst leaving the kitchen however I would recommend scrapping the chicken wings as they let the whole meal down very fatty and when biting into them you couldn’t get much chicken as it was just covered in grizzle from the chicken bone. Overall the food was lovely and we both really enjoyed it. The thing that really let the meal down was the service, the 2 ladies bringing out the meals wasn’t very friendly and clearly wasn’t aware of how to be a waitress as all the meals were coming out individually and many of them were 1 meal per table.. move onto the next. Never was I asked if you would like anything else such as sauces and no other tables were asked either after around 5 minutes of having to catch someone’s attention we got the sauce, salt and vinegar we wanted. Even though the food was okay I wouldn’t be back in a hurry.

It was a amazing meal all in place was a total pain but staff did all they could well done I hope that normality resumes again soon for us all staff doing there best

Visited the The Hungry Horse (Ring O’ Bells branch) today, as we’ve visited several Hungry Horse branches prior and have always been happy with the experience. Unfortunately this branch was a significant letdown. We were seated in front of the bar, which was not only loud, but we also had a queue of customers at the side of our table, with absolutely no regard for distancing. The service was an absolute disgrace; staff arguing in front of customers, shouting across the ‘restaurant’ and the man who I assume was a supervisor/manager announcing he couldn’t be bothered today as he’s “hungover“. We waited over half an hour for the food, which was inexcusable as it wasn’t particularly busy. The food was presented ok, however parts of the meal were cold. We also had to ask for someone to remove the plates of the table, despite several staff members walking past in the direction of the kitchen. We then waited a further 25 minutes for desert, before deciding to cancel the order and get a refund, we received no apology for this. The service in this branch is laughable. There are much better restaurants in the same vicinity - avoid at all costs!!

Brilliant customer service off Jonathon sorted us a table even though they were rushed off there feet excellent interpersonal skills very efficient friendly amd food was amazing would definitely recommend we will be back soon ty for a lonely evening XX

Service and food good quality and excellent portions. The gent on pub safe to be commended. Never stopped cleaning even the underneath of chairs and tables. Grandsons loved the food.

What can I say? Well done to all the team during these trying difficult times From being greeted at the door shown to our table drinks served & a lovely meal. Meanwhile cleaning of tables by floor staff was constant non stop relentless & can't be easy having to wear the masks. Lovely steak which was a little over cooked & ice cold San Miguel Well worth the visit in quiet clean place with nothing any trouble for the staff. Well done to all the staff team especially in these trying difficult times. Hopefully your entertainment will be allowed to start again soon meanwhile keep up the good work.

Came to Ring O’ Bells a few days ago and have got to say it was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was great and all the staff are super friendly and are always there for the customers which is great, nothing was ever too big for them. This Morning me and my mum friends and all the kids (12 of us ) came for breakfast. We were all fed and watered for less than £30 it was great value and the food was cooked fresh and was lovley. After a brief pre opening at the New Gulliver's Kingdom we decided to visit you again last Thursday. Not disappointed meals lovely could just do with a Diane sauce on steaks. Masks being worn & politely led to our seats after the check in & distancing was very well observed. It was also nice to see your DJ being kept on until he can return to his job and he was constantly cleaning checking up on people still basically doing his personality bit & we hope he can return in his usual capacity soon but nice to see you keeping him employed well done. Everyone very professional and seem to be coping well during these difficult times. Keep up the good work & we hope to return once this situation is over which we hope will be soon to have a proper night with you again especially with your DJ keeping us entertained with the video stuff instead of football Well done to the team stay positive

We called down on the reopening day, to see how things worked and were so impressed, we were greeted at the door by Danny and Heather, lovely welcoming faces, the best double act this side of Rotherham! Seated at our favourite table in the window as the staff remembered, ordered on the new app, it was so simple and staff were very clear in their instructions, Ethan was our server so polite and stuck to social distancing greatly. I loved this pub before and well doneon the job with the new measures, it must be difficult, we will certainly be back!

We couldn't wait to go back to our favourite pub as a family and support our local through one of the hardest times. Immediately put at ease with some familiar friendly faces, we were informed of the New measures and led to our table allocated. We used the app to order which is fab.... NO QUEING at the bar!!
