we visited for my best friends birthday, luke served us he was great, he said he had only been working for 3 weeks, he was great so lovely (luke sam)

Rented for a 21st party in the function suite on the bottom of the property, the toilets were revolting from the minute we stepped in , despite notifying staff nothing was done about the state of them. Our pre paid drinks package for guests was half an hour late at coming out leaving guests feeling deflated, furthermore the service to get a drink often took around 20/30 mins- for a room that advertises it holds 90 people this isn’t really acceptable! Tried to call and email several times which the business has completely ignored and not giving us our deposit back! DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE FOR A PRIVATE EVENT

Booked the Disko room for my Daughters 21st birthday party. We knew there was a function being held during the day as we had already asked if we could have access to decorate and had been told this wasn't possible. I had assumed this was due to the fact the room and toilets were being cleaned - well I assumed wrong. The toilets were disgusting, they were blocked and the seats were broken in the ladies, according to my Husband the gents weren't much better. We had paid for the mandatory drinks package which wasn't prepared for the guests arriving and we had also been advised that the deposit would be fully redeemable on the night however it wasn't. I have emailed and called with my complaint and no one has even acknowledged my concerns with no one even acknowledging my concerns. I suppose once they have your money it doesn't matter !!!!

So, if it goes above 18 degrees outside in Glasgow DO NOT GO INTO A PRIVATE KARAOKE ROOM which has no windows. They lie, there is NOT any aircon. There's barely air never mind air con. Ours and everyone else's PRIVATE room had leave doors opn to try and gasp at some kind of air. How's that 'private' when you can hear everyone else walking about outside and singing and shouting. Multiple rooms all had same issue. It was a Torture Chamber' not a nice private relaxing experience. The owners need to get a grip and understand their priorities which should be providing their customers with a nice experience in 'comfort' . Shouldn't expect people to pay premium prices for a ridiculously sub standard experience. Such a shame as their staff all are amazing. Opposite from Arnold unfortunately, "I WON'T BE BACK"!!!

Came to Hummingbird for the final part of my friends' hen day where we had one of their karaoke rooms. First time I have been to Hummingbird in nearly 10 years, and the place still looks great. Cocktails were from the downstairs bar and these were lovely, however there is a small bar tucked away on the first floor in between the karaoke rooms and the mezzanine floor if you just want spirits etc. We had a great buffet spread put on for us in our karaoke room and the food was delicious - took us a little bit to figure out how to work the karaoke machine but once we got our head around it, and a staff member came in to show us eventually, we had a great time! The only issue for us was the heat! The karaoke room was absolutely sweltering and despite the air-con being on at full blast, it done next to nothing to help, we had to eventually get a stand-up fan brought in as half the party sat outside the room to cool down. Better air-con might be a good shout in these rooms going forward. All in all, great time had by all and Hummingbird still has it after all these years! Definitely will be returning and is a solid choice if you are looking for somewhere to celebrate!

I booked Hummingbird for my friend’s Hen Do. The day was exceptional from start to finish. We had the Penthouse which was vary spacious and also a private bar. The group enjoyed brunch, cocktail making, a three course meal and karaoke. The service was excellent, as was the food. Everyone was made to feel super welcome. I previously booked the Basement for my partner’s birthday and received the same custom. I cannot recommend enough for events, a bite to eat or some drinks. Thank you again!

Great spot for a nice night out, it has a lovely atmosphere and we had some really great cocktails made by one of the staff Ben! A few surprising combinations! Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back.

I recently visited Hummingbird and was served by the lovely Rossana. She was unbelievably kind and patient! Myself and my friend really appreciated her recommendations and she made such wonderful cocktails. Rossana was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu and very sweet. She made our night! We felt so welcomed and comfortable, and the cocktails were Devine. Will definitely be returning. Thank you Hummingbird and Rossana!

Went out with some mates last month for a night out and had a great time, couldn’t recommend this place enough. Our server Ben was a lovely lad and very attentive and was super nice and personable!

I was in on Saturday night with my family for some drinks. The staff were all very friendly and the drinks were great. Special shout out to Ben who was very attentive all night.

went on the 13th for the galentines event which i spent £50 on for the tickets and when we showed up at the door they told us they're closing, but it was 10pm but was made clear everywhere that they will be open till midnight. very upset as it was my birthday too and had planned to spend it there, and all that money went to waste.

Upon arrival we were greeted at the door and sent up to the room we had hired. When we entered the room the plates were set up but the karaoke set up wasn’t on and we thought someone would be with us to help us get set up. Half an hour later we had to ask the staff twice if they could come and serve us or help set the room up as they had just walked past the room ignoring us, it just didn’t seem right us having to chase them to set the room up when we were hoping to come in and be good to go. When they did turn up, they set the karaoke up and only one of the microphones worked, in the whole building there were no more working microphones so we’d have to make do. For a group of six of us that wasn’t the best start. Once the food was served and the service and karaoke got underway we were enjoying ourselves. There’s a great selection of song choices both with backing tracks or original versions with lyrics. The room was perfect for our party of six and the food was lovely. The portion sizes were great too! Other than the terrible start we had the staff were pleasant with us in the end and made us aware when our booking was coming to an end. If I was to return I’d hope for a better start but I enjoyed my time here.

Held a party in one of Hummingbirds private rooms, was a very easy booking process, the staff were so helpful and lovely, drinks were great, Absoloutley loved it! Would highly recommend!

Went to Hummingbird for our works xmas night out. Probably the worst venue I have ever been to. Freezing cold, no xmas atmosphere, cutlery dumped down on middle of the table. salt came in a bowl! So bizarre. But the worst part was the two female staff. a bar maid who couldnt cope. she was the only one on the bar. And the female manager. Dresssed in a long black coat she was also serving meals aswell as manning the door. The bar maid got upset and ran out, and the manager approached our table very aggressively and in our faces. We then had to leave. She then smugly smiled as we went down the outside steps. Totally uncalled for, would wasted our night if it wasnt for more decent venues we found afterwards. Hummingbird your venue could be amazing..Great potential but the atmosphere, heating and your staffs behaviours seriously needs looked at. Put it this way if this girl worked for us she'd be out the door. Maybe an anger management class would help her.

Worst place I've been to. Two barstaff who had faces like wet weekends. Didn't know how to serve customers at all. Took half an hour to get a drink. As when I got to the front was totally ignored. No system what so ever. Toilets a disgrace. We had booked for 8.30 and was told we had to wait 15 minutes as the party that had our table didn't want to leave. Everyone was really drunk. Will never be back

If you’re between eighteen and thirty, love really loud music with a deep base that vibrates through your body, enjoy a party atmosphere, lots of people getting smashed and making a fool of themselves then you will be at home.

I booked a table for drinks to start off our works night out and wish I hadn't! We were welcomed at the door (lovely decor at the front) and shown to our table which is where to good service ended. I ordered some drinks at the bar but we couldn't have 2 different cocktails because they had ran out of ingredients. This was at 15:00 on a Friday. The girl said she would check upstairs but never did, just asked what else we wanted. The bar was covered in spillage, I don't mean the usual few drops, it was covered and was exactly the same about an hour later. The place was not busy so didn't really understand why it would be left like that. Drinks tasted like they'd give you heartburn if you know what I mean, just really crap. We did want to leave after 1 drink but had paid a deposit so thought we may as well stay so not to lose money. I asked for the bill twice which we never got, had to go outside to the front desk to find someone. It was really cold, no atmosphere at all, bathrooms were dirty, the place just seems really run down!

Poor service, Xmas dinner booked. On mezzanine but was cold had to keep jacket on. Food ok, but no Xmas crackers, absolutely no Xmas spirit. Table booked for after meal was disappointing with staff having absolutely no control of table booking, even tho was a great venue, not as busy as experienced before pre COVID. Overall a disappointing experience. As a result would not recommend

Hired the studio room for my sister's Hen do. Over email and during the booking of our event the staff were very helpful and myself and a few friends were allowed to get in to decorate the room early which was great so I had high hopes and was excited about our day at Hummingbird. However, when we arrived the room was quite grubby, and service was poor. Staff seemed undertrained and simple requests and questions were met with pretty unhelpful responses. Wasn't awful but wasn't great considering that we spent quite a bit of money there. Otherwise , We had the buffet which was decent enough and the Karaoke was fun. This may have just been a bad day and I can't comment on the other rooms/main bar but I was overall unimpressed.

Electrifying atmosphere with good food and booze.

We had a hen do at this venue a few weeks ago and there were a number of issues on the night. Having spoke to management on a number of occasions throughout the event they apologised and told myself and another bridesmaid we would receive a full refund the following Monday. The Monday came and went and we had heard nothing from the Hummingbird so I contacted them and was told they were sorry but they would not be issuing a refund. I asked for my complaint to be escalated and they just did not get back to me, I have since emailed them on a number of occasions but they just don’t respond. I completely understand that things can go wrong in a business but this was our friends hen party, a very special occasion which was ruined due to their lack of communication and then to treat us like this afterward is appalling. I have never heard of a company just ignoring their customers. I’ve attached a copy of my email which includes only a few of the issues we had and the only response I received. I would recommend you avoid this place at all costs, the customer service is nonexistent 👎

My friends and I were served by Rossana at Hummingbird. She was attentive, kind and so helpful when serving us. She recommended lovely cocktails and was very considerate of our dietary requirements while doing so. Rossana was very professional and was an absolute credit to the Hummingbird team and really made our experience. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

Came up all the way from Liverpool and couldn’t get enough of this place. Staff were extremely friendly and service was excellent. Can’t wait to come back to visit!

Booked the penthouse suite for my sisters hen do with a buffet and karaoke. We had a good night but Hummingbird have been awful to deal with. Here are some of the things that happened: 1. When we tried to book the venue we were told it was booked already but the other group hadn’t paid the deposit and we could have it if they didn’t. Turned out it had been booked for us even though i had just initially enquired. I had told them my name when i tried to book it told it was booked and then they called me to see if i was paying the deposit that night. 2. We booked from 8.30 as there was a cocktail making session using the room bit were told they would move them to another room so we could have it earlier. This never happened and we were told it t would be an 8.30 start. 3. Asked if we would could get in early to decorate and was told 3 different times - we then asked if we could drop some balloons and banners off as we were going to another pub before hand and were told no there was no room to leave it anywhere. 4. Emailed/called the venue 4 times to ensure we could get a gluten free/dairy free option for the buffet for 1 guest. Nobody really got back to my with an answer until when i spoke to the manager at the door on the night of the party. When his arrived it had diary free written down on it not gluten free asked the staff member if they could check and it took about 20 mins to get an answer 5. When we arrived to decorate the hall it wasn’t set up for us. There were dirty glasses on the bar, gift bags left from a previous function and confetti on the floor, no tables or chairs set up. We had to set up and also clean the tables. There was one guy trying to do it but he disappeared so we had to do it. 6. We booked the buffet with a drink of wine or beer on arrival. The barman had poured out several glasses of red wine when i asked about it he told me that’s what i had requested. This was not true nobody had discussed drinks options with me and i thought we would just be asked on arrival. When i asked him to poor out a mix of red/white/rose wine i was told no he had to do what was written on the sheet. I asked him 3 times to speak to a manager and nobody appeared. About 45 mins later a female member of staff appeared I explained the situation and she thankfully sorted it. Also the red wine which had sat out for a while - we watched the bar man pour it back into the bottles. 7. When we arrived i was ask what time i wanted the buffet served i said 10/10.30ish seemed we couldn’t get in until 8.30pm the reply was the chefs wont stay that late latest we can do it 9.30pm. Why ask if this was the latest time. The food was nice to be fair to them. 8. The karaoke machine 2 mics didn’t work together nobody could fix this and also the screen wasn’t showing all the lyrics again nobody could fix this. We asked if we could play a video on the screen and we were told by one staff member it couldn’t be done then another later told us we could have. 9. Tried to order cocktails were told we don’t make them up here. Reluctantly they agreed to get them made downstairs but it took ages for them to come up. For the money we paid the lack of customer service was awful. The events team are hard to speak to, cant answer any questions, don’t get back to you. A simple booking form would have made the difference and some of our issues wouldn’t have happened. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to book a function here until they organise the events team better.

Visited Hummingbird with my friends last Saturday night and had a blast. Drinks were reasonably priced, had a lively atmosphere and staff were all very friendly. Especially loved chatting with Jordan and Wren from the main bar, they were especially helpful. Will definitely be back!

Brilliant establishment, great atmosphere and really nice staff. Bartenders that served me, Jordan and Wren were really nice and very funny. The drinks that they served were amazing. Hats off to them.

We came as a group of 10 on Sat 7th for the Gals Day Out for my friends Hen Party. The Venue was lovely and all the staff were great and nothing was an issue. We had someone turn up late and the staff made sure to sort her food and drinks out when she arrived. We had someone in our group who doesn't drink and they organised non alcoholic beers and cocktails to replace the drinks that were included. We all opted for the pancakes as part of the brunch and were really impressed at how nice they were. The show it's self was great fun with a good mix of performances and interaction from the drag queens and show girl and the butler in the buff was great too interacting with everyone. The only thing I that was out of place was a few of the toilets lights were out and a few other small issues in the toilet, soap dispensers didn't work and replacement dispensers didn't work so was hard to get soap out the bottle. Over all we had a great day and would not hesitate to come back for future events. In saying that the Hen of the party actually won a voucher to return for a future Gals Day Out which was brilliant too. If you get the opportunity to go then please do so as you won't be disappointed.

Cracking place, great for casual drinks or if you’re with a big group for parties, went with the boys and we’ve had some issues with staff at other places, not here, staff were great especially Jordan and Wren, real friendly and good banter, me n the lads will be back.

My friend and I went to Hummingbird two weeks ago for drinks. The service was smiling and polite. Great decorations everywhere, but the atmosphere didn't quite match our vibe, so we left for another place. My friend also felt rather uneasy after the security guard assumed that a group of Asian people behind us were his (also Asian) friends while my ID was being checked. We understand that it might not have been the intention and just wanted to stress that there are other ways to make small talk.

Very disappointed! Karaoke room was broken! No staff cared. Their attitude was shocking! Took 40 minutes to get a drink odd order. Food was also bad.
