Our 1st visit today & def our last! Booked a table last week for 6 ppl, sadly 3 of those were taken poorly at short notice so we informed them on arrival which was fine, they just separated our reserved table so another couple could dine if need be. 1st thing that struck us was how incredibly noisy it was, there was a really loud older lady sitting with 3 other older ladies a few tables away but we could not hear our own conversations, in the other room there was a large party who were obviously celebrating, fair enough but they were extremely loud & raucous. And because of how many diners there were present it was really off putting when everyone else was being very loud & spoiling the enjoyment of a nice dining out experience for others!! Another table were also finding it difficult too. Don't get me wrong we all like to converse but there's controlled conversation & a blatant disregard for others eating in the same area. Not what ppl want when trying to enjoy a meal with family. We ordered our meals, my hubby & I chose the Roast which we were really looking forward to, how very very disappointing. Beef was plentiful but didn't taste like normal Beef, Roast potatoes were small frozen Roasties, the 1 Yorkshire pudding was tasteless & powdery, never tasted anything like it 2bh, loads of veg but just set veg & not your own choice for ppl who don't like certain veg. The veg consisted of Peas, Broccoli which was a browny colour & not healthy green colour, both of which I don't like or eat, carrots & cabbage & thin gravy, the meal was piping hot but saw a couple of Roasts being put into the Microwave so guessing that's why it was nice & hot. Our daughters Meal was Burger with cheese & chips, the burger was pink in colour & she refused to eat it, quite rightly so, the chips were thin frozen chips instead of fresh chips, frozen chips are a big no no for us when dining out. Hubby's & my dessert was nice but our daughter ordered the Chocolate Fudge Cake without ice cream, it was very very dry. Best part of the whole experience were the Waiting Staff who were very pleasant, apart from 1 who stared at our daughter continuously from behind the counter because she was wearing Sunglasses because of her sensory issues due to her Autism, maybe instead of staring more training in the workplace is needed so that ppl can understand that not all disabilities are visible & making ppl feel uncomfortable!! Real shame about these issues as the rest of Fendicks looks to be a lovely place & a real little goldmine. Definitely won't be recommending this place to our friends now who were hoping to come with us at a different time.

Fantastic up and coming local place that’s also dog friendly. The food was delicious, generous portions and friendly service. We hadn’t planned on dessert but couldn’t resist. The biscoff cheesecake and biscoff waffles were out of this world! Will definitely be back

The bar (Rondos) and cafe/ restaurant (Hubbles) have a helpful Facebook page, which we used to view the specials and find information on events on at the bar in the evenings. The drinks are reasonably priced and the food is lovely. The food is in good portions and is of good quality. We would highly recommend the breakfast and heard that the Sunday Roast dinners are lovely too. The staff in the bar and cafe cannot do enough for you. They do takeaway version of all meals, which we took advantage of and my partner ate his birthday breakfast with his fishing set up at Lake 3. Lisa was very helpful and welcoming- we were asked how our stay is going by multiple staff who genuinely wanted to ensure we had the best stay. Everyone on site is nice to speak to and happy to have a chat. The whole site is very dog friendly and it is just asked that they are on leads and not in the cafe (although they are allowed in the bar area, which has a joining door to the cafe area). The site is surrounded by countryside and not short of dog walks to let her have a proper run around. Overall, a great stay for those that love fishing and also for those who are just looking for a country getaway. It’s very good value for money and is well worth a stay. Thank you to all at Fendicks Fisheries, Hubbles, Rondos and Wildflower Cabins. We will be back and will 100% recommend to friends!

A hidden gem! Great campsite, very family friendly. Toilet/shower block were huge & immaculate. Even had a family shower room! We had a meal in the bar - 3 x lasagne, 1 x jacket potato & 3 x kids chips. Lots of options of drinks for kids which was great. Would definitely stay again.

Came here for a light lunch with family. Very nice and clean atmosphere inside with pleasant decor. I, with an egg allergy often feel unwelcome in restaurants, and find it difficult to relax and enjoy meals out, but here, no request was too much trouble. The staff were kind and patient, with the chef even coming out of the kitchen to reassure me, and check on details of all of our meals. I've never felt so welcome and at ease in a café and the extra efforts of the owners of The Spontaneous Cuppa really made a difference. I ordered a baked potato, with cheese and chives: the side salad was delicious, as was the potato, and the rest of my family thoroughly enjoyed their meals too. Feeling included in meals like this is important, especially for those of us who have allergies and dietary requirements. I can thoroughly recommend The Spontaneous Cuppa to anyone looking for a tasty lunch, especially to those with extra dietary requirements.

This pub was my local for many years. Chris and Chris with a friendly community and family have really turned the establishment around to a family friendly pub with food to die for! Chef is a star. I have heard from a couple drinks prices increased quite a bit but I was happy to pay as on holiday. I highly recommend you visit but fair warning. No such thing as one at the Welly :)

Amazing atmosphere! We went for a hen do and the staff were so kind and attentive. They went out of their way for some dietary requirements and hats off to the chef for their lovely homemade scones. Amanda and the staff were lovely and had time to chat with us about our evening. Would visit again if in the area.
