Hoya's in Rochdale

There are plenty of options on the menu. We went for one of the set menu 'banquets' this time which offer a lot of items to try at a great value compared to a la carte. Attentive service and quality food have made Hoya's a budding end of year tradition.

What can I say other than WOW 5 star food 5 star staff such a lovely restaurant all over the decor beautiful the food outstanding and the staff are so welcoming and accommodating 100% recommend to anyone beautiful

Hoya's is one of my favourite restaurants ever! The food is always amazing and the staff are so attentive and friendly, I can't even begin to fault them. They are a great bunch of lads!

I got a takeaway which I have had before and it as always been amazing, but this time I was really disappointed the price was really dear and it just was not up to scratch. Staff really friendly!! Just a shame hopefully just a one off

Portions are shocking for the price if you order takeaway. 2 spring rolls for over a fiver half portion or rice but they charge full price and salt and pepper ribs have nearly no meat. Shocking prices for what you get, others near by are way better

Salt pepper ribs lovely, it was quiet hence the lower score but the staff are lovely so I'd imagine it's great when busy

I grew up in Heywood and this is one of my two favourite restaurants to visit ⭐️ (The other favourite is Venus!) Whenever I travel back to visit my parents we almost always book a table at Hoya’s, we love the food there and the service is great. All of the food tastes very fresh and it’s really good value, the shredded duck is the best I’ve ever had! I’m sure we’ll keep visiting Hoya’s in the years to come, it’s definitely worth a visit if you haven’t tried it before!

Manchester prices, heywood atmosphere. Eating with your coat on is not ideal.

The first time I've visited Hoya's. We visited as a party of 6 on a saturday night. There is a great atmosphere and the staff are kind and helpful. We chose one of the banquet meals. Service was at just the right pace with the food served piping hot, but also a short pause between courses to allow time for us to talk and get ready to eat the next course. I love chinese food and this was some of the finest that I've ever eaten. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Great Chinese food, but beware, the starter portions are the same as a main course. With hindsight we would have shared the starter, but it was that good I plowed on through it!

The BEST Cantonese restaurant I’ve ever ate at - and I have said this to everyone! Portions are huge, prices are fair and the service is wonderful. I recommend the banquet menus - there’s a great selection. I’m no longer local but I’ve still not found a Cantonese restaurant that is quite as good as Hoya’s. It’s always fully booked at the weekends - just a testament to how popular and excellent this place is! PS. The manager is VERY friendly and always so professional :)

An excellent place to enjoy good quality food and to treat yourself. The manager and staff are very attentive and present themselves with high standards of professionalism even with aggressive customers who are unable to be respectful diners themselves. Would absolutely recommend.

I have had the worst experience of my life . I am so hurt the way I was spoken to . The way the waitress or I think it was the manager got angry when I took too long to order . Hurt me so much i left most of the food and left nearly in tears . I will never enter a rude atmosphere like that again .. first time there and the last . Rudeness is not the experience I want with my food . Thank you Just read other reviews about a young family with two and one year old told to leave because the babies were too noisy . I tried to leave a review about this but it seems it won’t let me had I have seen that I would never have gone near !!!! How terrible ! Poor couple . I wouldn’t touch that place with a barge pole now . I had a bad experience but my goodness that is sheer disgusting. If the babies were too noisy they should have moved them to a table away not thrown them out. This is not a child friendly place got children stay away . All profit making no kindness just rude ‘

I am very angry to hear that the manager here kicked out two baby’s and their parents because they were too noisy. I will never eat here and I do not recommend anyone supporting such a vile restaurant owner

Absolutely disgusting ! The woman is utter rude we’ve had a long day and wanted to come here to have a meal and the woman kicked us out as our kids was being too noisy , a 1 year old and a 2 year . I think it’s appalling . No way to treat anybody .

Large family group, 7 adults, 6 children between 3 and 10 years of age. Banquet menus are the best way to experience the restaurant. Amazing food. Great service. A real pleasure. Heartily recommended.

I've been going to Hoyas since they were a chippy in Haslingden the food is always good and the Hoyas family are lovely .

First time takeaway for 2 and really disappointed lot of food but no exciting taste of the orient just spicy. Ordered deep fried crispy chilli chicken, had been deep fried to death and had to be Chewed to eat, Chicken Kung Po was just spicy chilli and no taste or flavour. Great service really friendly but sorry food let you down 😔

I go to Hoya’s with a friend and we always have a great meal. The food is tasty and fresh. Always a reasonable price mid week for 3 courses. The staff are lovely and friendly with nothing too much trouble. Definitely our favourite restaurant. Just wished we lived a bit nearer for takeout!

Hoyas is a lovely restaurant, run by friendly and attentive staff. The food is fabulous, a bit pricey but I would rather pay that bit extra and get good service. Plus, as long as you go there knowing what to expect then it shouldn't be a problem. There are no desserts, apart from ice cream but there's so much selection with the starters and mains that you'd be hard pushed to have room for anything else anyway. I recommend you give this lovely restaurant a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Horrendously overpriced for what you get. £14.95 upwards for mains PLUS pay for rice separately. Not clear on menu you pay for boiled rice. Son's sweet and sour chicken only had 5 peices of chicken....bought a sandwich on way home for him as still hungry. Used to be very good but very very disappointed and won't be visiting again!

The service was a little slow, and the prawn crackers we ordered didn’t arrive - we chose not to say anything as we had plenty of food without them and the 2 ladies working appeared to be very busy. Big choice menu. Pricey but worth every penny. Will definitely be going again.

Got to admit, the food takes a while. Service, presentation and decoration are on high standards. Although the food wasn't all that special, it tasted like most of the chinese take aways i order from uber eats or deliveroo, just triple the price for a meal, averaging £13 a meal. If you only looking for a good chinese meal for a reasonable price i would recommend else where, but if you are more about the experience this place is great for you.

Been eating at hoyas for about ten years, and never had a bad meal. The food is fresh and tasty, the beer is good and the staff are lovely. I've actually left the area now, but hoyas is always top of the list when I am back that way visiting family.

The Banquets here are fantastic! 6 of us all had menu 'C' as it has everything on it and is great value for money. The presentation, quality and standards are 1st class. Huge portions, especially the Duck! Loads of choice, and it all tasted amazing. Drinks prices really good too. Great service from the Lovely owner and staff who were all really welcoming and looked after us. Would highly recommend. Thanks for a great evening!

We are frequent visitors to this restaurant (when not in lockdown) and love the food and the ambiance. We have also used the takeaway service whilst the restaurant has been closed and can 100% guarantee that the food quality is of the same very high standard. A fantastic NYE 2020 meal was thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended.
