We accidentally found you a couple of weeks ago at B & Q and the sweet langos was so lovely. As we were at Clifton Moor again, we stopped to try a savoury version. The halloumi langos was amazing and the toppings were so fresh. Will certainly be back again but unfortunately we live out of York so don't tend to go to clifton moor that often. Thank you for the lovely food. I think Langos might just be my new favourite food! K x

Exceptional meal and service. Chose the tasting menu and wine flight. Will be the highlight of a very lovely memorable weekend break in York

An impromptu stay over in York. There are numerous fine dining restaurants to choose from but feel we made a great choice. Warmly welcomed and in fact service was excellent throughout, professional but very friendly. At the end of the day at this level it's all about the food, which was excellent, we opted for 5 courses with wine pairings. Best meal for quite some time and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Not cheap but felt good value. Look forward to returning.

I was a little worried before we came here that like most dessert places there would only be a couple of vegan options, but they ended up having an entire menu! So many of their food and drinks can be made vegan and the staff were very knowledgable on what I could and couldnt have. I ended up going for a pistachio hot chocolate (which was out of this world) and a build your own pancake with peanut butter and butterscotch sauce. The pancakes were so light and presented so beautifully. The server we had was also so so lovely and made the experience even better!

Don't be misled into thinking this is just a wine bar. Although their wine selection is impressive, they also provide superb food.

This restaurant is a little gem serving a limited, but wide ranging, menu which ought to satisfy everyone. The food is, without exception, interesting, innovative and very well cooked or, in the case of deserts, very well prepared and put together. The two dining rooms, while not glamorous, are cosy and comfortable. You don't come to this place to show off, rather you come here because the food is superb. Service is brilliant too. Very friendly and helpful staff and no rushing. 2 minutes from the Minster, 10 minutes from the station, and backing onto the city walls, this place is easy to find and very accessible. I really can't recommend No 8 Bistro highly enough
