House of Fu in Manchester

Got the original ramen which was okay but kind of bland. Adding soy sauce helped but it was not readily available on the tables and instead had to be requested. My friend really enjoyed her dish (california rice bowl) though. I also got a plum sake which was sweet and crisp. Very delicious

First time. Fantastic food, great prices and clean toilets.

The starters were nice and so was the Ramen. Unfortunately the matcha basque cheesecake was a big disappointment very try dry and dense like over cooked not the same texture as a basque cheesecake should be and the portion was so tiny for £7.50

Came for a quiet meal for 1 at House of Fu to try out their Ramen. I had the Tofu Tonkotsu Ramen bowl and it was delicious! Highly recommend for vegetarians. Elle, who served my meal, was incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful with the suggested options. She made the whole experience warm and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back here in the future. :)

Food is amazing. Our server was brillant and very attentive. We had bottomless brunch and the vibes downstairs were great as the DJ played some bangers.

Really enjoyed the ramen from here and the cocktails were so good we ended up having the same ones again, couldn't get enough! Decor is lovely, it was a little quiet when we were in but it was during pride so that's probably why.

My girlfriend and I came here for Date Night after going to bottomless brunch here last month. Really love this place, food is always spot on. The gyoza were a bit of a let down and the Cucumber Salad was huge! I would have preferred smaller cuts of cucumber, or even slices ect. The Fu Fried Chicken is so addicting (the Crispy Cauliflower from the bottomless brunch is heaven) I got the Crispy Cauliflower Rice Bowl which was phenomenal and the Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl is also a good shout. Cocktails were 2 for 15 and they were also delish. Service was awesome, Jess served us for most of the time and was very attentive and sweet. Thank you for a great time, will definitely be back for more rewards and eventually some merch!

I love visiting House of Fu, it's always speedy service & fab food. My favourite go to order is the Tantamen Ramen (has a spicy kick to it), a side of crispy cauliflower and pork gyozas. Staff are always super nice especially the girl with dark her (possibly the manager?). We got the scratch cards in January and returned in Feb to scratch those which gave us 10% off our bill. We always finish the evening by poping down the stairs by the kitchen for the photobooth.

Tried to make use of the scratch card offer in January. We were really looking forward to coming back to make use of our scratch cards but after the bill came and we’d won some frozen cocktails (which we only ordered normal cocktails) the waitress rudely said you ‘but you haven’t ordered frozen cocktails’ it felt really disappointing after waiting so long to claim the initial offer only to be told we’d have to come back a third time to use them! Instead of the loyalty scheme intending for us to come back, we won’t be back after being misled

Veggie options are hit and miss but I enjoyed mine the spicy option! £10 offer is great value! Tiramisu was amazing

I usually dislike instagrammable places like this with pink lights and "ticking all the boxes menus" (ramen, bao buns, frozen cocktails) but I was taken by the good reviews and the pictures. What a surprise - it is incredible. We ordered the chicken ramen , Korean tsukemen and tofu spicy rice bowl. The ramen (noodles) were some of the best I've had in UK and the tsukemen were evidently made in house (or sourced from somewhere eclectic) as I've not had yellow soba noodles of that thickness before (or indeed had soba tsukemen anywhere before) - the tsuke soba was just a little spicy and delicious. The ramen broth was good and the spicy tofu was spicy. The sake/nihonshu selection was surprisingly good and crowd pleasing The desserts were interesting- I would recommend the matcha cheesecake Overall probably the best pulled off JP fusion I've had in UK. And cocktails/karaoke if you feel like it My only failing was that the frozen cocktails felt like they skimped somewhat on the alcohol (just tasted of slush) 4 covers with drinks and 3 alcoholic drinks cost £108 Inc service.

Absolutely LOVE this place! Been here several times, both for a Bottomless Brunch on my birthday- which was excellent, and BOY, did they not shirk away from keeping our drinks topped up as we never found that bottom- and for their recent £10 ramen deal where we enjoyed an excellent meal, 2-for-1 cocktails which were lovely, a scratch card which will reveal a free prize for our next visit, and an hour-long session of Karaoke for free downstairs- does it get any better than that?! I must have been singing so poorly, the morning after my voice had completely gone, but it didn’t matter because I was smiling so much from having a good time. We’ll be back soon to get our scratch cards checked off to see what we have won! A fun, inventive restaurant with great service and great food. A real Manchester gem this- keep it up guys!!

My top 5 Ramen place in Manchester. Only complain about Ramen it's a bit too rich and heavy. Also Gyozas are Homemade and really tasty. We'll be comming again for sure.

Had a really lovely meal here, we both got the special ramen with 'nduja and it was delicious, full of flavour and great portions. We also took advantage of the happy hour cocktails 2 for £10, really nice drinks. They had lots of tables although maybe book in advance on a Friday or Saturday. The staff were really friendly. Id definitely visit again when I'm craving ramen

Not the best ramen I’ve ever had but their char siu crispy bao bun was amazing!

This is the second time I’ve been here, maybe 6 months apart. This time for a valentines meal, so it was really busy but service wasn’t affected. We had the same dish, which was the cauliflower rice bowl. Both identical each time and tasty, the second time we ordered a side of black garlic tenderstem broccoli with crispy kale. It was cooked perfectly with a bite and well seasoned with soy. Service is very friendly, atmosphere is great and they always have a really good playlist on, made our evening great. We will be back to try something different!

Absolutely love House of Fu, Leeds. I visit Leeds once a month and eat here at least 2 nights out of 3. Satisfying, interesting and delicious food with a brilliant vibey atmosphere.

Great quantity and very tasty! Absolutely loved the Ginger Honey ice-cream dessert even though I am not a gingery person.

Food was wonderful. Loved the Happy Hour deal, all day every £12 for 2 cocktails. Food arrived quickly and staff were attentive. However, the member of staff in basement bar could have been more pleasant. She clearly sighed when I showed that the website price for karaoke on a Friday was 50% off. She had to get her manager, who said they should honour it, but clearly the website deal is no longer operating. The QR code to order drinks was great in theory, but 20 minutes later, I got to the bar and staff had not received my order. She apologised for things not working/being slow. Karaoke was great though.

First time here and so glad we visited, excellent service from the staff we met, all very friendly and attentive (we have two young children). Food was excellent, enjoyed by everyone including my very fussy son. Will definitely be back in the near future

This is our go to lunch time treat with the family, whenever we go to Leeds. The service is great, but more importantly the food is constantly fantastic!

Delicious as always. Ramen here is so good! Service is quick to get you your food which I really appreciate but then didn’t get any further interaction and had to ask for the bill about 15 minutes after having plates cleared as no one came back. Still a great place and look forward to going back

Really nice spot! It's way bigger inside than I expected. The food was great, with loads to choose from. Highly recommend trying the prawn toast, tasted so fresh and tasty. The spicy fu tantanmen ramen was another winner, spicy yet creamy and full of flavour. Loved it!

This is another one of Manchesters top tier restaurants serving up some of the best ramen in the North West. We had the salmon tartare and the vegetarian gyozas as a starter. The salmon was marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce with crispy wontons to scoop it up a great starter for couples. The gyozas were slightly overdone but still enjoyable. However my house fu ramen was fantastic, not a noodle nor a drop of broth was left in my bowl. The service was speedy and the food came out swiftly. My partner left her bag as we were leaving and our waitress ran down the street after her so hats off to her!

First time going and the food was great worth trying the veggie options are very yum! Friendly staff but could do with more on busier periods.Felt sorry for them rushed off their feet. Please add a heater near the door for guests who are sat at the counter spaces. It’s January and being subjected to cold winter air when people come in is not the best. Not a complaint just a suggestion for improvement.

Loved loved loved this place.... the food was so fresh (comes out when it's ready) and the options were plentiful. We had 3 starters and 2 mains plus cocktails, and it was all lovely. The place is clean with lots of floor space and many tables. We called in Saturday 5pm with no booking and we were accommodated.

As you can see, I’m on a bit of a ramen spree. My modus operandi being to compare ramen offerings across the various places that have sprouted up across central Manchester. If you’re following me, you know that my reference point is the Hakata style I had at Ichiran in Fukuoka. Yes, better versions are available there, but it’s the most easily accessible. Closer to home L Ü C K Y - RAMEN is currently in top place followed by Shoryu in Piccadilly gardens. So where does House of Fu stand. If you’re headed here only for the ramen, then you might be a tad bit underwhelmed. It’s not up there with the best. The chashu and tare are ok. I don’t mean to damn with faint praise but if you’re headed here, then coming for ramen that you dream about should not be first on your mind. Come for the drinks instead and stay for the Karoke. You won’t be disappointed.

A fusion noodle place. I think the food is just alright. It is not as fun to eat to me. However, the service is really good. Staff members were friendly and helpful to me. They consulted me with what I should order as a vegetarian.

We made our own atmosphere as a fantastic team. The rice was too dry, not enough chicken, but lots of dry rice. Karaoke room for 18 was far too small. The staff were excellent. I suppose we had a great night though 😀

Have been going to the Leeds restaurant for a couple of years so decided to give the newer Manchester restaurant a try. Food was to the usual excellent standard. Staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant is impressive and far larger than the Leeds one. Would recommend, best ramen I’ve had outside of Japan

My wife and I visited and had a brilliant experience. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the service was speedy. Everything about the food was fantastic. I opted for the specials, which was recommended, and it had a brilliant blend of flavours, whilst my wife tried the original, which was equally delicious. For the price, the quantity of food was very fair, especially as the flavours were so great. The menu has a great variety of options to make your dish choice unique, and drinks are prepped and served in good time. I will have to visit again to try something else on the menu.

Came here for a bottomless brunch on a Friday evening and had a great time! The drinks kept coming super quick and the vibe was great, there was a DJ and it wasn’t overly busy. Laura who was our waitress was great she was very attentive and made sure we were always seen to and always had a drink on the go, she was friendly and welcoming!

Went for lunch and original fu ramen with tonkatsu broth was amazing! Also had special gyoza and yuzu margarita, delicious! Highly recommend!

Went here with my sister, our food came so quickly and it was so so good. Very happy. I do wish there were more nonalcoholic drink options, however that still didnt ruin our experience

Recently came for a bottomless brunch with some work friends and was very impressed with the staff. Very friendly and helpful. The food was also very tasty and fresh. The only thing that let it down for me personally was the drinks that were included. The only beer on offer tasted cheap and flat and the cocktails were also very basic so I stuck with the spirits and mixers on offer. Great atmosphere here I would happily visit again.

Came in for dinner with a couple of close friends that are real 'foodies' (wish I was one, myself!). I had no idea what to eat really so was offered suggestions by our server whereas my fiends seems to know exactly what they wanted. Food was fantastic and even my foodie-friends were impressed (no mean feat). Atmosphere was spot on and even though it was quite busy, it never felt that we waited long for service. Didn't try the karaoke but can totally see why people love doing that after eating such great food.. Another reason not to leave the place!

Amazing food, been on my list of places to try for a while and wasn’t disappointed! We had pork bao, special gyoza, Szechuan lamb and spicy tantanmen ramen all were delicious. The drinks were also really good, we had the 2 for 1 cocktails.

Loved it here, plenty of seating and lovely atmosphere. All the staff were lovely and pleasant. Food was loved by myself and my boyfriend. It was his first time and he wants to come back. Thank you for taking good care of us.

Came here for my friend’s birthday and the food did not disappoint. As we were a big group of around 20 people we all got a lot of starters to share between all of us, this included the Fu-Fried Chicken, Crispy Cauliflower, Cucumber Salad, Black Garlic Tender-stem, and House of Fu Pickles. These all tasted delicious and I wish I had taken more pictures. For my main course I got the Teriyaki Chicken. I was originally going to get the California Bowl, but they were out of stock of that dish. However, I was not disappointed as the Teriyaki Chicken tasted so nice. I believe all this only came to around £25 per person which I thought was amazing value

Nut-free heaven! Incredibly tasty food and lovely service, in a cool setting. Variety of seating and table options, the menu is full without being overly complicated or sprawling. Everything I've had had been amazing - I really recommend the Spicy Tintanmen and the Matcha Basque cheesecake!

Really cute venue, and the ramen was phenomenal

Lovely place to eat.. Feels cool and modern in its interior design. In a great location within walking distance of Chinatown. Host was friendly and on hand to answer any questions. Portions are big as are the small plates. Great atmosphere and there was no rush for the table, a real relaxed environment - which was great and made the experience more enjoyable. Will be coming back soon!

Wonderful meal as usual. Friendly helpful staff with great service, absolutely delicious food. We had the special chip shop gyoza - omg how delicious! We also had the special butter ramen which was wonderfully rich and umami.

Ambiance was awesome, definitely worth a visit if you like ramen.

1.-The starter was good, the quality of the cucumber and flavor were good. 2.-The ramen was spicy enough without being overpowering. 3.-The texture of the egg was not ideal, too cooked. 4.- The Choi pad came whole and with good texture. 5.- There is no Japanese beer option, only 1 brand they work with 6.- the atmosphere is very good but too impersonal 7.- the service was fantastic
