This is a lovely hotel. The rooms are trully fantastic. The junior suite was marvellous. Very comfortable bed and lovely atmosphere in the room. And throughout the hotel. Feels light and airy everywhere. The restaurant serves delicious food catering for vegans as well. The staff is wonderful. Highly recommended.

Stayed at this hotel with my partner at the weekend and must say it's the filthiest room i have ever experienced in a hotel,I was able to write clean me on the inside of the room window!there was grime round the toilet bowl, old toilet paper stuck to the walls and my partner had to clean out all the bath tub before we used it.beutiful place with friendly staff and the location is ideal but if its a clean room your after I would give this place a wide berth.

As always another good wine dinner at Hotel du Vin last Thursday. The steak was delicious and went well with the wines from down under expertly described by Nigel of Boutinot.

Stayed at Hotel du Vin Newcastle on Friday 5th April with my 4 year old son for a little adventure and night away. The hotel staff were fantastic with him treating him like a little person and he was very content making his own decision around dinner and breakfast in the Bistro. The Room was a junior balcony suite, my personal favourite when I stay, which includes a free standing huge bath and a super king bed. My son loved how fast the bath filled up with bubbles and the fact he could starfish out in the huge bed without touching dad was a bonus. The location from the city centre is a little out but for us it was perfect as we booked a visit Seven Stories (about 8 mins walk) for a book reading, coffee and cake and a look at the books. It's right ontop of the Ouseburn too so we had plenty to do including a visit to The Ouseburn Farm, Northern Rye for a mega croissant and Gingerinos for pizza. Great service from all as usual with special shout outs from Andrew and Johnathan. Thanks again for a wonderful stay and will see you next time child free for a large dram and a cigar.

Shown as free parking on Google (when I booked), car park is tiny and costs £15 per night. The top car park is only for the cross fit (CFT) gym which is not clearly marked. Pawel on reception desk was rude and unhelpful, insisting that the signage was clear. He then went on to rudely insist that married couples couldn't have different surnames, which soured the tone for our visit.

Excellent hotel. Friendly staff, amazing bistro food. Reasonably priced for what you are getting, the room was very well equipped, we had a standing bath tub , huge shower, coffee maker etc and the staff all did their best to make everything as good as it could be - fast service and helpful tips for the area. The only thing I can fault at this branch is the parking. You pay £15 a night to be able to use their car park, however anyone using the bistro can also use the car park. So we paid our parking fee, parked, then left for one evening to explore and came back - no parking. We had to wait until 11pm (regularly checking) for a space, in the meantime we had to leave our car several streets away. They did offer us a refund on parking for that night and we also met another couple in the exact same situation. I can't help but think this could be remedied if there was designated bistro parking and designated hotel stay parking.

Wonderful stay in a stunning suite. Cocktails in the bar are beautiful and the service is excellent. Room was so lovely with a huge bed, side by side baths and gorgeous done shower. Fully stocked mini bar that we felt was reasonably priced. Robes, slippers, lovely toiletries and everything you need for a comfortable night's stay. Beautiful breakfast in the morning with so much to choose from both hot and cold. This is the 2nd time we have stayed and will definitely stay again.

Visited here a number of time, but the last visit fell well below par. The restaurant was freezing cold and no attempt to remedy the issue was forthcoming. We had to sit with coats on, it was that cold. The food.. rump steak… was more like a quick fry steak, being no more than a few millimetres thick. Definitely not a rump steak by any stretch of the imagination. The steak knifes couldn’t have cut butter. No serrated knifes, just a blunt knife with a wooden handle. Then pudding arrived. Créam Brûlée… obviously just been taken out of the fridge and bunged in the microwave. Slightly warm on the outsides… cold in the middle. The issues were politely addressed to the staff who apologised and were well aware of the issues with the steak, but did nothing except welcomed us to return. At the prices charged, you’d expect something better than the local Toby Carvery! Won’t be returning and certainly won’t recommend to anyone.

As a Wedding Photographer, The Hotel Du Vin is a fantastic venue for weddings! Gorgeous food and super helpful staff as always! There are so many cool locations for photos in and around the hotel, the history of the building giving a vintage, industrial vibe. I love it and cant wait to shoot more weddings here!

The William IV on High street is a local pub in Gateshead that offer a decent range of beers and was one of several pubs that we visited on a day out around Gateshead. A solid old style boozer that is housed in a traditional pub style building'the interior is again a traditional pub interior with lots of good seating options and an outside area at the back with extra seating options. I don't know why but I adore going to pubs like this as it brings me back to when I first started drinking many years ago and most of the pubs I visited where like this. This pub was very busy when we visited as where most pubs we went to in Gateshead and when here we had a couple of bitters from the John Smith's brewery which were well served and priced. This is another superb local boozer and is well worth visiting as the staff were friendly and they offer a well priced range of beers and is very easy to locate from High Street bus stop it's a minute's walk.(This is my first review of the William IV). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-10.00-23.30. Friday-Saturday-10.00-00.30. Sunday-10.00-23.30. Nearest Bus Stop. High Street bus stop.

I recently visited Côte and had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious English breakfast. The food was perfectly prepared, with each element cooked to perfection, from the crispy bacon to the creamy scrambled eggs. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet vibrant ambiance that made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall charm of the place. Whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast or a spot to relax and soak in a great vibe, Côte is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!
