Desert with cherry on top gave it the 4 star and house salad was dry thus 4 star. Soup n fish were perfect.

We stayed at the hotel so decided to eat dinner there. Unable to order the tasting menu as this required 24h notice which wasn't indicated on the menu :( The onion soup was very tasty, the fish was a little too salty but beef bourguignon was good. Chocolate mousse was good, pear belle Helene was massive, definitely enough for two people to share.

Baby and stroller friendly, though at first you might think it's not. A nice shortbread with tea..But watch out for wedding parties who may take over the place.

We popped in here for an afternoon coffee. It's a lovely place, just off Newcastle quayside. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere whilst having a coffee.

Visited for restaurant week which is always a risky choice. Staff took us to the wrong table and the waiter was slow, having to remind him of what we had ordered and get one dish corrected in terms of its sides. Prawns to start and the Black Forest moose to finish were both fabulous although the supplement for the prawns wasn’t clearly indicated. Unfortunately the main course was average at best, the Normandy chicken turned out to be a standard chicken breast with a few French fires, a meal anyone could easily cook at home for a lot less. This significantly let down a promising starter and excellent dessert in an Enjoyable and refined dining room

Great evening spent with friends at one of the private dining rooms. Luke was our host; he's such a great guy, and we felt welcome. The food was great, and I really appreciated the non alcoholic spirits selection.

Had a overnight stay and had dinner and breakfast ... Dinner didnt start to good ,I asked one of the hotel staff if it was a limited menu due to these Covid times but was assured it was a full menu ..Guess what it wasn't a full menu which was a disappointment... The limited menu was a struggle for my Veggie partner but we managed to choose a starter main meal and a dessert.... I won't go through what we had but the prawn starters where cold and didn't have that much taste.. The main meals which where fish and steak dishes where okay but nothing to get excited about... Desserts where Profiteroles and a cheese board which yet again was nothing to get excited about.. I have stayed and dined at this place many times and I understand with Covid that hotels and bistros are finding their feet again but after last night's meal I don't think I would dine there again ..... Just a side note breakfast was spot on no issues .... We ha

This used to be my favourite bubble tea place where I would frequently come to visit. However, the past couple of times, I have been left very disappointed. The quality of especially the taro milk tea seems to have gone down hill-it doesn't taste nice anymore. However, there are no faults in the fruit teas.
