Hot World Buffet in South Lanarkshire

Visited this establishment recently and even allowing for COVID the place lacked any atmosphere and the food was bland and uninviting to look at. Poor quality all round

Called the restaurant to confirm open and lunch menu £9.99. Arrived at 3.25 pm and started again on arrival looking for a table for 4 for the lunch menu. The Indian food curries were lovely however Chinese curry was lumpy and selection poor. No crab claws, mussels, only one choice of soup and several dishes not refilled so limited availability. The sweet selection was fair enough. Overall we all thought it was average for £9.99 per head however sorely disappointed when billed £16.99 per head and extra £27.96 on our bill! When challenging this I was told times of lunch changed to 12~3pm due to restaurant opening times restrictions. I explained I had both called the restaurant and said before entering the restaurant that I was looking for lunch menu and I have to say there were no additional items added to the buffet during our visit to justify evening menu prices. My disappointment was ignored and I was told the bill was as it stands. Sensing I was unsatisfied the manager offered a stamped loyalty card for a meal on our next visit and speaking to the staff member however this was not good enough, a family treat ruined paying for an overpriced buffet with substandard food.

This was one of the worse meals I have ever had in a take away. It was so bad I could not eat it. Disgusting

Tried a home delivery, never been in restaurant and never will now. Food awful. Burger was terrible, pizza disgusting, don’t know what kind of cheese they use but looks, feels, tastes like rubber. Pakora inedible, can’t imagine what kind of chef would allow it to leave the kitchen. Burned black, solid and dry. There was one single piece that looked like normal pakora, go figure!!

Went here for the first time and can honestly say I won't be going back, waiter was nice enough but the food was freezing, my husband said to them about it and they didn't seem to be bothered about it...total waste of money

What an amazing experience first class restaurant and a very friendly staff. We arrived lunch time seated and asked to have a look at the buffet then a waiter helped us to choose our food we were not allowed to touch any food as he was wearing gloves and mask also the one way system to follow throughout our lunch time I was happy with that. Food was amazing fresh pasta and pizzas curries Chinese and more good value for money Very clean place and professional staff all wearing masks and gloves if we needed any dish not available in the buffet they would and happy to bring it to our table 👌 Highly recommended will be back for more lovely food and atmosphere Well done guys keep up the good work

First time visiting the world buffet and will never be back, just aswell they are doing track and trace as our server was playing with her hair while plating our food when we asked for another played she huffed (putting the plates to the side) while picking up another plate scratched her back then played with her hair again before reaching for the utensil. When we said to her maybe she should wash her hands or sanatise before continuing to serve.. Her reply was it's ok I have gloves on.. The gloves thts scratched her back played with her hair, served the table nxt to us with drinks and opened doors with? When we left we paid our drinks and saw another server putting the plates back on the rack. Never AGAIN

My husband and I went for an early supper, around 6pm, and were disappointed.The selection was ok, and what we chose was tasty. But, there was no chinese noodles, it still had to be cooked. The lamb curry was really good as well as the samoosas. I had cream proffiteroles and nearly choked when I took a bite, the cream inside was not just off, it was rotten. We alerted the waiter who was very apologetic. But, made me try another one in front of them, same result, they didn't seem to believe me until one of them tried it too. Even though we didn't expect or ask, we were not offered a discount. With 1 soft drink the bill was just over £30. For the whole experience, it's not worth it. There are way better buffets to choose from around Glasgow.

I visited this buffet after a friend suggested it to me I saw some negative reviews though and we had some holdbacks to try it due to this but we decided to give it a try and couldn’t be more happier. We ate at lunch and the food was outstanding and the staff were lovely and attentive there were a lot of variety of food to choose from and it’s one of the best all you can eat buffets we have been to. Will definitely be back 👍 The system they have there is amazing with the gloves and mask with a one way system this made us feel comfortable too thank you hot world buffet for a great meal !

Me n my family visited this restaurant after reading some mix reviews but took the gamble. It didn't disappoint us .we were greeted by a lovely young lady who explained us the covid 19 set up which was all gd The choice of food was amazing the service n staff were excellent .the place was spotless. A very professional run establishment . 10/10 for the management.

Me and my family went there. We were 4 adults, 1 kids (11yo) and one toddler of 23 months. As soon as we arrived my brother in law inform the stuff members that the toddler had already ate his dinner so he didn’t need to be counted on the bill. We started the buffet and pretty much all the trays were empty or half empty.it was only 8pm and the restaurant was supposed to shut down at 10pm. The quality of the food was really poor even for a so cheap place. Despite of that we were trying to enjoy our night out. At 8:30pm the waiter started to pass the mop on the floor while we were eating which is disgusting and not safe at all. At 8:40pm the waiter came back to our table and asked us if we wanted to eat more or if they could start to clean all trays on the buffet. 🤦🏼‍♀️ The toddler during the whole dinner ate one fries and gave a bite to a finger fish from the plate of my sister (his mum). We asked for the bill at 8:50pm and they added the toddler as a full kid customer 😱😱. When we asked about that 6,50£ they explained that it was the company policy even if my nephew didn’t eat at all apart from that one fries. When we complained about it they took off My sister coke from the bill. No apologize, no respect and zero customer service. I hope none of you pass through the terrible dinner time we went in this place.

Went to world Buffett for a family birthday meal, there was 15 of us and they made sure they tabled us altogether with according to there guideline restrictions, masks and gloves worn through full service. One way systems so no one was clashing together. Staff where very welcoming anything that we required they assisted us in. Kids made a mess but they made no fuss in cleaning up after us. Was my uncles birthday and they came out with cakes and candles all singing along. Made it that bit more special! The food was on another level all different varieties we even managed to squeeze in a dessert. Would definitely recommend here and will definitely be back. We had heard good reviews about this place from other people. Unfortunately as my friend had a guide dog they wouldn't allow us in! It's illegal apart from anything else. So can't comment on food obviously

A wonderful meal nice friendly waiters helpful manager a bit close and realy busy for my liking but makes a difference when the staff are helpful n friendly. Would have given 5 stars only phoned booking in for 630pm but when arrived had to wait in a large queue with everyone else so next time il just show up here and wont book . But overall a good experience
