Hot wok is my absolute favourite restaurant in the Archway area. The food is superb, the service is excellent and prices are still fantastic. If you're thinking about visiting, do it!!

I always have the SINGAPORE laksa with prawns - yum yum yum - great food, lovely service, prepared fresh while you wait. Never less than delicious

This place has become one of my favs since moving locally! The food is amazing! So tasty, the customer service is fantastic and the prices are fair too! (Unlike some other local restaurants, but that is another story). Some of our favourites are the Thai Sweet Basil Chicken, Spicy Szechuen Chicken, Crispy Chilli Beef and Japanese Katsu Chicken Curry but honestly, everything is delicious!

We had stayed in the Premier Inn at Archway for a couple of nights, and we were looking for a decent restaurant near to the hotel. Found this gem of a Chinese style restaurant on the top of Holloway Road. Glad we did - we had one lunch and one dinner there. Fantastic both times! I want to move it to Bolton where we live.

This is our 2nd visit to Hot Wok Kitchen. We went there again as the food was so good and we wanted to try other dishes (the menu is very comprehensive 😁). Not only is the food delicious, they also have a very cheerful team. We had a great time there. Looking forward to a next visit soon!

I've been here a couple times now and both my partner and I really enjoy the range of food from the menu. I'm vegetarian and sometimes find it difficult to find dishes that aren't just tofu focused, and hot wok provides enough tasty options for a veggie like me. The staff are really warm and friendly. Be sure to get the Aloe juice if you haven't tried it before. Definitely a local favourite.

Heard good things about this place so ordered a take away of Nasi Goreng with Satay Chicken and Malaysian Chicken Curry. The Nasi Goreng is supposed to be a speciality but was no different to Mixed Fried Rice from any Chinese restaurant. The chicken was also over cooked and the Satay Sauce was nothing less than a disgrace. It looked and tasted like it had been made from a supermarket powdered packet made by Knorr. The curry was OK but the 'steamed rice' that came with it was a congealed sticky lump with it being impossible to separate the rice grains.

Beautiful place for a Chinese meal. We had the set menu for two which was £23 - WHAT VALUE! The dishes were beautiful and we also tried their homemade mango sorbet. Very yummy! Service from Maya and the team was fantastic, plenty of choices on the menu to choose from (great prices too) couldn’t fault this place!

Not often I give 5 stars but this place is excellent. Stopped in a nearby Premier Inn & fancied a Chinese. It’s a cafe style place and so busy. Hot wok is modern but authentic, small but busy. The food here is exquisite, delicious food to brighten a rainy day. They have veggie dishes and all their chicken is halal. You can sit in or take away, if you do choose to sit in you can watch the busy Holloway Road from their window while sitting in a calm environment.

The food itself from Hot Wok is great. Tasty, very delicious but the quantity for take away order is not acceptable. I ordered 3x already and I always feel hungry when finish eating. Quality of food is great but on this topic related to size portion something has to be improved. 1 container as seen in the picture does not come full. The best option from menunis the crispy chilli beef.

This is our go-to Chinese. It’s great for takeaways but also to eat inside too. The staff are always good and the food is delicious! I’ve tried a fair few items on the menu now and every single one has been tasty, hot and fresh. Cannot recommend enough.

Just moved to the local area and decided to try a takeaway from here. I was a bit hesitant as it’s actually a restaurant and not your regular local Chinese takeaway, but it’s was the nicest Chinese I’ve probably ever had. Really fresh, tasty ingredients, portion sizes are great and they come as half portions with rice so you don’t have to order rice separately. I will definitely be back!

My wife and I came here for lunch after a hospital appointment,we found the food tasty,the service friendly,but,the portions were small,and the chairs uncomfortable.

Mi esposa, dos hijos adolescentes y yo comimos aquí y lo disfrutamos. Había mucha comida para todos nosotros (incluso empacamos algunas sobras y las llevamos a casa). La comida era muy sabrosa. Los camareros eran atentos y nunca nos hicieron esperar mucho tiempo por su atención. El precio total de la comida era muy razonable. No aceptaron pagos con tarjeta, pero afortunadamente, porque no era demasiado caro, teníamos suficiente dinero en efectivo con nosotros. De no ser así, hay cajeros automáticos a un corto paseo en Holloway Road, por lo que no habría sido una gran molestia.

I’ve eaten from Hot wok maybe 10 times and have never been disappointed. The only dish I didn’t find amazing was the cod but the sauce over it is superb. Pad thai and their crispy sweet n sour chicken are winners! Always found the service nice and welcoming and always look forward to eating here

I eat out every meal more or less. I just write this after storming out of their restaurant without even canceling my order. Everytime I’ve been here they mixed up my order or brought it later than several other guests that came after me. This time I was in a rush, after 20 minutes post order, I saw them ship out a gigantic home delivery. I got my hopes up, believing my order surely must be close. Another 5 minutes later 3 tables who all ordered after me received their food. In one case my order exactly but the guy had walked in 10 minutes after I ordered. I left, really sick of the headless-chicken style management of this place.

I have been coming here for several years, up to now one of my favourite local places. This was, however, my first visit in about 4 months. The first thing I and my partner noticed was how empty it was for a Saturday lunchtime, on our numerous previous Saturday visits the place has been near full, often with families. At one pint we were the only customers. We started our order as we normally do by ordering a pot of Jasmine tea and two cups ( this was what the waitress had suggested on our first visit some years back)We were told apologetically that it was now the policy that if two people wanted tea they both had to order a pot. Since it costs £2 90 for a pot this is effectively a surcharge by another name because you are not going to drink twice the tea you normally would. If you are a party of six and you all wanted tea that’s six pots on the table and you would have paid £11.60 but you would have the benefit of twice the tea that you needed. We ordered what we have ordered several times before. One of my favourites were the duck spring rolls. The ones we got this time just about tasted of duck and when you bit into the spring roll the amount of duck you saw was tiny. To be honest they looked and tasted like the frozen ones you can buy literally by the 100 in any Chinese supermarket in and around Gerard Street and see piled high in those eat as much as you like places doted around Chinatown. The spare ribs were fine and my partner was happy with his Singapore Laska. My Pad Thai tasted bland and was a mess of soggy noodles. It looked unappetising and was. When the bill came it was about £7 more expensive than the last visit (almost a third) for exactly the same food. Perhaps this explains why there were fewer customers than before, Perhaps not, The staff have over the years always been friendly, polite and helpful so it was with a degree of sadness that we left knowing we would not be returning.

I eat out often up and down the country. I have seen so many reviews on some restaurants calling the food authentic and yet it's laughably not. This restaurant is, and they do it well.

Los entrantes llegaron rápidamente y luego tuvimos una larga espera para nuestros platos principales porque estaban concentrándose más en preparar la tome siempre. Cuando intentamos comer allí aproximadamente 2 semanas antes se estaba lleno a reventar de puntos y ni siquiera se podía sentarse y esperar porque la entrega de los ciclistas estábamos bloqueando el asiento. Fuimos al restaurante esa noche como un grupo de 4 y un bebé. No tenían gran mesa gratis y un lugar vacío para 2. Había una pareja joven que no había pedido aún sentados en la mesa grande y la camarera les podría haber educadamente pero no cambiaron así que encendimos nuestra sana y a la izquierda. Así que una vez más yo diría que buena comida, no así el servicio. . Lo siento caliente el wok.

I visited Hot Wok Kitchen during a short stay in London. Restaurant is quite small, but no reservation was needed. Food was served very quickly and with decent quality. I liked it and will be back again.

Fresh and clean. Made to order. Smart setting. Small but vibrate. Good varied range of "Asian" staples. Fried squid delicious. Well priced

Hemos estado en el Wok Caliente un par de veces, pero golpear el jackpot de ordenar sus mariscos laksa temprano en así que no han hecho un gran guión por el resto de su menú. Sin embargo, sus laksa es verdaderamente fantástica, similar a lo que se podría conseguir en Malasia. Sal/pimienta calamares y también fideos singapur recomendado!

Volvimos a esta joya de restaurante como estábamos en la despedida cerca de Premier Inn. Es bastante pequeño dentro, así reservar una mesa si son parte de un grupo, reservamos una para 8:00 para 5 personas en una noche de martes y estaba lleno. Los platos principales de carne de pollo chow principal, con alubias negras y arroz frito especial eran fantásticamente preparado y de buen tamaño de la porción. Todo a un precio razonable y con una buena relación calidad-precio. Bien merece una visita.

La comida no es de lo que es una lástima porque es el único lugar en arco. No estoy incluso tentado de volver, probé dos veces. El personal es agradable, el lugar es limpio y me gusta el ambiente, pero puedo cocinar comida mejor que eso y no soy un gran cocinero (buena en siguiendo recetas).

We have a large group of friends in Archway and this is our #1 restaurant in the area. They are always very nice to us and do their best to help in any way we can. I nearly always order the same thing Duck Spring Rolls and Singapore Noodles and I’m never disappointed. It’s excellent value and I just hope thy keep up the good work.

Great food, served by attentive and elegant staff. Spicy salty squid starter a winner, then a crunchy Thai red curry with duck, and mango sorbet to close. It's a stylish place, carefully lit, with arty bare wood wall treatment and tables. And very reasonable prices too. A real discovery.

It's not simply a "Chinese". The menu has dishes from all over Southeast Asia. I've been twice - once to eat in, the other time for takeaway. Both times, service and food were great despite it being very busy. I've tried the Pad Thai, Nasi Goreng and Thai green curry. All were great, particularly the Pad Thai, because it's rare to get a decent one here in the UK. I will definitely go back.

Very average place. They have tables inside. And the place is very busy. They do loads of Delivero and drivers are waiting around. We waited 30min for our food to come. Everyone who ordered take away waited max10min. So I wasn't super happy that we had to wait so long.

Lo primero que quiero resaltar es el servicio, atento, agradable y encantador, las dos veces que fuimos aunque estaba lleno , enseguida nos decían que esperábamos unos minutos y teníamos la mesa y así era. You can't fault this little restaurant. Staff are extremely efficient and nothing is too much trouble. The food is freshly cooked and so tasty. We had three starters between the two of us (because we could not decide what to choose), main course each, two glasses of wine and a coke - £38.80 - BARGAIN. There were families with young (very well behaved) children who were made very welcome. It was an early dinner so nice to see families out and about and doubt they would be there later. Would definitely recommend.

Called into the Hot Wok at about 10.30pm but the staff were most accommodating. They ushered us to a table and had a nice cold bottle of wine in front of us before we knew it. Food was great and reasonably priced as was the wine. Staff super and very friendly.

We went to eat here before our visit to the comedy cafe. We ordered three different dishes, and they all tasted amazing. The only thing that could have been better is our waiter, who might have had an off-day, bus came across a bit grumpy. Regardless, I would definitely visit again and would recommend it to anyone.
