Tofu Vegan in Islington

Fuimos con un grupo que en su mayoría son vegetarianos. Mientras como comida vegetariana/vegana no como comida picante. Que es la mayor parte de la comida aquí, así que luché para encontrar algo que quería. La persona que tomó el pedido fue bastante grosera, pasó por el grupo rápidamente y no escuchó cuando la gente quería pedir más de un artículo. La comida era rápida pero la mía no apareció. Pregunté al personal dónde estaba la mía, les dije lo que había ordenado, me dijeron que me sentara, 5 minutos después apareció la comida. Ni disculpas ni nada. La comida sabía bien, pero para lo que tenía era muy caro y no vale la pena. No voy a volver a sintonizar aquí.

Delicioso y asequible lugar con excelente comida vegana sabrosa. El personal te ayudará a obtener las combinaciones correctas sin que sientas que están tratando de vender más. El servicio de comida es rápido.

Tuve un almuerzo rápido aquí. No soy vegetariana y elegí un plato de pollo falso que estaba delicioso. La comida era bastante picante (quizás necesariamente para enmascarar su sosidad). El servicio fue rápido y eficiente. Yo volveré.

Absolutamente deliciosa comida! Gran Dim Sum y tofu preparado de la manera más original y sabrosa. Pueden hacerlo tan picante como desee y obtendrá recargas de arroz gratis después de los dos primeros tazones. Sin duda volveré, se siente saludable y sabroso!

Such incredible food!! This is always my go-to recommendation for people visiting London because the food is so good - all the flavours are delicious. Tofu vegan is the one place in London I’ll visit again and again. I wish I could make tofu this good! The vibe inside is also really nice - great for all occasions; dates, family dinners and dinners with friends, too. The service is also excellent! Would definitely recommend the wontons in house special sauce - they are so delicious, I get them every time!! ✨

Every single dish was amazingly tasty, from the dim sum to the seared tofu to the noodles to the chocolate dessert ! A must go.

Excellent service here. Great food too. One of our group had a food intolerance and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us, ensuring that everyone got to eat together and share - knowing clearly which dishes couldn't be tweaked for allergen purposes. Really impressive. Excellent food - not cheap but good value considering the effort and quality. Will be coming back.

Last night in Upper Street, we went to Gem (qv) where they failed - maybe because it was an Arsenal match night - to serve us any food at all in the 1 hour and 20 minutes we waited. And management were then un-repentant, aggressive and unpleasant. The contrast to tonight could not be greater: the service was brilliant and professional and the food wholly delicious. And it wasn’t that the place wasn’t busy - it was heaving. We particularly liked the cauliflower, the spinach, the buns with oyster mushrooms and the aubergine (and I don’t even like aubergine, but…) Also the noodles. Yum! Even profoundly meat-eating son and daughter-in-law were happy with the range of flavours and textures. Honestly, meat-eaters wouldn’t miss it. Eight of us celebrating my brother’s birthday and we all had the best time. We would go again like a shot (maybe on a match day next time…)

I don’t like tofu (don’t ask why I came here - long story) and if you don’t either don’t worry there is plenty of non-tofu dishes. The staff here are brilliant and helped this non-tofu eating person with great advice on what to pick and what dishes were good matches. They were very attentive - probably best restaurant staff I’ve encountered in years. Favourite dish by far was the stir fried “Lamm” (no. 32) which we had with bau buns. Also the Spring Rolls (no. 7) and Padron Peppers (no. 42).

Fabulous vegan food that caters for individuals like myself who are fed up with other restaurants (mostly those that serve corpses) ruining the taste of the food with chilli. Here although chilli is in many dishes, they cook without on request. The food is delicious, varied and extremely good value.

Very very tasty dishes, especially the water spinach and the deep fried asparagus, simple but so well done. The hot and fragrant tofu was amazing too. Incredible flavours. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Will definitely be back soon!

Unbelievable vegan food. I think this has become my favourite restaurant in London. I’ve visited all 3 branches and all have had incredible food and amazing service. I have brought meat eaters here and they have been blown away. Every dish I’ve had has been 10/10. The wontons are incredible, I don’t know what is in that sauce but I can literally drink it straight from the bowl. Please open up a branch in west London!

I could not rate this place highly enough, and have not stopped raving about it to everyone who will listen. Every dish was superb and insane value for money. Already planning my next visit.

Wow. The service and the food incredible. Shame I don’t live closer I would be there all the time. So many options to choose from, my non vegan husband loved the oyster mushrooms, the rice and the noodles really flavoursome and would go as far as saying the best I have had since going vegan 3 years ago. Absolutely recommend and will go back next time we are in London. Quick, lovely staff and well priced. Thank you for making tofu enjoyable

This is the best Chinese food I've ever eaten. The spring rolls and wontons were a revelation-full of flavour in their own right. The twice-cooked fisc is rightly one of their most popular dishes, and a delicious taste of the sea in a bao bun. The stir fried mushrooms with cashews was the best I ever tasted. We finished with pumpkin lanterns and sesame rolls-a light a tasty dessert. To drink we had an organic sauvignon blanc from Chile and an aloe vera drink with ginger, both great with the food. The tastes and textures of the food here are unique and brilliant.

A great place for vegans/vegetarians which we are not. Most of our choices worked well but some didn't. We shall have to choose better next time.

Amazing first visit to TV. Great to be able to choose from everything on the menu. Had the wontons - very popular and can see why - sauce was very tasty. Tried cauliflower, tofu rice and a few other dishes. All were great.

Honestly would go here every day if I could afford it. So bloody good. A firm favourite even among no veggie friends. Definitely book in advance though as it's incredibly popular and you won't get a table otherwise. The spicy wontons are just insanely good. Have tried most of the menu at this point and haven't found anything I don't like yet.

We had the Tofu and Vegetable Rolls for starters, the Stir-fry Tofu with Mushrooms and the Stir-fry “Lamb” with Cumin for mains, and the Sesame Rolls for dessert. (The Malbec wine too). All were delicious and very different to other Chinese vegan restaurants in London. The service was very prompt. The ambiance was nice but a little too cramped. The pricing represented good value for money.

Actually visited the branch in Spitalfields but TA doesn't appear to have a separate review section for there. Place was mobbed so a reservation is a good idea. The maitre d'/manageress is not friendly, in a fact a wee bit scary. We were very early...

Outstanding food, delicious flavours and textures - every dish we had was incredible… don’t have to be vegetarian to enjoy this - highly recommend and would most definitely return.

If you like good spicy vegan food, this is the place a bit expensive, but all good All the dishes tasted like they were supposed to taste, i.e. lamb tasted like lamb tasted like duck

Lovely vegan food and waiting staff who were very knowledgeable about the menu. Make sure to try the house special sauce (we had the wontons) and get lotus leaf buns to soak up any extra!
