Hot Wok in Surrey Heath

Worst Chinese I have ever had sadly. Duck was chewy and hard and the chilli beef was tasteless and inedible. Won’t even go there with the dumpling sauce…

As always Hot Wok never disappoint, great tasting food, the chicken ball quality has never been better, so much meat, and for me, such great portions, there are always plenty of leftovers but, again, that would depend on how much you eat! And I stated the meal was early, the delivery time was between 65-80 minutes, it arrived after about 55-60 minutes, we are very close though!

Very disappointed with the chips. The last time I ordered they were proper chip shop chips. This time they were definitely just supermarket bought oven chips.

If you like a good chinese, it's decent food, decent portions at a decent price. Never had any complaints with it on the numerous occasions I've ordered.

The food as declined in current weeks; in particular the chips. They are re heated and have no substance to them! Definitely not getting value for money. Unless there is a radical change or a response to this email to explain the fall in standards of food, I will take my custom elsewhere.

As per usual great fish and chips, and free prawn crackers! Love this place!

It was early but they delivered the wrong thing, I asked for beef in green pepper and black bean sauce, they sent me chicken in black bean sauce. The house special fried rice was terrible

Food cooked to perfection, half hour early and was worth every penny

Very disappointed certainly will not order again. The chicken balls were undercooked. Ribs were so burnt and dry not edible. Prawn toast were overcooked. Meat that was in chow mein was so chewable. This is the worst chinese food I have ever had. Not a nice experience. Should be offered at leat a refund.

I have been religiously buying my Chinese over 15 years from hot wok (Bracknell) I think finally I found a new hot wok near home. special chow Mein- better then Bracknell, because muddles had better flavour Hong Kong Style Sweet & Sour King Prawns- not better then Bracknell but very close, because the prawn batter is a little too soft and needs more pine apple. Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls- not better then Bracknell, very oily, make it 12 smaller balls and dry them better for longer. but 7/10 is very good, compared to local shops

Battered sausages were massively over cooked again. Order was wrong for the 3rd time in a row. Very disappointing, used to like this chippy/Chinese but standards and service have gone to pot. Not going back again.

This was recommended by a friend and I am glad that I gave it a go. Food was delicious and mostly hot will come back. Thank you Hot Wok.

Came super fast. But I'll be honest it was the worst Chinese I've ever had. Chicken in chow mein was rubber and full of salt. My partners Singapore noodles was extremely bland and cold. Spring rolls looked nice but hardly any filling and soggy. Real shame. Hopefully they sort it out

Amazingly quick delivery! Food was a little greasy for our tastes but will still order again from Hot Wok - we have been using them for years.

Good cold sauces all in the bottom of the bag

Chips and onion rings were cold. Fish was greasy and tasted rank. Originally it said that delivery was going to be over an hour, but luckily it arrived in 40 minutes. All this is made worse when I live just 60 seconds drive from the restaurant, so how food can get so cold in such a short journey time is ridiculous

Meat was chewy, chips were hard and the sweet and sour sauce was very strong. Delivery was just left on the door step with no communication at all from driver

Before ordering said 30-50 mins, once ordered it said food will be with you at 9pm when ordered at 7.15ish on a teusday night, food is always good, restaurant doesnt deliver to us directly on their website, and everytime we use just eat we seem to be waiting 1 and a half hours for food! Not very happy

The wrong order was delivered.

Early delivery was excellent as we were a little hungry 😀. Food was piping hot. Chinese beef and mushrooms was just so tasty with fat mushrooms! King prawns another great dish not too salty. All in all great food and will order again

Great choice of takeaway Chinese food, not too salty! Delivery was quick and food was hot ( not lukewarm like some). This is the 3rd time I have used Hot Wok and they have never disappointed. Big portions freshly cooked and tasty, BIG WIN

The only takeaway we always stick to. They have lovely food. Always early when we pre order, they read notes of not to put in, “thank you” the only problem we had this time is the savaloy didn’t seem right, that’s the only thing I can comment about, but hopefully next time it will be a lot better 😊

The foid was late and cold. The quantity in a meal for 2 was poor. The foid did not have a lot of taste and was very greasy. Woukd never use again

Used to be a regular of Hot Wok as they are local but started trying other restaurants when using Just Eat, now decided to come back to Hot Wok as we've decided they are amongst the very best of the local Chinese restaurants. Brilliant service & delivered on time.

This is the best restaurant in my eyes that we go to, and always stick to this restaurant, amazing food. Good sizes restaurant calls up if there’s anything, lovely people there, but, there could be abit more meat in the for example- rice, chow main, that’s all, but other then that BRILLIANT!

This restaurant has got considerably worse over a period of 12 months. Tonight I ordered crispy chilli chicken which is a standard dish throughout the UK, I received what could only be described as sweet and sour chicken balls in a spicy sauce. There was no crispy chicken to it at all. I will be now looking elsewhere in the future.

food was delivered on time but took a while to arrived — over an hour and half after I ordered. I appreciate sometimes places are busy, but also no one wants to me waiting that long

Food left in hot bag for me to take out, not put on the ground, very appreciated. Lovely, tasty food though the egg fried rice was more like boiled rice with egg no depth of flavour.

We've used Hot Wot many times over the years. Food is always spot on, never had a bad meal from them.

Turned up 1hr 15 minutes early! Not ready to eat at that early time. Apart from that was OK, could do with more chilli in the Singapore noodles.

All good apart from food had leaked in bag and every container was covered in sauce and I had to clean everything before we could eat.

Awful food, burnt and extremely greasy! Restaurant Took food back but still haven’t received a refund.. never ordering from here again!!

They are very sneeky at Hot Wok. They give a ridiculously long delivery time and so are never late. Food though is very good and hot.

Starters were ok. Crispy duck already chopped up which Is not ideal. The peking spare ribs like ribs soups, very watery, mangetout was over cooked, again it’s like soup and soggy! Hofun was very disappointing, taste burn and don’t look appetising either. I won’t order again.

Food was great but we planned around the delivery time of 9pm and the food arrived at 8.02 not long after I ordered
