Hot Wok in Wiltshire

We use the Hot Wok whenever we get a Chinese takeaway. The takeaway has been in business since the 1980's so we can get the food we need at a reasonable price. We usually get them to deliver and the service is really good as well.

Not our usual chinese, but my sister and brother inlaw treated us and wow did they ever. Was ready to collect in no time at all and piping hot. Every dish was excellent especially the pork sweet and sour balls 😋 👌

We ordered for collection and the food was ready in 10 minutes, still piping hot when we got it home. We had egg fried rice, beef chow mein, sweet and sour chicken balls and Hong Kong style and barbecued spare ribs. A little pricier than what we're used to (we were visiting the area), however, the portions were pretty big and the food was tasty, so it was worth the spend. We would definitely use this takeaway if in the area again.

Tried it for the first time, food was amazing compared to any Chinese take away in Warminster and westbury, only down side is cash only, customer service is not the best apart from that really enjoyed the foods.

I normally don't leave reviews or if I leave a review is will be negative but HOT WOK really impressed me . Very well prices, very large portions, took 5 minutes to get 7 meals ready. I normally would eat mine, my wife's and my Son's leftover but this time we barely ate 1/3 of it leaving the rest for the next day. Chicken balls were very nice, fresh and crispy , and everything else was really nice ! Would come back again for sure

Recently moved to a nearby village and this is our new go to takeaway! Possibly the best Chinese we’ve ever had. Friendly staff and never a wait even with us living out of their normal delivery range.

Really lovely take away. Possibly the best I’ve ever had. Quick service, freshly made food. Food tasted really nice. We were visiting the area so we were unsure where to choose, very glad we chose here! Highly recommend.

I picked up at Hot Wok takeaway, food was ready on arrival, very quick I thought, took just over 10 mins from phoning. I had Singapore Vermicelli with pork which was so hot (spicy hot) that you could not taste anything else, more rice noodles hardly any pork. My Partner had House Special chow Mein which she said was okay, had pork, a little beef but only one king prawn! We shared a crispy shredded beef in chilli sauce for the first time which tasted awful, no beef, tasted like deep fried beef fat and smothered in an oily sauce, not crispy at all, soggy and all stuck together, we threw half of it away. Very disappointing.

Good food for the price, a little bland for me but still enjoyable.

The worst Chinese I have ever eaten , we’ll actually I didn’t eat it it was bland and soggy and tasteless, I would never eat there again and would definitely not recommend.

Scored midrange on atmosphere, but it's the friendliest Chinese takeaway in and around warminster, with fabulous service and the food is gorgeous.

Order 3 dishes this evening. Firstly order was incorrect but was rectified by the staff. When I got home 2 out of the 3 dishes were inedible. Beef soft noodles were slimy with anemic pieces of beef and the Won Ton Soup tasted dreadful. Wouldn't order again.

We regularly order from these guys. We have tried many different Chinese take aways but this without a doubt is the best we have ever had. Authentic and delicious. Highly recommend them!

Our family absolutely loves the food from Hot Wok. It's always still hot by the time we get it home. We've tried a number of dishes over the last two years and haven't been disappointed yet. Every time my extended family come to visit they always insist on getting a Chinese from Hot Wok, they haven't found one where they live that can beat it. Would give it 10 stars if we could!

I can highly recommend the friendly and quick service at hot wok. I have lived in Malaysia and I can whole heartedly say the food at hot wok was as good as the food I had in the restaurants in Lumut and pankor island. I will definitely come back to hot wok again. Thank you Hot Wok!

Avoid eating there. I was passing by today and poped in for a duck with mushrooms, after few hours feeling really bad and womited everything off. Avoid and save your health…

Absolutely love this Chinese! Lots of flavour and lovely fresh food, I wish they took card payments though you would make so much more money and we would order way more frequently!

I ordered a Shredded Beef Meal takeaway to be delivered at 900pm. The takeaway arrived on time and was one of the Best Shredded Beef I have tasted. Excellent staff congratulations Hot Wok.

I had a prawn curry and it was just delicious; brilliant customer service, efficient and so worth the money!

Not normally one to leave reviews but this chinese was awful!!! We are Staying in warminster for a few days and thought I would treat us to a Chinese. I looked at reviews for the ones in warminster and this chinese was rated the best out of them all so thought we would give it ago. Wish we didn't waste our money!!! It was all very Greasy and stodgy. The rice dishes werent fully cooked and it was more like boiled rice than fried rice!! Chow mein was really stodgy and greasy and the sauces had a thick layer of fat on top. Also the Prawn crackers were stale like they were a day old!! Honestly wouldn't recommend this Chinese at all!!!

We placed an order based on their very friendly website and it should habe come to £36. When it arrived we were told the website is out of date and the price was 45.40. We only ordered 7 dishes for 3 people. This same order in other Take Aways is around £36! Will never buy from them again. New to the area.

Always friendly staff who serve you with a smile. Really great tasting food. We keep coming back here which is why I would highly recommend.

Recommended by a work colleague. Had a lovely meal delivered, all bar one dish..Kung Po chilli pork, besides 2 bits of tough pork, the rest was fat only...won't be ordering that again, went in the bin. But the other 2 dishes were lovely. Will definitely go back, just avoid any pork on menu.

Every time we order from this place there is always confusion! They always get the order wrong some how! And then asked me to pay the price difference for their own mistake! The girl on the phone is rude and very blunt. She should not be responsible for the phones with such poor customer service! My phone call got handed around to 4 different people and took 20 minutes just to sort out one dish! I’ve always given the benefit of the doubt and tried again but I will never eat here again and I will be telling my friends and family to avoid at all costs. Just pure disappointment.

Although we have been on lock down Alex and Ling continue to provide great food great service and a great price. Have tried others but always go back to Hot Wok. Keep up the great work. Rich

Food was yummy, hot and was delivered to the door. Due to coronavirus the safety was in place, can’t praise Hot Wok enough for delivering this service whilst many can’t.

As I dont live far away I visit quite regularly. If you wish a dish to be a little or less spicy they will cater for your needs. Always happy with their food,service and friendliness.

In Hot Wok have a good food, good service and the prices is not too expensive. In Hot Wok you can try real Chinese style food

Best chinese takeaway I have ever eaten, faultless

An enjoyable range of dishes that can be adjusted to taste by asking, well done Team Hot Wok. I had Won Ton soup and the dumplings were delicious and tge broth delightful. The curry sauce is a favourite of mine and compliments the choice of meat or fish.Always a good choice if one is in the mood for fast, fun flavoursome fusions of food.

Just a bag of chips... I thought £2 for a small portion was a bit expensive until I saw the portion size. Large must be enough for a family of 5-6

Never had a bad meal from this takeaway. They seem to cook slightly differently as nothing is greasy and the portions are excellent. Good value for money and cooked fresh so phone ahead if you can't wait 10 mins.

Very friendly and it is worth going there, as it is the best takeaway in Warminster.

I love the Hot Wok because all the food is extremely fresh and cooked from scratch to order. Although it offers many of the same menu items as the traditional Chinese takeaway, the experience is completely different from the typical Chinese takeaway food you get in most places (i.e. everything made up from catering pack sauces and flavourings).

You will often see Chinese Students from Warminster Boarding School ordering food here so what better accolade can be awarded to chinese take away in England.

Absolute garbage, bland sugary msg laden rubbish. Worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever tasted. Never have I been so disappointed by take away food.

Went in when they were closing....and got excellent service.....have had curries several times but they excelled tonight. Had ran out of large pancake roll so they made one from scratch.....also eating delicious curry made to order. Well done team Wok.

Had delivered to local travelodge. Watch the charges! No rice included apparently with the curry according to the delivery driver. Menu doesn't state if it is or not delivery driver justified increased charge and was told different when I phoned to query. After a long day out I don't need to be checking prices and be told different stories.

Chips good. Fried rice undercooked and swimming in oil. Crispy shredded chicken in chilli sauce bland and soggy. Should be renamed on the menu as strips of rubber in a puzzling sauce that's neither spicy or sweet. £11 wasted.
