My food took 90 minutes to be delivered and when it got to me it was luke warm and I'm missing my spring rolls...

Went in for takeaway as staying in Trowbridge and 2 locals recommended it

Never disappointed with the food and service. Took a while to find a decent Chinese take away. Been using for past 5 years. Would recommend.

Service is 0 don’t touch them if you like to have delivery as food get missed off Get told when they have a driver he will bring it out so rest will get cold

Phone order placed spoke to Isabella who was very helpful. Picked up our order after 10 minutes (large order for 6 people) was piping hot and delicious.

i was a bit wary of new owners' food being as good as the old owners who had been our fave chinese takeaway for at least 35 yrs..but i was pleasantly surprised as our food has always been good.. easy to order our food on the app..prompt delivery.friendly delivery person each time.. cant fault it..never had a bad meal with these owners..recommended..

I Received the wrong order, I contacted them back promptly to ask if this mistake can be rectified only to be told “there is nothing wrong with their food” I went hungry tonight and I am now left with an even bitter taste in my mouth because of this so called food establishment. Needless to say I will be recommending people go and order elsewhere.

Avoid foodwise at all costs, clearly the cooking of the meal is nor done to order... im writing this, on the throne, were ive been most of the night. Cause some idiot gave me a warmed up singapore fried rice.. what could have been there for days. Only plus thing was the loveky lady, who served us. Enjoy your book!

Has been my regular for just over a year now. Quick delivery - can be slower on weekend at peak time but that’s to be expected & even then food arrives hot. Good portions and good prices. Haven’t ordered a bad dish. 10/10

It always amazes me how many people do not look at the hygiene status when ordering a takeaway. Believe me, if you knew what a 4 or below is, you wouldn't eat in any of the places! Good job this is a 5 hygiene rating and serves great food and quick delivery. Also, I would suggest to order direct and not through any delivery apps as there's literally a £10 difference when ordering from the restaurant directly!

Haven't eaten a Chinese take away from Trowbridge for years because none had a food hygiene rating higher than 2 stars. After a recommendation from a friend I looked China Garden up online, the 5 star food hygiene rating was there. Ordered over the phone, the helpful and clear staff gave me a collection time and I was ready! The store was clean, the staff were polite and friendly and the food came on time. The meal was delicious with proper high quality chicken breast and prawns and well cooked tasty egg fried rice. Well done China Garden! We will be back!

Lovely food and excellent service. As a new customer I thoroughly enjoyed the salt and pepper king prawns alongside the chicken curry. I would say ordering on the weekend is always going to be busier than in the week so it was expected the food took longer to be prepared and delivered. This wasn’t a problem though as food was delicious and hot :)

Good food but they're always late with their deliveries. Ordered from them four times now and they have never been on time. Always had to call to find out where my delivery is, which is frustrating.

Amazing food and great service. The staff were very helpful and friendly on the phone and the delivery service was excellent. My food arrived very quickly and i was over the moon with the food itself. I placed a large order and even then i was amazed with the quality and fast pace in which the food was in and delivered. I highly recommend the chicken satay skewers and rice noodles which were delicious and my family loved the beef chow mein and bbq spare ribs. Definitely will be ordering again!! 😄😄

KungPo chicken had no heat, was battered, and very chewy, in a gloopy, bland sweet and sour sauce. Salt and pepper prawns chewy too with greasy coating and strange taste, like they’d been washed in Fairy, covered in wilted greasy fried onion. Spring roles very greasy with v stingy filling. Oh bring back the former owners!! On looking at other reviews seems like everyone likes curry sauce, chips, chow mein and chicken balls…. Hey ho. Off to Frome we go 🤣

I have eaten from many Chinese in my 50+ years but I must say I am thoroughly looking forward to my next one from china garden. I have tried the ribs , mixed meat chow mein , mixed meat curry and many of there other meat dishes. The ribs are to die for the meat falls off the bone and the portion sizes are generous. Drivers are great also

Since new owners taken over food has improved massively, good vegetarian options (vegetarian curry & vegetarian chow main ) best. Fast delivery with great delivery drivers

Since its been taken over, the curry sauce is much nicer. And the food comes out nice and quick even with no pre order.

First time trying china Garden well they didn't disappoint fast delivery food was hot tried the curry pancakes they're lush. Best shredded chilli beef I've tasted my husband love the mixed meat curry will be back soon

The sauce and food was all excellent apart from the beef, it was so chewy. Cheapest cuts of processed beef obviously. But the sauce was lovely and every else was 10 out of ten

Best Chinese I’ve been to. We came for a visit through Trowbridge and stopped by to get a Chinese from China Garden and it was the best one. We’ve had. We really liked the crispy chilli beef dish and their chow mein was better than any other we’ve had. It was great value. We got so much for our money. And we don’t live in Trowbridge but will definitely go back there to get our Chinese!!

Yum yum! This is by far the BEST chinese takeaway in Trowbridge. I tried the curried spring rolls tonight for the first time and they were delicious. My son had king prawn chow mein and it was packed with prawns. They said 30 minutes and it was here in 20!

Fabulous new owners, taken over at the end of March. They have come from devizes where they had a successful business. Really good quality food, very hygienic and very tasty! I had chicken chow mein and it was so delicious- not at all greasy. Very friendly staff, very smiley and helpful.

Ordered online after receiving a menu through the letterbox. Very simple to register which will help for future. Half an hour for delivery which was fantastic and followed delivery instructions which the likes of Uber and deliveroo don't. Food was delicious (especially the chicken balls) and great portions... will easily provide two or three meals. Will definitely order again

Don’t bother. Ingredients were raw, tasteless and very disappointing. Would not go here again. Got a take away, years ago this was a brilliant take away, notice on window says under new management. Awful do not bother

Ordered a takeaway from here and it was terrible! This Chinese takeaway has gone right down hill food was rushed curry was water down a lot! Spare ribs is the worst I’ve ever had. I won’t be going back though I’ve used it a few times. Don’t waste your money.

Sunday takeaway, awful spring roll, dry as a bone chicken. Plus side the pork curry was good. At these prices I expect the food to be good not mediocre

Dead ant in sweet and sour sauce, hair INSIDE the chicken ball. First I was offered free chicken balls next time I visit however I asked for a full refund as I won’t be returning. Huge shame, but hugely apologetic, lovely lady on the phone.

First time ordering from here. Big long hair in my rice! Food is past sell by date then reheated!

Only had one delivery from here so far but were very impressed with the quality. Our last “go to” Chinese Takeaway has let us down recently so the China Garden is likely to become our new favourite.

Context:I'm not a big fan of Chinese food, so something has to really stand out for me to 'rave' about it, but here we are. Really nicely cooked, great flavour and a warm welcome. Have used twice since new owners recently took over, and it's already our go-to Chinese takeaway!

Staff friendly, food extremely terrible, chowmein, couple of pieces of chicken and very dry noodles, and sweet and sour sauce, is just awful, the need to up there game. Do not recommended and will never go back!

First time I’ve ordered here, very poor quality, the ribs were 90% fat, absolutely disgusting, straight in the bin!

This is hands down the best Chinese in Trowbridge. I have a number of dietary requirements of which I messaged through Facebook and received an immediate response. Upon visiting later that evening to pick up my takeaway Simon had created me my very own menu highlighting dishes that could be catered to my requirements. Always greeted with a warm welcome when phoning and visiting the shop. I have recommended to friends and family in the area.

I've got to be honest, i was looking for a Chinese on a Monday night, not the best night TBH, i live 6 miles away from here and pulled in for a meal. Plain Chow Main and crispy chilli beef. It was awsome, i did ask for Szechuan Chicken but they didn't cook that.,but hey ho it was new Chinese. I'll be coming back to this place. 👍

Our take away arrived 20 minutes early, not a problem although had specified a time Chips and chicken balls for my daughter were awful, as were pancake rolls , cold greasy and unappetising Duck in black bean sauce was tender and ok, if a little bland Chicken chowmein was tasteless , chicken slimy Prawns in oyster sauce and ginger were average, very few tiny prawns, even complimentary prawn crackers were soft Extremely disappointing as had ordered from here a few years ago and was good, too bad to put down to a bad night, won’t be ordering from here again

Had a meal from here recently and I found it was very nice, I have been going here for more than 40years now and knew the present owners Mother and Father back in the day. The Food was very nice and is probably the best Chinese Takeaway in Trowbridge and the surrounding areas. Not sure how it works but I find it hard to understand how a Chinese Takeaway that has been in operation for many many years only have 17 reviews? anyway we will be going back very soon. Thanks

My family has been buying delicious food from Simon and his family for around 30 years now, and I can honestly say it is the best Chinese takeaway for miles around. I don't live in Trowbridge any more, but I still buy from here as it is so much better than any of my more local takeaways! The Chow Meins are made with fine noodles which are delicious, and I highly recommend the salt and chilli chicken.

Have been using them for 25yrs plus and their food has always been excellent, friendly and polite service. Can’t fault them , in my opinion they are the best in Trowbridge. Highly recommend.

I ordered food from China Gardens on a recent family visit and it was like a trip down memory lane; my parents used to order food from them on special occasions and after a gap of some 20 years I'm pleased to say the food was Just as I remembered it: delicious! The fast and friendly service and reasonable prices also haven't changed - we had a full meal for 8 people delivered in less than 30 minutes for less than 50 pounds. Thank you China Gardens!

Just sold me a spring roll which actually smelt rotten when I cut it open. I've been disappointed with their food before but never this badly. Also, the mushrooms in my meal are quite obviously way past their best. I don't appreciate paying good money for such a poor meal & I won't be going back.

Literally just had a special curry form here...nothing special...tasteless sauce, four prawns, processed chicken and pieces if tiny chopped ham!!! At least the dog enjoyed it.

Lovely meal, good flavour and good sized portions - only spoilt by the huge MSG hangover the next morning! And we had an alcohol free night!! Would buy again - hoping they can reduce the MSG content 😜
