Came in based off of the reviews on Google. Me and my wife were ignored for 7 mins at the counter while staff had seen we were in there. 1* will stick to Noble House from now on.

Look I’m not a professional but when I was younger I worked in a Chinese restaurant and I would like to say that this is not Chinese food your eating: Frozen prawns dropped into the food at the end. Curry powder curry Beef is processed Egg fu yung shocking!! Fresh chips…. Double cooked!!! How old were they? Come on guys would you eat it bet you wouldn’t so why should we!!! I would not recommend food from here.

I've been getting my takeaways from here whenever I'm in the area. The food is always tasty, consistent and the portions are so generous that I'd be fed for my work lunches. The interior has been refreshed. Super accessible, park in the Sainsbury's car park

Fallen out of love with chop suey house was my new fav but after two sharing boxes that were very greasy over cooked and practically inedible. Takeaways are a treat more so with increased prices latley, need to put more attention to detail in getting things right if you wouldn't eat it why send it out!

Had to wait about half an hour for a takeaway, annoying.

Stopped in for a quick bite after visiting the skatepark from out of town. Service was quick and friendly. Only criticism is that, being a cash only business, menu prices are often in odd figures. I only had egg fried rice which was £3.05 so I was left with a pocket full of change. £3 would have been easier for all involved.

Ordered a takeaway for my wifes birthday treat. Was told they were busy, so delivery would be an hour/ hour and a half. Two and three quarter hours later it turns up. I promptly sent it back, not knowing how long it had been sitting around. My evening was ruined. They need to be honest with their customers if they cannot provide a reasonable service on certain evenings. Totally unacceptable and appalling service.

Very disappointing. Meals were either very salty or too sweet, impossible to eat. Had to throw away most of it. Chicken balls batter was raw, although chicken inside was cooked well, still couldn't eat it. One of the orders was given out incorrectly, ordered apple fritters but found out at home they put Banana fritters. Big waste of food and money.

First time users and we were not disappointed, food and service was excellent. The quality was top notch and we will definitely use again. Beware that it's cash only but well worth going to the cash point beforehand.

And I've tried them all, some good, some bad, but only this one has the honour of being above my mother on the phone speed dial. I've spent more in Chop Suey House than I did on my last car. If I ever marry (again), Chop Suey House would be my ideal caterers. Thow away whatever junk you're currently stuffing into your face, and start ordering from here. Become cultured, amaze your dinner guests, and experience the taste sensation of the west country. My partner loves it, my children love it, and my cats love it. I even put some leftovers in my flower beds, and sure enough interesting things are beginning to grow. Chop Suey House, Melkshams only establishment to offer true rejuvenation of the mind, body and soul. Delivered for only £1.50.

Best Chinese in Melksham, used many times and never had a problem. Food is always great quality and you get your moneys worth in quantity! If I could give a higher rating than 5* it would be a 10* every time!

We just moved into the area and we were so happy to have fallen onto Chop Suey House. It is absolutely delicious, it was ready so fast and packaging was generous and neat. This is definitely the best Chinese we have had since arriving in the UK!

Fantastic food, salt and chilli box is a very good sharer, one of the only places I've found near here that do it.

Fantastic food, great portion sizes and reasonable prices, plus they deliver. The complete package. Only one negative is that they don't seem to have their own site with a menu, although it is available elsewhere online.

Great Chinese with good food and cheap prices. Only reason I can't give 5 stars, you can either: - order in person (but often they answer the phone right in front of you while talking to them). - or you can phone your order though (if you can get through on phone). Wait times are sometimes long at over 2 hours. The food is too good that they get too busy. Would be good if you can text orders through instead of spending 40 mins during lockdown to get through and then wait another hour + for the food. Order ahead of when you want food.

Absolutely terrible meal on my most recent and LAST vist to this takeaway. Have used this takeaway on and off for about 7 years. The quality that was once there now long gone.

Rubbish. No service, ambience or quality food.

Recently just moved to Holt and have been looking for a Chinese that's local an decided to give this place a go, definitely will be going back here! Food was amazing, it was hot an tasted brilliant, massive portions which is what everyone loves!! Customer service was excellent!! And was ready in no time! Deserves 5 Stars all day long!

Had a take away early Saturday evening I have to say the best take away Chinese I have ever had can’t believe not tried this before

All the food was bland and dry with no flavour, chips were overdone. Ordered a chicken chow main and the amount of chicken in it was minuscule with the noodles being dry. Avoid at all costs.

Great value for money and great food

Nice food, with a normally quick service and larger than normal portions ( plenty left over for breakfast lol). They deliver as well at a reasonable price and out to all the local villages. Best in Melksham.

Brill Large pancake roll made in house and a portion of chips. £3.80 And it was very tasty. Lovely chips as well.

Superb food, fast service and reasonable pricing

Used the Chop Suey House on many occasions for home delivery. Mainly on Saturday a group of us order over the phone. The delivery is always prompt food is hot and as yet no complaints as ordered and enjoyable.

Would give this place a zero if I could, absolute waste of time, money and effort. Horrendous is not the word the food was like dog food or worse, chewy chicken which was like grissle and stuck together noodles with bottom of the barrel meat. Basically yuck!!!

We have always gone to chop suey house , but after tonight's meal we will not be going back. Rice -overcooked as was the chicken balls and chips. Disgusting sauce too . One of which was not what we asked.

Great menu, always on time when asked, delivery quick and still hot. Very nice stuff and no wonder they are are so busy, also cos they are busy you know food is fresh.

Best value and tastiest Chinese in Melksham by far. Pretty much double the portions you will get from anywhere else and with tasty, warm food delivered as quickly as you'd expect. The pancake roll is massive - the dive of 6 you'd get elsewhere and all of the food is well cooked and not over cooked. The staff are really friendly and the prices are very fair considering the huge portions. They may not be on the online ordering sites but you'll get the best food from here for sure.
