Best chippy in small heath by far, fresh food and tasty with amazing value for money, plenty of seating available aswel.. 10/10

The food was cold, dry and horrible i ordered chicken donner they gave dry cut up chicken tikka instead the chips were stale. The meat donner was rubbery and full of salt, burger meal was horrible the buns was hard and dry was not even edible, and the price of meals are very expensive not worth going there at all, I don’t mind paying a high price if the quality of the food was there but its not worth paying so much and when food is not even edible, all the meals had to go straight in the bin it ruined our take away night.

Customer service is the best here. Uncle used to deliver to us at midnight and used to cooperate with us and deliver it through the window so me and my siblings wouldn’t get in trouble. I don’t come as often any more but when I do, food and service is 10/10. Uncle always treats us with respect. Always recommend this shop.

Absolutely poor… I asked for a half a chicken meal but can’t get two leg pieces!! They forced me to buy what ever they could be bothered making!! Very poor!!!

Still sell coke and pepsi, so we won't be ordering from there again. Instead go the other places that don't

Visited by chance as one of the local restaurants that we normally use was busy. Pleasantly surprised, food quality was good and reasonably priced. Good customer service and clean spacious dining area.

I will not recommend it to people who are not from the same country(( I mean if you are not white or Pakistani)). We had asked for our food and they serviced other people come after us and they gave it after I went to ask for my food (( even with your money you can find race)). The food was very cold and expensive. We asked for a large chicken downer but it looks like a medium not even enough for the age of 12 years. I will not go back there. Thanks a lot

Been going to this place for year's, the guy charges different for same thing but it did not warrant a review as the food was decent. Anyway visited recently after good year to find burger meal was now £6.50 which is ok now everything gone up in price. But if you were going to be charging that then atleast dont be serving half cooked fries. Big hygiene rating of 4 on the wall but the Birmingham City Council website say they are awaiting inspection since 13th July 2020

Had their grilled Chicken burger and it was 10/10... Definitely visit again !! Recommended 👍🏻

Grilled chicken burger is top tier as are their seekh kebabs they do lamb ones too which not many places do nowadays. Old school place none of the social media hype just good food.

The place looks lovely now, the staff are very helpful and great service, the food is OK the sheesh kebabs were decent, the lamb chops were over cooked and couldn't get through it, the fries were OK and naan was nice. Tea was nice

Looking around Coventry Road, on a wet windy night, for a place to eat, stumbled onto this place, and Wow!!! The food was amazing, freshly cooked Desi style Karahi, Lamb biriani, fresh tandoori naan, Tarka Dall and so on, the service was very good, the gentleman who served us was very kind and efficient, the other gentleman, who was behind the counter, was very helpful, Will be back next time we are visiting Birmingham.

Absolutely scammers I've been to the shop 4 different occasions each time I was charged extra the price on the menu is completely different to what they charge you it's a joke never again.

It was a good place to sit in those U shape comfortable sofas and have a chit chat with friends, the guys serving there were nice as well, it's just the pizza that wasn't as good.

Went in and paid £16.50 for masala fish and kebab in naan the fish was full of bones so I called up and asked why this is sorry we should have told you come back next time and we sort it. Called up the gaffa not there can’t do nothing. The Masala fish at £8 is the one of the most expensive in Birmingham yet it’s full of fish bones and the gaffa is so hard up he can’t replace it. And his staff then asked me what I want and then tried to charge me £3 extra for something that’s cheaper on the menu I didn’t go back not even for the free item these guys are con artist please avoid. Disgraceful and shameful.

Food is decent and as previously commented by my friend (he visited a week ago), I tend to find that this restaurant as well as other restaurants along the Coventry road do try to scam you with prices. In this restaurant alone, its happened more than 3 times so cannot be considered a mistake. Advertised prices may be inflated due to current climates, however, to try and rip people off is out of order. Be just.

This place, the food quality is really good but if you go in a group or large order then the owner will try to scam you. It happened to our group and it happened to me personally. Also my friend went yesterday and he was being scammed but when he questioned the price he was told the menu price has gone up to what’s listed. So with the new prices he calculated and found out he was originally getting scammed by a £5 difference. I no longer trust this place and won’t use or recommend it anymore. I hope the owner replies to this as I would love hear his side of the story…. If there is one. I don’t mind paying the premium price as long as it’s written and told in advance then I can make up my informed mind.

Venue is fine, food is average. Customer service is ok. As previous reviews highlight, mindful of the bill as there seems to be some hot & dicey additions added to it.... regularly.

Decent Asian place for a quick dinner

We went for a late dinner with 16 people. The staff was helpful - they moved the seatings and tables so we can all sit together. We ordered allright. We waited for the food for about 45 min. I thought: ok, they want to serve it all together sizzling hot. The order was pretty big. It wasn't the case though. Food was served bit by bit with some people waiting for 10-15 min when others were finishing their meals. They gave us 3 sets of cutlery for 16 guys and I had to ask 3 times to get more. No tissues or cups until asked for. Plastic cups. The food was nicely spiced but barely warm, served in weird looking plastic trays. My large mixed grill was only chicken shish ( I ordered lamb ) and few lamb chops. The portion of meat was size of a kids meal. I definitely suggest if you go with a group of people, go somewhere else.

The shop is lovely and clean polite friendly staff. I ordered a large donner kebab in naan with portion of chips. The donner kebab was served in a plastic small basket which I found very disappointing would much prefer a plate. The donner was bland nothing special the chips were very nice & hot..

ITS 6.45 AM AND I JUST VOMITED REALLY BAD BECAUSE OF THESE GUYS FOOD!! Ordered a donner meat and chips and a keema nan . Donner was cold and looked and smelt funny so went to the guy and said to put it on grill cus its still cold so he did . Then when he gave it he said " the salad must of made it cold" which is the stupidist thing ive heard . I then ate the food and didnt taste great and keema nan i dont know how the keema was slightly undercooked didnt even have more than quarter of the nan. Honestly terrible experiance as i am feeling really bad right now . Vomited really bad , never going back

HOT & SPICY open for business again. I've always liked their chicken burger meals. They never let their standards fall. They have a had a fresh renovation looks lovely. Their cheese burgers are also generally well made. Next time will try and take some pics. But still 5 stars as been coming here for nearly 20 years and their standards have been the same.

Always get the cheeseburger meals from here, cooked to perfection. Their deluxe burger is really good too it’s got the chicken and beef patty. Good service from the guys and been a regular for years.

They leave the food on the grill for so long and serve you it burnt , also make prices up as they go along.

(Never ever again) won't be ordering again due to the fact the food was terrible. Hollow fries, pizza dough was dead peeling away from the bottom and the the tomatoes base tasted like pasta source and chilli source tasted bitter make your food tastes bitter also.

Just get the "chicken grilled burger meal" , tasty.

The breast burger is very delicious and very filling, definitely worth the money. I tries a pizza called Apna Pizza the other day, bare in mind I had never eaten a pizza from here before. Let me say this, the pizza was really delicious not greasy, nice and thick and spicy just the way I like it. My recommendations for what to buy at Hot N Spicy are as follows; 1. Chicken Burger- trie with extra chilly and cheese (you won't regret it!) 2. Apna Pizza and ask for thick and crunchy, worth every penny. 2. Their fries are good too, their chicken pieces in nan are just really tender and filled with spices that will enlighten your taste buds. The owner is a good lad, and so are the other workers. Nice eat out spot if you ask me.

I’m really sorry. The food must be good but the the hygiene level is atrocious. Like what the actual hell. A little scrub here and there would go a long way. You have moths coming into the place. The chicken left on display has mold coming out of it. Like you have to get rid of old food but it’s been left there. Feels like over two weeks and that’s minimal. Really need to improve on the hygiene of a food establishment. Like I said must be lovely people and good food. But the the hygiene is unbelievable..
