Aweful no spice in the food so bland I have better microwave dishes . Tried to give us a 25 pound voucher . We gave it back . Took 25% off the bill it was still not enough . Never setting foot in there again

Decided to try the Sunday special with my son. Mixed kebab starters & a Pilli Pilli & a Buna for mains. No alcohol license, but they let us take our own & even supplied us with a glass & ice. Excellent tasty food & generous portions - definitely recommend it.

First time visiting this restaurant last week have to say we were very disappointed. Food quality was very poor and one of our lamb dish was heavily spiced. Service was also rushing. Not coming back.

This was the first meal out with family once the restaurants were allowed to open. I booked online, a very easy way and all covid rules were well respected. Staff wore mask and we were well paced away from other people. The food was delicious and served in the friendliest manner, with advice re which dishes were the most tasty, hot etc. All in all a very pleasant experience for a first time out and everyone thought the food was great. Not sure if it has changed hands, or just different member of the same family, but certainly have only praise.

Returned after easing of lockdown, place has had an extensive refurbishment, looking good! Excellent takeaway, King Prawn Chilli Masala, crispy Paratha and meaty Seek Kebab. Great balance between the right level of mouth watering spicy flavours and chilli heat - Just Yummy !!! Staff accommodating and willing to make slight adjustments to dishes to suit my love of spicy food. Look forward to booking ahead for the grand opening in May. Tucked away off Blackburn Rd, after turn off for Golf Club, apx 300m before the War memorial traffic lights.

Hot Chilli 🌶 is one of my favourite Indian restaurants for both me and my wife. We ordered a take away (our first from there) tonight, 3 different dishes all came on time and piping hot, The food and the portion size was of the same quality as eating in the restaurant. We don't normally order as the price is similar to eating in the curry house, but I wont hesitate in the future. The Old saying you get what you pay for could not be truer.

Waited over 90 mins for cold food, called the restaurant to cancel my order which they agreed, but it turned up the driver said it was complimentary, sadly they did not cancel my order nor was it complimentary, I ordered through just eat, definitely won't use this restaurant again although I have done for years and never had a problem, the man I spoke was rude, I'm very disappointed at the service I received cos a loyal customer,

Not the best experience. The staff appeared rude at times, they didn’t have any decent wines by the glass. I went to the loo and the stairs where filthy! Needed a real good hoover and the kitchen floor was dirty as I passed... the door was open as they relayed the food orders.. I won’t return!

Ordered a delivery last night, slightly later than ordered for but they do advise that on the website & say it's best to ring once the order is placed to get an estimated delivery time. both curries were great, loved the garlic rice & they included free poppadoms with mango chutney.

Took advantage of the ‘Eat Out Help Out’ scheme and had a meal at Hot Chilli - we were served by Nazim who was fantastic, the service was faultless, he couldn’t be more helpful. The food was also delicious, very tasty, especially the Ginger Sizzler Starter dish. Will definitely be returning!

Me and my partner ate here on a Saturday evening in August 2020. From arrival all of the staff were lovely, very attentive and friendly. There’s sanitiser on arrival and floor markings regarding social distancing too, and also on every table there’s a hand sanitiser bottle, which I thought was a nice touch. Our details were also taken for track and trace. I felt safe eating here given the current situation. Nazim took our order promptly and the food arrived nice and quickly too. Food was gorgeous, big generous portions and it was so tasty. During the whole of our visit Nazim looked after us -he made sure we were okay and checked on us for drinks etc. He was nice and chatty too. He’s a lovely server, a credit to the restaurant. I would definitely recommend a visit here, and we’ll be back to visit again.

Tonight, on the eve of our Golden Wedding, and because we had family staying, we ordered a takeaway. All went until we started to cut into the tandoori chicken thigh. It was almost raw and put us off the rest of the meal. My daughter rang the restaurant, not for a replacement or reimbursement, but merely giving feedback for the restaurant. The person she spoke to was defensive and not at all apologetic saying it had never happened before etc etc. in fact throughout the whole conversation there was no apology at all. It was only towards the end of the conversation when he realised she didn't want anything but was merely giving feedback, that his tone changed. In future we will go elsewhere.

I ordered a takeaway during the pandemic. The order was ready early, the staff were friendly and polite and the food was delicious!

Ordered a delivery at 6pm for a 7.30pm arrival thinking 1.5 hours notice was plenty of time. At 8pm I called and they said the order was on the way. By 10pm it had still not arrived. I phoned again and the person who answered the phone said he couldn’t find my order and put the phone down on me!!!! I basically waited over 2.5 hours for a delivery which never arrived. Absolute appalling customer service and I DO NOT RECOMMEND

We had a really delicious chicken korma and chicken tikka masala. My husband is really that fussed on Indian and he really enjoyed so I highly recommend.

Went to this restaurant few week for friends birthday. The food was poor quality and customer service was lacking. The food was very bland, ridiculously overpriced. First and last visit.

Lovely place,great atmosphere, staff really friendly and make you feel very welcome nothing is too much trouble. A couple had starters and we all had curries which were very tasty and then a couple of our party had deserts as well. Overall a lovely night,I can’t stress how good the food is. Vegetarian options available and they are very accommodating with allergies and intolerances.

First time here, to sum this restaurant up briefly, service was great, waiters were friendly and quick, nice atmosphere inside, food was great, popadoms on the table within minutes, onion bhajis were excellent, chicken tikka madras was hot hot! But excellent, will attend again, reasonably priced and good portion sizes.

Amazing! Accommodated disabled access by sitting us down stairs. Food was excellent and Ali and team waiter service was the best. Literally went out of their way to make it a fantastic night. 100% recommend and will be visiting again soon. Thankyou all so much.

Good food from start to finish we all had the Sunday special at 13.95(popadoms n starter n main course n rice/chips or nan bread) plenty of choice and we had great service and the draught kingfisher larger was good would recommend a visit cannot understand why a lot of bad reviews for this restaurant this is our fifth visit here and food/service has always been good

Shame I am regular customer at this restaurant. I can not believe when Bolton news published last week saying this place got only 2* on food and hygiene. It is warning for us that this place is not safe to eat anymore. I wonder how dirty their kitchen is. Not going any more.

Disappointing experience as we came first time on New years Eve dispite seeing them with 2 star on food and hygiene. As I heard they won award I thought I would give them try. I have to say service took long time and didn't taste right either. The toilet was also dirty.

Went at the weekend the food was worse than average. The lamb dish we had tasted very strange, flavourless and hard. We didn't finish our meal. The service was also poor. Not coming again.

Had a Hot Chill takeaway at the weekend. Food was tasty , however I had a 11/2hr wait for collection after my order was placed . Restaurant was very busy but whilst I waited for the food I noted it wasn’t just takeaway orders that were delayed ; people who had table reservations also were waiting some time. I appreciate it’s a sign of a popular restaurant but really you will loose customers !

For one reason or another it's been a while since we visited this rather brilliant restaurant. The menu has been much improved since we last visited and OMG the choice is unbelievable.

We ordered a chicken tikka rogan josh, chicken jalfrezi and mushroom rice. I can honestly say this was some of the worst food, service and staff attitude I’ve ever experienced. The “tika” was just boiled chicken and when asked the waiter to explain, he said that I was in the wrong and because there was skewer holes in the meat, therefore it was tikka. The rice was rock hard, as if it had been reheated, burned or microwaved, I was told that I didn’t know what I was talking about, that it was just crunchy onions so accept it! This was just one aspect of the whole meal experience, very negative staff trying to palm off poor quality food with arrogance. When we questioned the quality, we were made out to be fools and that their style of food was authentic and the rest of the north West in fact the world was wrong . The staff are so arrogant and rude. The bathrooms are absolutely filthy.

Came here 6.5 years ago had a very poor curry but after seeing they’d won a National award and the bbc north west feature,decided to give it another go,Went on a very quiet Thursday night,service was fine but so disappointed with the curry,extremely bland,no taste whatsoever in our pathia or tandoori,won’t be coming again no matter how many more awards they win.

Came on the weekend and it wasn't that great. The starter was actually alright and had a little flavour to it. But the curry was awful. Did not enjoy it at all. May give another try in the future we will see!

Visited on a Tuesday evening, fairly quiet, friendly welcome, good service, top class food. This was our first visit, but will not be our last. Highly recommended.

I come try this place after reading on Bolton news. P Service we had no humour and borderline rude. The starter were bit late acceptable when busy. There was huge delay after starter. The curry was oily, greasy and meat was chewy. Worst meal this year. After when got home suffered from vomit attacks - possibly coincidence. Never again.

Heard it had won an award so made a visit . Staff friendly efficient and helpful . Meal was fine nothing outstanding about it however . Went to the downstairs toilets it looks like it needs a lick of paint in that department

Visited here last night after wanting to for ages after driving past for years. It recently won an award so we thought we actually might as well try it as we love our indian food. When we arrived it was very busy but they were quick to seat us really given how busy they were. I must note the seats at the side are big booths and they could fit more custom if they just got smaller tables. We ordered food and it came quite quickly. The starters we had were lovely, the sheekh kebab was so tasty and the meat so soft. It was delicious. We ordered the grandad special for main and that was lovely food so tasty it was very aromatic and the chicken was pulled chicken and it just melts in your mouth. Would highly recommend and would return again (as we live in Darwen so not far to go).

They have won an award apparently, and with that comes more custom and higher expectations. They can’t handle either and I have to seriously query how on Earth they won the ‘award’. The food is poor, no depth of flavour like you expect from an Indian and to top it off one of the waiters was extremely rude. If the above sounds like your bag or you just like throwing your money away then this is the place for you...

We went to this restaurant after seeing them on news for our anniversary. Not nice, Over rated and extremely poor Indian food. We waited very very long time to get served dispit reminding them two times It was only warm and oily. Very disappointed.

Where can I start, I have only come to this restaurant after seeing them on BBC news. The place is already can't manege with the people they got inside. We have waited more then hours for our food. The food was not what we expected it was tasteless with no flavors. The toilet area is also dirty. Sadly never again.

Staff at table welcoming on getting your money. Reservation service very poor. Food poor tried grandads menu too much salt, requested vinega,had ran out. Desert menu no go ( reburb) Will not re visit why awarded is behond myself. Menu online appealing get there add £3 ,waste of visit

We have been eating here since it opened and it just gets better and better. The food is the match of the Cinnamon Club in London with superb friendly service. If you don’t like or appreciate this place then the problem is with you. The owners set out to do something differently and they have achieved it.

Hot Chilli has apparently just won a national award. Indeed, that was the primary reason for booking this weekend, although we've been going regularly since it opened.

Went to Hot Chilli Monday evening for birthday meal. First time we've been and weren't disappointed. Service was excellent without being too fussy, the waiter explained the descriptions on the menu, the food we ordered was cooked to perfection.

Will not be returning. Came this restaurant this weekend and it was poor service from the staff. The food was not of good standard as I was expecting...

A former colleague took me to Hot Chilli for dinner on a previous visit to Bolton earlier this year. Based on that great meal I was looking forward to dining here again on my subsequent trip last month.

Came in with a party for my friends birthday! Firstly the staff wasn't very friendly took us a long to be seated and over 1 hour for our food to arrive. Was not happy with quality of food or service. Vast improvement necessary

I come here on a regular basis and can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal. The food and staff are exceptional at all times. Worth a visit if you have never been!

Ordering is very easy and efficient -using their own app gives an additional 10% reduction in price as well! Food is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely flavours and each dish tastes individual and well blended. Always a real treat.

Hot Chilli is an Indian restaurant where you can go with your family and friends and enjoy a day out treating yourselves. The food is absolutely delicious and amazing hence the customer services are outstanding. I would definitely recommend you go and try it out.

We visit hot chilli on a regular basis and also often get a take away, both collected and delivered . The staff never fail to make you feel welcome, including our new baby! The food and service is always impeccable and they can always suggest something new to try.

Where do i start! Food and service was exceptional. Visited with a few friends and all complimented on how good the food was. I travelled 25miles to visit this place and was amazed. The menu seldom has so much to offer and was breathtaking when deciding on a dish. The restaurant has a nice cosy feeling and nothing is too much for the staff. They take pride and joy in their work and serve you with a smile. I think they got fed up serving me pints after pints! Nevertheless i would recommend to everyone to try this place it is a hidden gem. Be sure to try the taste of shundorbon it was delicious. Visited on a busy saturday night and what can i say, it was amazing. Service and food was exceptional. I am a vegetarian and the lovely waiter called niz explained all the dishes that i can have. He went above and beyond by getting the chef to make a starter which was suitable for me. I would highly recommend everyone to try this place, you wont be dissapointed!. This is my new go-to place and i will be telling all friends and family. I will be returning very soon! Thanks Hot chilli & Niz

Great food, great service, I like trying new things and they have got to know what I like and always give me great suggestions, very welcoming and always a pleasure every visit.

Been coming in here for awhile now since it was recommended to myself from a friend. I would say this is the best recommendation ever. The food is amazing, staff are friendly and that have the happy to help attitude. The menu has so many flavours to explore. When I come in I always have something different and still have not got through half the menu yet can you believe it? But I’ll keep you all update when I complete the menu. I would definitely recommend Hot Chilli to anyone who love high quality curry or is a foodie to come down and try this place out. I have visited hot chilli with family, friends and co worker and I must say the experience always has been great.

Took my son Leo out for his birthday. He loved the food. I invited all our family and everybody complimented the friendly staff and enjoyed the food and entertainment on that night. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves indian food.

We've been getting our Indian food from here for the past few years and they have never let us down! Constantly good food, wonderful staff who are always happy to recommend new dishes for us. They always remember us whether we dine in or order delivery, and make us feel like old friends.

This place never fails to deliver. We went in as a family of three, my 13 yo daughter bring particularly fussy in her eating.

Never once have we had a bad experience at this great and authentic resteraunt. The food is delicious and the service is equally as good. The hosts are the kind of people who can never do enough for you. If you like your Indian cuisine this is perfect. From your curries to you kebabs and poppadoms.

We had a take away from here at the beginning of the week and it was amazing. Very tasty curry, cooked to your own taste,amazing flavours,lovely staff, friendly atmosphere and the food is always delicious. We have eaten in the restaurant and had an amazing night but the take away service they deliver or you can order to collect either way would recommend hot chilli and we will be coming back soon!!

Decided to visit here was staying at last drop village for a spa break was a Tuesday night so not to busy lovely restaurant lovely service and brilliant food but be warned the hot mix starter is HOTT however so tasty I managed the meat but couldn't manage the veg my fella said the clue was in the title he had a mix starter we had mains lamb tikka rogan josh and chicken tikka balti with rice and bread to share 2 wines and 2 pints and also a large bottle of water very reasonable for the price and service in a lovely spot too we paid and then we were served complimentary drinks on the house a wine for me and larger for him what a lovely gesture that doesn't happen very often these days we sat outside and watched the sun go down and was brought another drink of baileys thank you for a lovely evening at your restaurant and will most definatly be back even the drive from Oswaldtwistle will be worth the visit thank you Mandy and Anthony x

Had a great meal. No probs with staff or food. Unfortunately one lady took exception to us listening to the England v Nw Zealand match and came over (after it had finished) to have a go. Get back in your kennel, love! You need to not come out into public spaces if you’re taping it at home.lol

What a jem of a place we went on sunday night and had a 3 course meal (popadoms starter main course n rice) and beer n soft drinks all for under £33 for 2 of us the food was fantastic and great service from start to finish will definitely be making this a regular place to eat would recommend a visit here

Hot chillies was a clean restaurant with a nice ambience. The food was delicious and it was apparent that fresh ingredients was used. The staff were very kind and helpful.

We had a takeaway from here tonight absolutely delicious we both had chicken balti,rice,chips and aloo saag they catered for us as i am lactose intolerant and we can’t have things too spicy either. We asked for medium everything was medium and so tasty,. We went to pick it up excellent service, lovely people and a lovely place if you want to eat inside. This isn’t the first time we have eaten in here and it won’t be last

Had a nice chicken korma with poppadoms a mixed starter. This was shared between 2 people and it was more than adequate. The service time was reasonable considering it was a Friday night.

We have eaten here twice now after it was recommended to us by a colleague who raves about it.

We thought we’d try it out seeing as it won some award we’d seen in mail online article but it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be . Staff didn’t seem to know anything about the menu and had to keep asking the only one who did know. And we were almost instantly put off when my partner went downstairs to the loo to find a scruffy mess everywhere and dirty broken toilets and carpets looking like never been hoovered ever... not a good sign ... he wanted to leave right then ... food was ok, it was average - defo not award worthy and nowhere near as good as where we normally go. Won’t be going back here .

I go every week for a takeaway with my brother in law and i have to say that it is excellent. Great staff and the chef is A1. Great experience great food. Very welcoming and yes ill be back next week!

This is an absolute shambles of a restaurant . We’d been waiting an hour before the starter arrived and another hour for the main. £9 for a double g and t.

Always order from here but not sure what has happened food was freezing when it arrives and only 3 prawns in my tandoori King prawn starter. Feel like this place has gone downhill

Decided to phone up to see if they had a table, after a short wait we got seated, well looked after, lovely food and great service.

Three of us decided to visit after we heard the good reviews and also read the low reviews on here but as we love a good curry, we went in open-minded. I had booked a table for 4 originally but one person pilsner make it - Not a problem for when we turned up. We had great service all night and the food was great. We were all starving and the portion size throughout was a fair size! Not too sure why people have bad reviews on here as we never had additional extras on the bill or bad service - We actually we’re given extra food! We will be back soon!

Bolton NE CLP held a private fundraising/social evening 15.02.2019. Location brilliant, staff fantastic, food super across at least 12 taster choices, brilliant hosting by Steve James. If you want the perfect venue for a private event upwards of 50 people, book the Hot Chilli! Great bar service, good food, dancing and fun and games with a crowd of really great people. Perfect! Thank you to the staff and owners of the Hot Chilli, the event is already booked and being planned for next year!

Came here for my birthday meal with a few friends. The food was lovely and really filled us up. We were all saying how we would return - until we got the bill. Now I would have just paid it without checking but my friend said she saw a review on here regarding incorrect bills so we decided to double check it. The figures on the bill didn’t amount to the total and was over £11 out. Now I would have given a tip regardless but we were being taken for mugs and it seems like a common theme here. Whilst the bill was corrected, I don’t believe it was an accident so due to this I won’t be returning.

My wife and I have just had another fantastic meal at Hot Chilli. We absolutely love this place and I would recommend it to anyone! I genuinely cannot understand some of the previous comments. We both had the Fish Pakora starter which exellent. I then had the Fish Curry with prawns and King prawns - this isn’t on the menu and has to be requested - and my wife had a Chicken Tikka Balti. Both meals were superb. Shek and his staff are really friendly and can’t do enough for you. All in all, this is a superb Indian Restaurant and well worth a visit.

I not sure what this place won an award for.... maybe it was for the strategically placed fan heaters to keep the customers warm (Or at least attempt to)...maybe it was the way they give you warm plates, yet served the curry to you in a cold dish...Or maybe it was for the bland tasting curry that actually tasted 100% better once it was eaten with the garlic naan...

Was it even curry? Paid £65 for a meal for the family as a takeaway. What a waste of money. My Balti was dreadful and my wife's Rogan Josh was worse. They were absolutely tasteless, like there were some ingredients missing. Plus there were things missing from our order, namely the salad and curry sauce with the chicken shashlik. You had a chance to impress a new customer but we won't be going back. Yuk!

Called in last night on the way home from work to order a takeaway. Had one pint, ordered the food and whilst waiting I had an amiable conversation with customers who were dining in.

Myself and a couple of friends visited Hot Chilli on a Wednesday night it wasnt busy so we were seated and asked our drink order straight away. Lovely looking venue and the staff are very polite however the food just isnt great.

Terrible terrible food - absolute disgrace to Indian curries. I normally don’t review on trip adviser but felt the need to on this occasion. The only decent dish served was the spinach rice. Please avoid.

We had a banquet here at the 6.30 sitting on New Year’s Eve. The food was good and reasonably priced. The service was a little mixed with the waiters being far too casual . Aside from the service the experience was good although in the end there was far too much food!

We came here having found this place on trip advisor and had a lovely meal! Slight mix up with our order but they couldn’t have done more to quickly rectify and gave us free drinks. Customer service excellent and food great! Plenty of options for vegetarians too.

Over two hours waiting, when we booked a table for 7.30, 8.40 when we where eventually seated. We observed customers taken to a seat who had only just arrived in front of 3 other parties.

Spotted this place on my travels and decided to give it a try..the building is shared with a gym and looks bit uninviting tbh it needs but of decorating..however the staff were very pleasant and the owner was very proud of his establishment and obviously has plans to improve the place.. the food was great.. we had poppadoms to start with we don't usually have these but the chilli relish was great..our starters were very tasty my kebab was beautifully tender and tasty and my hubby liked the spicy sauce on his kebabs. I have the fried garlic chicken and it is simply amazing the paste favouring yum yum..I could eat it every day..my hubby enjoyed his too but I think he secretly preferred mine..keep up the good work onwards and upwards and well done on your award..
