H.O.T. Cafe Restaurant in Canterbury

We came here yesterday and the food was lovely and hot. The cafe has a nice atmosphere and the food is very well priced. We didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive. Would definitely come again.

The meals are so well priced . This is a must to visit. You can get special of day. There is so much choice.

Proper builders breakfast, nothing posh but the best I have found in herne bay and the bubble is gem.

Got to be the best cafe in herne bay as a resident ive tried a few and i keep ending up back here The food is freshly cooked but that doesnt mean it takes ages to come to the table once you placed the order Staff are very friendly and polite theres no rushing you just relax and enjoy your food

Friendly welcoming staff food was served without a long wait. Family run so adds that extra welcoming feeling. I had a cooked breakfast with bubble and squeak my son ate all of his burger and chips my husband had a jacket potato with cheese and beans and my daughter had cheesy chips all well roesetend and everyone ate well

In Herne Bay for a football match. Great service, food and prices. Staff were friendly and efficient - breakfast came out swiftly.

Had lunch today at the HOT CAFE. Herne Bay. With two of my grandchildren. The girls had burgers, as they do.But I had a prawn salad. And it was delicious. I liked it so much, I sent a message to the kitchen to thank the person who had prepared it. The staff were very helpful. Didn’t have to wait to long considering how busy they were. I would definitely have that salad again. Thank you.

The breakfast provided was very poor, many items cold and either over cooked or dried by having been kept. Wouldn't use it again.

We visited here for some lunch and was pleasantly surprised. We took a table outside and ordered from indoors. The staff were very friendly and happy. We had a set breakfast and a custom breakfast, toast and teas. Even though it was busy the tea came out no longer than a couple of minutes after ordering which was really nice. The food soon followed. The food was hot and tasty and the toast went down well with the kids. The chips were cooked perfectly. It was a really nice experience and we would definitely return.

What can I say the team are excellent here. The food is good quality fry up the bacon is the best. I pop in regular now.

Iced coffee was fab Slush machine for the children. Took my dad for a catch-up and coffee and he had enjoyed X2 said it was great quality coffee. the staff are friendly helpful and outside seating is great. Watch the world go by enjoying good coffee. Also well priced.

Re opened with social distancing and it’s as good as ever. Eat here every day during the week for breakfast or lunch. Liver with onions, bacon, mash potato & peas is juicy, fresh, tasty & highly recommended for less than £5 for a filling lunch. Friendly service, nice people & great tasting freshly cooked meals at reasonable prices makes this restaurant a must visit...

Just had the best liver & onion bacon & gravy with chips & peas, gravy so good I had to drink the last of it from my plate. Amazing value , friendly people, great tasting freshly cooked food. Perfect

Have my breakfast here a few days each week, the Vegetarian option is delicious but I like other breakfasts here as well and they are always freshly cooked and tasty...the tea is strong and refreshing, just how I like it...Nice relaxed, friendly atmosphere with helpful and friendly staff...perfect and highly recommended.

Good food for a hangover, staff brilliant, not a glamorous venue but if your happy to eat at a fair price then head here.

Usually have a cooked breakfast here as good value for money, have had a few occasions when we have had lunch and very varied menu with roast dinners which are very good value

We regularly come here as a large family for weekend breakfast. We always enjoy it. Service is efficient and kindly and the food is freshly prepared and good value. Herne Bay locals know we're fortunate to have the Hot Cafe.

Average breakfast sausage not good. Music playing not appropriate for early morning. Owner sitting at table talking loudly on phone . staff friendly and service quick maybe to quick. Cafe could do with an up date and a proper clean.

While in Herne Bay we went to H.O.T Cafe for something to eat.Ordered breakfast from friendly staff and had a cracking mealHaving tried numerous morning meals around town and being really impressed with the food and drink we will be coming back to the Cafe again

We visited for breakfast as part of a large group. The food is good, very good value and perfect staff. But what stands out is that it seems to attract nice people. To make way for our group, one table moved without being asked and one lady finished and paid, probably before she was quite ready. You get the sense the cafe is run well and the customers appreciate it. They are also sensitive to special dietary requirements. Great place. Hope to go back.

Yo y mi pareja llegó esta mañana para el desayuno y la comida rápida sirve de nuevo precioso sin largos tiempos de espera para la comida. . Lo recomiendo de verdad el café no sólo buenos precios pero el personal es fantástico y la comida fantástica.

Often use this place for a dinner. It's good value and clean. Staff are friendly and efficient. The liver and bacon dinners are great. Also the lamb on the bone. Well priced all round. Very popular place as it always seems busy.

I go here often, because it's reasonably priced and good service. I have their egg, bacon and bubble on occasion and it's a good sized breakfast. The staff are cheerful and friendly, the menu extensive, and I highly recommend Hots cafe!

This cafe is red and white is appearance and straight-lined and tidy with a few prints on the wall and a varied menu in the window.My breakfast order was quickly delivered by polite staff and at £5.80 reasonably priced. The beans, hash-browns and bacon were well-cooked, the tomatoes were fresh ones, although the sausages, like in so many cafes, were low-grade ones. That aside, it is a pleasant enough place to eat and clearly popular with local folk of all ages.

got seated straight away on a busy satruday lunch time.Excellent friendly and welcoming service ,food arrived promptly too and the can recommend the omelettes .Great value for money and will be revisiting .

Up until now always thought HOT Cafe was the bets value for money, good food and service cafe but was left disappointed after last visit. Hopefully it was just a one off, but with lots of competition with the increasing number of cafes in Herne Bay, this one needs to be up its game, or atleast be consistent! Stoney faced waitress with zero social skills. Usually quite friendly. I think someone had turned off the background music which made a difference too. Still great value for money but missing something on this visit!

Fantastic place for Sunday breakfast, very reasonably priced. Warm service, great food and usually busy, which says it all.....

Been here soooo many times. Reason being - it's good food served fast. Perfect for a Friday fill up. If there was a marking down for anything it would have to be the toilets but let's be honest who really cares what a cafes toilets look like. They are clean and they work

The choice of breakfast is pretty good, includes a vegetarian. Visited the other morning with wife and sister-in-law, all had different dishes. Food served was hot and perfectly to my standards. I come here pretty much every month with my friend to catch up over breakfast. You can get a decent cooked breakfast for under £6 with a drink...not many places that cheap, especially during a recession! Not only is it cheap, it's actually a cracking fry up! The staff can be a bit aloof, but service is quick, so it's irrelevant at a cheap establishment like this. Atmosphere is nice and relaxed, with lots of old folks about during the daytime. Plenty of seating also.

Cheapest cafe in town with the best quality food. A roast dinner pudding and drink for £6.60 you can't go wrong. Never walk out feeling like I haven't eaten enough. Very pleasant staff. Very clean and open plan kitchen. I have never been disappointed by the quality of food and service. And have never been made to feel unwelcome unlike other cafes in the bay.

Nice clean establishment that offers great choice and value breakfasts. It's bigger inside than it looks. I was surprised at the number of friendly customers who obviously were regulars. Coming from North West Kent to live in Herne Bay it's a weird but nice experience to hear customers coming in and saying 'good morning' to everyone! Long may Herne Bay continue to be like this. Admittedly it was an older clientele but I suspect over the course of a day it will continue to provide steady friendly service and value for money. Will definitely be returning.

The HOT café is the best restaurant in Herne Bay for quality of food, value for money and wonderful service. The food is freshly prepared within view of customers. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble to satisfy customers. The premises are nicely decorated and always clean. I would highly recommend the HOT café!

Great hot chocolate here on a wet, cold and windy day, like today! The food is well priced, plenty of it, good selections, good service, can be very busy at times, but still the customer service is great! worth a visit any time.

Not unlike a Mr Beano, but with a slightly different menu, this café is one of the better ones in Herne Bay. I have eaten here many times, and always end up coming back. The food is excellent, reasonably priced, and the service is relatively quick. It also tends to be popular with the over 60's set, so the teenage mothers with baby buggies tend to give it a wide birth. Really good value, and nice atmosphere.

Went here on a Sunday for a full English after a recommendation! Was not disappointed. It doesn't look much on the outside but it's quite big inside, with plenty of room, and was full most of the time we were there so is very popular! Good breakfast, good coffee and good value!
