We had a Sunday lunch and the meat was not good, the veg was terrible! The chicken seemed like a boiled breast and not roast, the veg on the plate was creamed celery, boiled courgettes and some very pale red cabbage (a seperate bowl with carrots, cauliflower was brought out for us all. The pic on their Facebook of roast beef is unfortunately not what you get. We didn’t complain on the day as we just wanted to leave. I’m writing a review now as I think you should be aware of what you’re going to get and there should be photos of the food they serve on Facebook etc. There also wasn’t a menu we were just told what meat was available. If we’d been asked about the veg that came with it we all would have asked for it not to be added. The two men who served us were absolutely lovely and it was a real shame the food let them down.

Well, well, well! What a magnificent establishment to stop for a cold and refreshing libation! I ordered a massive gin and tonic after calling in on the way back from a business trip! The gin was so moreish I consumed the entire glass in one! I naturally had no choice but to order another! Long story short, I ended up horribly inebriated and fell in a ditch walking home! What as crapulous experience! Would highly recommend!!! The ditch was surprisingly comfortable for the night as well!

Our friends had booked this restaurant as we were visiting from Sussex. What a disappointment! The fillet steaks the men had were grisly, sinewy and poor. The peppercorn sauce was no thicker than water, more ran off than stayed on the steak!! We returned one steak and it took 20 minutes and a reminder b4 the new meal returned and sadly it was only marginally better. The pork belly slice was tender but very fatty which was not crisp but slimy. The chips looked like the chip shop scrapings we used to get for a penny on the way home of an evening as teenagers! In this day and age to keep us returning you restauranteers need to up your game. Sorry we won’t return!!

We had the halloumi chips and some hummus. It was so good I wanted some to take home with me. The menu has a wonderful Tapas feel to it and is great for sharing with friends.

A lovely local pub just started doing food. I was lucky enough to be there on there frist night and got to sample several dishes. The new chef has put a great menu together. The pork belly bites were out of this world as we're all the other dishes I sampled. Something for everyone. Good luck with the new venture. Fabulous food at great prices.

I popped in yesterday (9th Feb) and the new chef had just started serving their new menu. Having tried multiple samples, I have to say it was really fantastic to see such inventive and tasty food on the bar. I ordered the King Prawns which were perfectly cooked, I hope they do well as all they need now is some support. Local food and local beer, what more do you want?

Just glad they got rid of the riff-raff from my time when visiting some 17 years ago. Wish the hosts all the very best.

We headed to Dee Dee's firstly because it is situated within The Range store, where we happened to be browsing, and secondly, because it advertised that it was serving Costa Coffee. We were killing time, waiting for a relative to undergo a hospital appointment, but we waited a LONG time to be served. I actually began to time it on my watch, silly I know, but I was beginning to think that we would have to ditch our idea of a coffee and head back to the hospital. In the end, we waited a little over 18 minutes to be served. Yes, the coffee was Costa, but not served Barista style, more of the kind of machine one finds in a buffet breakfast at a hotel, select your drink, press the appropriate button and the machine dispenses the drink. The staff seemed to be rushed off their feet, with one young lady taking orders and delivering coffees and another, older and more experienced lady putting together the food orders. One felt for them, as they were clearly understaffed and rushed off their feet. Yet, being British, we all stood there and queued! Costa coffee is okay, not nearly as special as it would like to think, but we got what we paid for. The seating area was nicely laid out, sufficient space between tables, but it was all rather canteen, rather than a coffee / cafe /bistro experience. The management should really look at their staffing levels and help out the current members, who are doing their best.

not much occuring but the beer is nice and the staff pleasant. I was the only one in so not much atmosphere but chilled out. The young guy in glasses on the bar was lovely but didn't know much about the beer really

A really good find close to the Park & Ride bus stop at the top of town. Service was welcoming and helpful (husband has some disability) which extended to our dog. A small breakfast for £6 (choose 3 items) was perfect as was the coffee. Lactose intolerance catered for without difficulty. We’ll be back.

Found by accident while out driving around the area. Popped in for a quick lunch about 2.30. Quits a few people in there. Burger and chips were nice. Coffee was good. Toilet was clean also. Would be a good destination if it wasn't pouring with rain as could sit outside.

The staff and service is always great. We came in for a quick drink recently. We really do miss the male owner doing the food, much preferred it then. We’ve been for set menu events and it’s never really lived up to expectations which is a shame. Partner used to always come in then but we don’t tend to visit now. Just an honest one
