Very nice room fine for a afternoon together celebrating. It was a baby shower we attened room a bit cold at first. Toilets fine and clean only one girl serving on bar so a while to get drinks.

Cracking pub, good drinks, exactly what you want. Great service and huge car park. Can’t wait to go again.

Ate a Ham and Cheese Sandwich with a pint of Guinness for my lunch. Overall if you like pubs you will like it here also handy for parties as there was one in the function room going on while we were eating. Not easy to get to on the train I am afraid as it is a good walk from the nearest train station.

Nearly drove past this place due to outside bland appearance and it appears that is being planned for upgrade by new management/ Entered the large spacious card park and observed the disabled wheelchair acces at rear along with small kiddies section .Then recently modelled fairly spacious interior was a surprise and a delight. Note google map shows it in wrong place sometimes ?.IT IS IN THE CENTRE of town . Menu seemed a little limited at first site but this is genuine HOME COOKED FOOD THAT WAS mega DELICIOUS.The mustard added mashed potato and onion gravy are to die for, along with rather large genuine steak pie.This turned out to be larger that I would normally eat but i was not going to let any return to the kitchen.So I suggest that pensioners ask for a smaller portion if ordering for a lunch.Half would be more than enough. I am surprised at a previous comments as this food and menu has only beed served for a couple of weeks after long closure and its definite heading for restraunt status rather than a bar type pub with pre cooked meals. Apart from outside appearance this is a food special and we will be returning for that reason.Only hope they keep up this quality and friendly service.(Male at lunchtome) Plus a proper genuine Chef. Came here with my mum for lunch and the new menu was absolutely gorgeous! The ranch sandwich was a total dream and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our eating experience was as pleasureable as possible :) such good value for money too! A total recommend :)

My wife and I just tried the new menu , delicious , pick 5 tapas and get a 6th free for £23 ! ( which fed the two of us ) and a bottle of barefoot Sauvignon blanc for £10 ! £33 fed and watered ! Fantastic

Been going there for many years off and on. Thought we would give it a try again a couple of months ago. We have been going again quite regularly but after the last visit felt really let down due to the attitude of one of the bar staff. She was screaming at all the customers to get out from 11.30 onwards including the band that had been playing. There was absolutely no need for this as there was only about a dozen people in the pub. Very dissapointed as it is a really nice pub and normally a very friendly atmosphere.

Food was delicious and reasonably priced . Most definitely worth a visit.also very pleasant atmosphere . Loads of parking space too.

Called in for lunch & everything was going well until some of the locals in the bar area decided to start coming out foul langage at the top of their voices they were told but carried on.It is a shame as the food and service was very good indeed

After it being closed for 6 months, it's now re opened with fantastic food, friendly staff and a great family atmosphere. Great place to go and visit.

We have not visited this pub for a while and we were pleasantly surprised , on our last visit . It is well decorated and is serving really cheap pub food, and the staff are friendly. Well worth a visit !
