Went in for hot drinks only, so no food ordered. However the cake looked very good and prices are very reasonable. The cafe is a social space run by people connected to the local church. It's not open for long hours as it's a volunteer staffed cafe. Our drinks were excellent and the people there were really friendly and welcoming. Sad that we didn't eat anything, as going out after. It's a real community meeting place in a small village, so it's really important to the residents. If you're lucky enough to be in Bere Alston when it's open, do visit and support the community. You won't regret it! There are good small shops in the village too. Local butcher is well worth supporting. Good luck to the cafe, and the good hearted staff.

Have lived in the village all my life, and have only just visited this lovely little cafe now. A tiny little home-brewed cafe, the food is lovely and the staff are friendly! Menu offers a small variety of drinks and food, Staff are volunteers who help run the cafe to the locals. volunteers are always needed so would be ideal for any one local who is looking for light work or work experience in the customer service field! Just pop in and ask :) Prices are very reasonable aswell, They take cash & card payments :) please do visit this lovely little place at least once! Perfect for everyone. One thing to note, opening times vary so always make sure to check openings either online or the cafe window! ☺️

The Bere Peninsular, with no through roads, can be like the 'land that time forgot' and this little gem of a place is amazing - you certainly don't find places like this anymore! Fantastic (volunteer) staff who are incredibly friendly, personable and attentive. Exceptional coffee and paninis, delicious waffles and prices that leave you feeling guilty that they're just not enough! A credit to the community and village.

This place is amazing. The village is lucky to have such a wonderful place to go to. All run by volunteers and it’s so cheap. I just love it x

A very pleasant little café in the centre of the village. It is run entirely by volunteers and thus often has a wide range of home made cakes. Opening times are somewhat restricted, being 10am to 12.30pm each weekday. Comfortable seating and free WiFi is available. Car parking is on Fore Street, subject to available space, alternatively there is a free car park in Pilgrim Drive, accessed from Bedford Street and jus a short walk under the arch, with the Café just a few steps to your left..

Lovely, proper pub in a gorgeous location. The staff were friendly, the food was great and so was the beer. I live quite a long way away in mid Cornwall, but I shall certainly go again.

Welcoming and traditional English pub that was a complete pleasure to stop for lunch in -could have stayed all afternoon! Food was good pub food, reasonably priced and tasty. Pub is a breath of fresh air where village pubs are concerned - it’s spot on!
