Hope and Anchor Brixton in Lambeth

I visited the Hope and Anchor in Brixton a couple of weekends ago. A friend had booked one of their huts in the garden to watch a rugby match. When I arrived I was a bit earlier and got talking to some of the staff while being served. I think their names are Raven and Gabby. Really nice lads. They were working quickly but still had time for some friendly banter. I noticed that while it is small inside there were plenty of screens to watch sports. The drinks selection is good too. I was excited to see they had beers from Brixton Brewery on tap, one of my favourite craft breweries :) When the rest of the group arrived we were shown out to our hut by one of the managers, Danielle. She was very friendly and let us know our options for ordering. I was a bit skeptical at first about using the app for ordering but it was really useful for during the game as our food and drinks were delivered to our hut without needing to leave the table and missing any of the game. I couldn't believe how big the garden is and they have loads of TVs showing the matches. The hut we booked could fit all 15 of us inside and had its own TV screen with the volume played through speakers. It was a bit chilly on the day but each hut has an electric heater in it. We ordered food through the app and it all arrived fairly quickly. Their menu is mainly burgers and street food style light bites. It was perfect for watching sports with friends. As we were leaving I saw that a DJ was setting up so I imagine it gets very lively in the evening. I will definitely be booking again to watch sports with friends. I imagine it must be even better in the beer garden when the weather is warmer.

Rented one of the huts in the garden for a friend's birthday - good even in the winter. The huts were free to rent and provide a good place to meet with friends. The pub isn't cheap but it's also fun for a night out on a weekend.

Love this place. Visited for a friend’s birthday and we had one of the outdoor huts. Was the perfect setting for an evening of drinks and catching up with friends. One of the best beer gardens in the area. Reasonable prices too.

We love this place - been here a few too many times! Excited for the 25th November (table booked). It embodies the perfect cross between hope of new activities each night but also an anchor to base yourself regardless of what the night could bring. So much fun! I love that it turns into a club upstairs. A bit too expensive tho - we are poor. A fantastic place to drink away an evening !

Amazing place, worth a visit just for the beer garden. Great night out always busy has a good vibe. Staff are quick and helpful. I would recommend checking out, The Hope and Anchor, especially on a weekend.

I can’t fault this venue. Absolutely superb. The food was to die for. Even Mr Bond would have had time. Emanuele (the cutey behind the bar) was just brilliant and had such a great knowledge of what/who was available ;). The drink that he shook up in front of me almost had me off my feet. Wow, what pleasure. I’d have one of these shaken up in front of me every weekend if I could! Well done H&A. I’ll be back again x

Great atmosphere. (6pm - 9.30pm) We booked a garden hut which was nice! Drinks were easy to order from the app and came quickly. Would recommend for outdoor drinks.

Extremely impressed with the quick service and kind, approachable staff! Attended a large group birthday event on May bank holiday, and the staff were so fast and patient with our multiple drink orders. Also they were extremely helpful with storing our surprise birthday cake in the fridge and giving us cutlery and knives. Security at the door was also polite. Gorgeous outdoor seating area & such yummy fries - Would really recommend this place!!
