This place shouldn’t be serving food, its absolutely honking. The meat looks off and the vegetables to! Me and my mate had a mouth full and binned it. We shouldn't of touched it because we both have severe diarrhoea and sickness (it was the only thing we touched all day). I’m writing this 2 days in and we’re still running to the toilet every 15 minutes! Can’t actually eat food anymore. My mate had a vegetarian chow mien and I had a Singapore chow mien. Its ruined our stomachs. I’ve never written a review, not my seen but on this occasion...absolutely. RUN AWAY

After ordering from this take away on just eat and not googling I didn’t realise they had such bad reviews HOWEVER I found my take away nothing but AMAZING!! Our food arrived on time, food was lovely and hot and tasted amazing. During this bad time too the delivery driver stuck to the rules and dropped our food off on our door step and backed off towards his car immediately which I can’t thank him enough for, he was also wearing gloves too. So thank you for that. I just want to touch that the bad reviews are from almost 2 years ago!! Places change and people change so please give this take away a try. They currently have a 5* food hygiene rating which stood out to me on just eat immediately. We personally couldn’t find any fault with the food or service. Thank you very much for providing us with a little luxury during this bad time 🙌

Food arrived very fast, delivery driver very friendly. Food was red hot on arrival and deffo the best chinise I’ve had in a very very long time!! Staff very friendly when making a phone order will deffo be ordering from here again

I have recently googled this take away to see if they deliver to my area. Upon googling I found a Leicester Mercury article dated 20th May 2018 which concluded Environmental Health has closed this business down with immediate effect due to a dead rat being found In the kitchen, rat drippings found throughout, raw food left on work surfaces, rotten meat and a very dirty kitchen. The Inspector said it was the worst conditions she had seen in 20 years! Avoid at all costs. Read council report yourself for verification. It’s absolutely Disgusting!

Ordered a delivery at 18.22pm I’m sat here at 19:46 with no food. I have called 67 times on repeat to have someone hang up on me and then be extremely rude. Plenty of other Chinese’s in Blaby. The sooner this one gets new management and some manners the better.

Hi, just visited Hong Kong on way home. I live a couple of streets away and always use this place. Placed order, went home with. Upon opening, found a lot less than adequate, phoned to sort out as love the food from here, only to be given a barrage of abuse and made to feel like it was something I’d done wrong personally. Was eventually offered an exchange(with severe scrutiny upon arrival!) lady on counter “explained” if I wanted extra meat I should of just asked!! Really? I followed on to say I love the food from here but it wasn’t up to the usual standards I.e. lack of ingredients- onions, peppers, chillis,meat. Really disappointed, as love coming to get food from here, but lack of manners just makes me think sling it!

Disgusting food. Seriously put me off Chinese food for a while. The food was 100% definitely not freshly cooked on the same day! The stale and rubber like texture of the meat made that pretty obvious! Don't bother wasting your money on this place honestly. By far has to be 1 of the worst Chinese takeaways in the area

Really enjoy ordering from this takeaway. Food is fresh and always tasty. There is no MSG in their food and are generally accommodating with their menu. I order from here on a fairly regular basis

Stale and rubbery chicken only indicates it's old chicken that has been microwaved! Will never order from this place ever again. What a disappointment!

Was very nice, the wings weren't as good as the Ines I usually get from other Chinese in the area but the chicken balls were really nice :)

Very late despite ring them twice and then it was the wrong order. The driver knew this when he delivered it because when I rang the restaurant she said yes I know you got wrong order. I requested a refund and she said OK. I waited almost 2 hrs and then the wrong food. They then rang 20 mins later offering me a new order and to collect the food. I had already binned it as I did n not like it and was on my way to bed. I still want a refund

Food was great, my only suggestion would be to change the curry sauce as was bland but apart from that the food was delivered before the time stated which is a bonus

first and last time i ever order from here.ordered through hungry house took 1hr and 15mins 2arrive.luke warm.my chow mein had zero bean sprouts but had something that resembled cabbage or lettuce all soggy.the noodles were the type u get in a vacumed bag from a convenience store very mushy. the noodles were separate from the other meat n veg that was plonked on top. my prawn balls still had the black line 'poo' running in it.i stated i wanted curry sauce instead of sweet and sour...i got sweet and sour. worst chinese iv ever had and that beats the 1 i got food poisoning from. waste of money

Completely delicious. The lemon sauce is super lemony and the crispy chicken is delish. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful food, full of taste!! I'd recommend the chilli chips as they are amazing!! The chow mein and the egg fried rice was on point and plenty of it! I'd recommend a few more onions in the chow mein as they was full of taste and I'd of Loved alot more! Will be ordering again!

A fantastic service and even better food once again. Love this take away the best Chinese I have eaten from in Rugby, Leicester and Bournemouth!! Have recommended to lots of people. Food always comes before the estimated time and the quality is restaurant standard. Everything we've had is delicious and no signs of the grease you normally get with take away. Perfect treat!!!

The style of the hot and sour soup was not one I particularly liked. I understand there is no one single style, but this one is not for me.

The curry was quite runny but tasted delicious. The prawn toast was very greasy. I know they are fried but I've never had such greasy ones like that. The pineapple fritters were very soggy, maybe they always are, I haven't had them before. The whole meal (except for the prawn toast) was delicious, hence the rating.

The chicken in the curry was rubbery. Very disappointing as the last take away we had from here was delicious. The chilli chips were nice but that was about it. Won't be ordering again 👋

It took nearly two hours to be delivered. When I first called up I did not even get an answer. The food is always good and the driver was perfectly polite. However, the service was shambolic and the delivery was a joke.

Terrible service from driver never even tasted the food so not gonna comment on that, but the driver is crazy. When he finally got here he called that I should come down and collect the food from him because he is not insured to come to my door. I explained to him that I am with my baby and I cannot so he just dropped the phone on me and came upstairs and when I answered the door I told him he was rude for dropping the phone on me so he threw the food at me. The food is on the floor of my communal corridor and the driver has ran off, although when I called the restaurant the lady that answered the phone was really apologetic but honestly that's abuse I've never experienced food being thrown at me, and the fact that he told me that he is not insured to come upstairs and deliver food to my door is crazy I have never heard of this before the lady I spoke to at the restaurant confirmed that this was a lie.

Took over an hour to arrive, some food wrong and some was missing. We called back and they brought our correct food half an hour later. Chilli chips were just plain, soggy chips. Sweet and sour sauce was like water.

Never had a bad meal. Crispy won ton are awesome and the kung po chicken is the best I've had from a takeaway.... Driver called me to say he was outside as I live in a flat and even used my name to say they were outside, if you live in Le3, or you're lucky enough to have these deliver to your neck of the woods you won't be disappointed

It was vile! I couldn't even eat it! The batter was powdery and just tasted horrific, although their vegetable spring rolls were nice and the prawn crackers were adequate will not be using them again!

Ordered at 8.15, estimated delivery firstly was 8.55 then 9.05 then 9.15, I called at 9.25 to be told another ten/fifteen minutes then cancelled at 9.50 just as I had a knock at the door. No call from takeaway to say running late. RUBBISH

Use this restaurant frequently, and usually fab; but tonight it took an hour and a half to arrive, at non peak time, phoned and was told it was due to the weather (???), which is confusing as they're less than a mile away and the weather here is ok!

Entire experience is normally amazing. This time not only was the food overcooked but our order was almost an hour late and we had to phone them up to remind them that we've even placed an order. No apology, nothing. Very disappointed :(

I used to order from here a long time ago, have no idea why I stopped! Best Hygiene rated Chinese in Leicester! Extremely tasty, not too salty like some Chinese places. Reasonable portions although I do think a bit pricey compared to some places... But I would happily pay those prices again.

Mixed Bag, pork hong kong style good, chicken in chow mein old and dry, king prawns in batter reheated from yesterday or overcooked.

It took ages to come. Was more than an hour. Cheap delivery charge and minimum order for delivery was reasonable. The sweet and sour sauce was very acidic, not very nice. Big portions though so that was good.

I was very pleased with my main course, it had excellent flavour The wings were a bit stingy at only 5 of them, but they tasted great !
