Been twice and the food was OK but pretty mediocre ' the service though very rude' thought it may have been an off day but the the second time they were even more unpleasant you live and learn lol

Never again so rude Was ordering takeaway and the lady that was taken my order just stopped and answered the fone and started taken someone else's order was just standing waiting for her to finish ended up walking out also had a delivery a few weeks ago and delivery driver was very rude rang me told me to come out side and then snatched the money and left poor service

Found a daddy long legs in my chilli chips Took order back staff no apologise nothing just dirty looks from the staff Chef whip out his chop stick flicked around the daddy long legs i thought he was going to eat it Then he took the chop stick and only rinsed them with cold water and put them back with with the other utensils no sanitiser nothing where’s your food safety I ain’t coming back to your shop that one less customer

Food is always nice and as a good Chinese should be. My usual wasn’t open one day so I tried this place and I’ve never gone back since

Ordered sirloin steak and got home To find out Only had half a bag of chips rang them up they said you only get half a bag of chip said no you don't ordered from you loads of times. and the steak was Chewy And ask for it medium rare and it wasn't.

The best Chinese takeaway in Leicester... open kitchen, with great chefs, food and delivery service too... highly recommended

I use this takeaway regularly, the food is fantastic and the staff are superb.

Ordered from here lots. Food is nice, prices a lot cheaper than some others. However multiple times there’s been issues with missing items. Decided to try wongs instead and although more expensive it’s better. Go there from now on if I want Chinese

I've ordered from here a few times. Stopped buying certain things such as prawn crackers, chicken balls, as always a disappointment but never made a complaint. This evening though I ordered chicken fried rice and curry sauce. Whilst Eating it I experienced some sort of grit crunching in my teeth. Took it back to be told point blank no refund and said it was because I had already ate some. ( a quarter or so missing). No apologies, no offer to remake food nothing. Food gave me really bad sickness and diarrhoea

Ordered a delivery, Crispy King Prawns & chips, tasted ok initially, during the night both my partner & I both started vomiting & had diarrhoea. Will NEVER order from here again.

Edited review after getting a takeout this eve. Found 2 black hairs in chips and spring rolls. So they didn't get eaten. Binned. Both the chow meins we ordered were salty and greasy. The Tuesday chefs aren't good! Original review from 3 months ago Heard they were under new management. Gave them a go this evening, and I'm glad I did. Lovely, polite lady on the phone took the order, I went and picked our order up 10 minutes later. Welcomed with a big smile and they have an open kitchen too so you can see how clean the environment is. The food, chicken chop suey, mixed vegetable chow mein, and mini spring rolls were all lovely. It was not greasy and tasteless as it was late 2019 when we last had a takeaway from there, and it was under the old management.

9.5/10 top Chinese takeaway, though my friend says 'Wongs' is better. Not tried Wongs, YET!

Disgusting Food, Had Chicken Balls and had to remove the chicken because you couldn't chew it, The rice was bland and tasteless. Worst tasting Curry Sauce . Never again .

The best and worst thing about this Chinese is,you can see them cook your food and then put it to 1 side while they cook the deliver Roo food or other delivery stuff,while your order is still waiting to be finished !, Apart from that the food was very nice.

Food was OK. Prices were average wouldn't rush back .I like how you can watch h your food being cooked.i didn't like how the lady taking our order stoped half way through to answere the phone although there was other staff there who could of .

I have ordered as a family. The food was tasteless, prawns, squids, chickens were hard. I dont recommend at all. Most of our food went into the bin.

I’ve ordered from here three times in the past 2-3 months and each time the food has been hot and yummy. No problems ordering the food, arrived in good time and each time the order has been correct. It’s difficult to find a Chinese takeaway that has decent prices and tastes nice as I’ve had some before where sauces were very vinegary or just not that nice. This is nice, and it’s really close to me so do not have to pay for delivery. Portion size is also good. Will continue to use this Chinese

Ordered 3 portions of chips along with meals. The chips were incredibly undercooked and almost raw. Not the first time this has happened so called the restaurant, first they argued whether the chips were cooked or not, the manager then refused to speak on the phone and told their colleague that all they would do is replace the chips (which they said would take about 30mins). Didn’t feel this was good enough so asked them to replace the whole order, which they refused and then also refuse to give me a refund. Absolutely appalling ordeal. Will never give them the pleasure of receiving my custom again.

Very dissapointed-mixed starter box ordered for 2 of us-where was our crispy seaweed???? My favourite part of our meal!! Ate a piece of prawn toast and a spring roll-£17.40 down the drain-happy valentines day Great Orient-NOT

first time using this place and the service was good ordered over the phone to collect and order was spot on and the food was cheap and cheerful and Tasty happy days would return in the future!

I have ate many oriental cuisines in my life, this is by far the worst. We ordered the standard essentials, all of which sucked more than Jenna Jameson. I have walked away from my plate with a faint remnants of horse manure on my pallet. Literal horse bum bum. Xi Jinping would be ashamed

When someone says shall we get a Chinese takeaway these days I dread the thought as there is not one in Groby, Markfield, Ratby or Glenfield that is worthy of your money. But yesterday I happened to catch a glimpse of a Chinese with an open kitchen on my way home and I’m glad I decided to do a u-turn at the roundabout. To be able to see everything being cooked before your eyes is refreshing and to then get seven various dishes that are both very tasty and fresh is a huge bonus. Also, for a change a Chinese that is colourful, full of fresh ingredients that are not over cooked. Definitely worth the extra few minutes drive!

I have just been here. I never leave a review but this place is vile . I have had to cook the food I ordered in the bin waste of 17 pound . I would like a refund. The duck has been warmed up and hard Chips over cooked My chicken curry , did not look like meat . the sauce was water . Avoid this place

Placed a order waited 1 hour 30 Mins it didn’t arrive so I called to see how long it was going to be & was told delivery driver had been but no answer at the door I told her I have cctv & definitely nobody had been to my door she then changed her mind saying a man answered my door & said he didn’t order anything I would not recommend

Delicious food, tasty and light, not too salty, not greasy. Feels like you're eating healthy food...but it's a take away! The King Prawn with Ginger & Spring Onions is exceptionally delicious, and the Jin Xiang K Prawn is a wonderful surprise. Great restaurant's quality food at a very affordable price. Decided to have take away tonight. OMG what an awful meal, I had BBQ ribs, well I can assure you there was no BBQ about it, it was dreadful food. There was some sort of sauce which was tasteless, thick horrible stuff over the ribs. Never again. Need to get someone in who can cook.

First time trying here thought we would give it ago clearly asked for no onions and spring onions to not be added and still received. Not only that everything was soggy like it had been left and microwaved. Will not be ordering again from here. Could I possible give it 0 stars

Wonderful food my choice every time fast efficient service.The prawns are always fresh and juicy not shrivelled up like at most takeaways. The ability to take payment by card over the phone is a plus. Delivery times are excellent. Food always arrives hot.

been going to this chinese for 7 months.lovely food always on time if i have delivery sometimes i collect.i recently have a medical condition with no more fat in diet!! the lady on desk was so helpfull as i collected food for my family she spoke to chefs and they cooked me some lovely food with no fat added so now i an still enjoy with my family..they do this for me regular i ring up or go in if not sure and she helps me pick something..never had this sevice anywhere else! food is always of highest quality and very tasty..will only use this chinese now.

Apparently under new ownership. Have been loyal to this takeaway for years, until today. 1. On arrival receptionist arguing with owner about the phone service provider. 2. Too busy to talk to customers in person when the phone rings must be answered first. 3. I miss read the menu, and on arrival home found some form of liquid over the special fried rice. Took meal back to be told, BBQ sauce, that's why it's 'special' had to check I was still in a Chinese not a Mexican. Any way... so many ways this could have been resolved acceptably without loss to anyone. Instead, the lady on the front desk just said that it was my fault, and didn't even give the owner a chance to speak. So I left, (and left the BBQ fried rice?!?!) not because of the food, because of their lack of professional respect. 4. The most awful chicken curry ever, very bland, zero taste. Therefore, after 5 plus years,.... no more... the end. Ps the chips from the chippy were great...

After years of using this chinese this evening (NYE) we ordered our usual got it home to discover the chicken chow mein tasted "off" and generally was not up to its usual standard. My husband called them straight up to say it wasnt edible and we drove back (with our 2 young kids in tow again) back to the chinese for a refund. My husband was then confronted with abuse from the man behind the counter calling him a LIAR! Shocked to say the least! Will not use this chinese again! Disgusted

Este solía ser un gran lugar, pero los nuevos propietarios no tienen ni idea, la comida es ahora muy poco sosa, carne y salsa barbacoa es barato de basura que naranja, dulces y como las medusas!!! Si has tomado esta en hacer dinero y mano de comida de calidad inferior, vas a fallar, ya que me perdí y muchos más a seguir

Pedimos una buena pizzería desde aquí ayer por la noche y tengo que decir que la comida era muy buena. Nos dieron una mezcla de sopa, dos entrantes, algunos platos principales, huevo frito arroz y alubias salsa. entrega habría llevado 45 minutos, así que optamos por recogida que estaba lista en 20 minutos. La comida era encantador. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente y volveremos otra vez!

Do not go! I was waiting for my order saw two mice running in their kitchen area! very shocked! Poor hyigene. I have reported to the council today lets hope the health inspectors do their jobs properly
