Hong Kong Express in Dudley

I order this evening This has been the worst Chinese take away I have ordered from. Shredded salt and chilli pepper was so over fried it snapped in two . Chicken wings had a tandoori colour and all food was so salty. But worst of all was my tom yum soup No aromatic flavours of Lemon grass or ginger But a brown congealed gloop with 2 prawns in

I regularly order fro here, both in person and online. Normally the food is top quality, but this evening was not up to the usual standard. Edible, but not the great dining experience I am used to. Finally charging for a bag, because the app applies it, means it comes in a bag, or in a box with the bag. I paid for it

Very good food. I usually buy for several people and it always tastes good. I recommend.

Placed an order chicken chow mein NO VEG, chips curry suace, spring rolls. The landy repeated it back correctly. Waited extra time than advised for it to turn up, then it was wrong order, spoke to them on the phone an they wanted me to go and swap it over after it was there mistake,explained i coudnt leave due to the time an kids in bed so they agreed to replace it, 40 mins later and another phone call, the delivery driver turns up with chiw mein, by this time the rest if the order had gone cold due to the time it took them to replace an make the order correct. Turns out the chow main was vile, tasted more like spaghetti tha chinese noodles, unfortunately i wont be going back as from the food an the service i got both left an unpleasant taste in my mouth.

the curry was lovely but my hubby wasn't happy with the sweet and sour. There was no sauce whatsoever in the container, it all looked like it was just coated in sauce. disappointing.

We only ever used to buy from this place as they were always amazing but sadly we shall no longer return. The curry has changed yet again to what tastes like cheap supermarket brand curry sauce, the lemon sauce was weak and tasteless and the lamb was more fat than meat. Such a shame as they were amazing.

Disgusting disgusting disgusting the food was awful and I'm extremely disappointed I will never order again be careful whoever orders of this site and this company because there are two Hong Kong Express the one on the Burnham Road in Tipton is better

The service I received from the driver was DIGUSTING! I opened the door to him shouting and confronting me about him apparently waiting downstairs for 20 minutes when not once did my intercom sound to say that he was here! all this infront of my 3 young children! The food was disgusting to the point half of it got chucked away overall a VERY bad experience.

Absolutely horrid . Worst Chinese I've ever ordered I ordered chicken curry rice and chips I don't even think it was chicken was some sort of other animal. Curry sauce tasted like cheap gravey . Never again.

We've ordered quite a few times from here but we were both disappointed with our order last night. The king prawn curry wasn't that nice, there was only 4 prawns in it, it was mainly onions!! I like onions but not at that quantity plus they weren't cooked properly, they were all rubbery. Very disappointed 😞

The salt and pepper chilli chicken was hard and really dry, the 3 in 1 was just disgusting. The curry didn't even taste like curry. Massive pieces of chicken and onions. And the customer services was terrible I rang them up saying they forgot my drink and she said sorry can not do not possible goodbye and cut me off. Definitely not ordering from here again.

25 minutes delivery after notification that food is with delivery driver, turned up with cold food and the chips looked like they had been cooked yesterday, had to put in the oven to reheat it. This isnt the first time either. Will not be using them again!

I ordered mild salt and chilli pepper squid , and sweet and sour chicken balls in a tray but I asked if could change to king prawn balls which they did with no problems whatsoever. Well what can I say the squid was perfect and just the right amount of salt and pepper and the chilli was just the right mild for me, the king prawn balls tray meal was also perfect ( yes I'm pregnant so eating for two 🙈) was perfect the batter on the prawn balls was exactly the right amount and the right amount of crispy as well, I've ordered from here before and all the food has been delicious but on this occasion the food has to be the best meal I've ever had from there .

Was the best Chinese I’ve had in a long time, came early which was a surprise on a Saturday, everything was piping hot and the food portions are quite big! Food was really nice! Definitely my new go to Chinese

Ordered from the company for first time tonight st 17.35. After one hour called to chase told order on way. Half an hour went by called again same excuse. After two hours called and was told it had been delivered and handed to man with brown hair( noone of that description lives here) so repeatedly pressed for a description of the door. Suddenly story changed order was handed to a man with brown hair in a car on the edge of the estate who supposidly claimed to be us and their driver couldnt get on the estate. Very odd as we had been watching out window and three other delivery drivers had driven onto estate (there is only 1 road). In the end we said we would collect the order as they are less than 10mins away. Finally got to eat 2.5 hours after order placed food was mediocre. Will never order from here again.

It’s 9 times out of 10 Amazing but tonight we had the beef curry and it was really chewy and couldn’t eat it and didn’t want vegetable in it but everything else was amazing as normal

I lived in Kate's hill for 11 years and this was our closest Chinese which we always used. Would call my order then pop up and fetch it as we lived 3 mins walk away. Food was always good and tasty and if we had visiters and ordered a Chinese they always enjoyed the food from Hong Kong express. Moved 7 years ago and even though we live 4 miles away we still order (but have delivered) food from here. We tried a local Chinese once as Hong Kong express was closed and it tasted aweful in comparison. After being a customer for over 15+ years I've never had cold food, the wrong order or a meal that has made me I'll or sick. When I've called in and ordered by phone I've always had pleasant staff answer and do business with me. My only fault I miss their free calenders we'd get every new year.

Food was late when I rang after it was 1min late I was told it was ready but they were waiting for a driver that meant my food had been sitting around for at least 30 min before it got to me and not very hot or looking it's best atall. If you can't deliver on time don't accept the order or adjust your cooking time so it leaves your kitchen freshly cooked.

Ordered my meal for half 7 it was here by 25 to 8 very nice

Food was very nice, looking forward to ordering from this restaurant again. My only criticism is my meal came in a polystyrene trey (like a kebab). I prefer Chinese food out of a foil trey. Minor point and as I say the meal was very tasty, and was delivered in a timely manner. My only gripe was with the packaging.

The food was absolutely horrendous! Gravy powdery, I instantly spat the rice out it tastes like it’s been left for days! The chicken chowmein is clumps of chicken in water with noodles chucked on top! When I rang to complain the woman was so rude and said don’t order from here again! And il send my driver to collect the food! Now I’ve worked in food long enough to know a restaurant can not accept food back once it has been dispatched from the shop! So don’t order guys to have my send backs of rotten smelly food

More veg than anything in the chow mein,hardly any meat and noodles,chips very dry like theve been cooked for ages,chicken in fried rice wasn't nice and was very bland and piled high with alot of onion won't be ordering from there again what a waste of money as it went in the bin,prawn crackers had seen better days too

The food is always good, hot and well priced compared to other local options. They often deliver a little earlier than the estimated time suggests. Today, the estimated time for delivery was 35-50 minutes, but it arrived after about 20 minutes.

Absolutely disgusting, tasteless, chicken was not fresh, noodles was like shoe laces. Had to return the food and they argued about why the quality of the food was bad and reluctant to give refund. Don't waste ya money 👍 prawn crackers was okay though

Single handedly the ***WORST*** Chinese I have ever ordered from in all of my life. The food came 15 mins late, Friday night forgivable. Ordered £22 worth of food. Crispy duck was one of the dishes. it was freezing cold, grey dry and battered. Plated the food up everything was stone cold and purely inedible. Called the shop for either a replacement meal or a refund, on speaking to the member of staff quickly decided that a refund is what was due. The customer service was diabolical and after offering to take the food back to the shop to prove nothing was eaten was told “bring it up cause I can’t be arsed” staff got a young teenage boy to deal with the complaint instead of dealing with it theirselves which I find appalling. When arriving at the shop was made to wait while they thoroughly checked the food, even took it on the plate to prove nothing was eaten. Looked at hygiene rating it’s a 1. Will be reported further purely for the lack of respect and customer service.
