Food was mostly delicious & hot. Although the Singapore noodles had a slightly strange curry flavour so not sure I'd order those again.

A change from my usual Saturday night Chinese delivery, they're on holiday. Not as spicy as I was expecting but still a pleasant meal.

Ordered roast duck with cashew nuts, got normal duck with vegetables - so, completely the wrong dish. Chicken in batter was very very greasy. Bit disappointing.

Firstly looooong delivery time. Secondly, i ordered spicy chicken loaded fries but it does not state the chicken is breaded!! i cant eat breaded food and all i wanted was chicken and chips. waste of time and money. food was barely warm because of long delivery. at least hubby got a double portion but will not order again.

The food was so bad, we ended up throwing it in the bin. It tasted old, you could tell right away it was prepared a while ago and then extra bits added on top to make it look fresh and hide the bad flavour. The crispy chicken was soggy and had some odd tomato sauce on top. I would definitely not recommend this takeaway or order from it again. The only positive is that the food arrived extremely quick and person delivering was kind and pleasant.

Hong kitchen should be ashamed to sell what I was delivered as “salt and spicy crispy shredded beef” it was unidentifiable, it could have been dog biscuits for all I could tell. Whatever it was, it had been obliterated by the cooking process.

although we appreciate that it's new year's eve and very busy our expected delivery time was one hour. we waited three hours and received the wrong order.

Very disappointing, for the amount we paid. All very bland and stodgy. Not one to leave a bad review but I wouldn't recommend this takeaway at all. Maybe we were unlucky?

Not cooked fresh felt I’ll after and not worth money

lid wasn't on soup properly, so only had half in one tub, but everything else is superb, thank you

absolutely gorgeous food, and so much packed in , highly recommend

the rice was mediocre, and as expected. the chicken balls and chips however were fried to within an inch of their life resulting in them being inedible. curry sauce was good, the sweet and sour sauce tasted oddly like strawberries. the Chinese chicken tasted of salt and not much more. this was a very disappointing meal and we're not particularly fussy. we will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

I haven't had a takeaway from here in ages. Pre-ordered on our way home for evening delivery. It arrived 5 minutes early. The food was well cooked and tasty. Not too salty, the sauces were good too, none of those over thickened gloopy ones you sometimes find. Enjoyed my meal.

This was the worse curry I’ve had!! It was like a jelly like consistency and didn’t have a curry taste! The rice was gorgeous!!! The chicken balls were not greasy but were over cooked and the salt & pepper chips were overcooked and BLAND!! Will not return!

Don’t quite understand refusing orders less than £10 on card? I understand there are charges for card payments, but we are in 2024, and surely you lose more by turning customers to your nearest competitors 2 minutes up the road?

Shocking experience last time it was 2 hours and it was cold and man was very rude on the phone. This time they forgot my pancakes for my duck sent it half an hour later my food was cold and had the cheek to offer me a 5% discount. Very disappointed and man was rude on phone again. I ordered the Mix Hors D'oeuvres. This was over cooked to the point of being burnt. Salt and spicy prawns, I felt were poor quality and I have had a lot better.

Worst chinese I've ever had. The ribs were so tough I couldn't get the meat off the bone. The pork curry was oike chewing cardboard. The currys sauce was congealed and the worst I've tasted. The only good thing was the rice but how hard can it be to get that wrong? I won't eat here again.

High quality, equal portions of rice and curry 👍🏼 only criticism is that the curry was very mild compared to what I’m used to 🫥 (would suit a child ) hence only 4 stars, lots of meat and onions 👍🏼 delivered promptly (within 45 minutes) 👍🏼 would use again but would be 3-4 choice Thank you

Expensive prices but thought I would pay the extra expecting the food quality to be good. In fact the meal was nowhere near the quality of my local Chinese. Tiny little pieces of duck with rubbery fat, i will not use this place again

The chow main had a funny taste such a shame have used a couple of times thought we’d found a good Chinese but back to hunting again!!

Driver had a touch like a baby elephant no consideration chapping the door like the polis just grafter half 10pm. Curry sauce was congealed it had been lying for at least half an hour for that to occur. Over priced for inequality food. Enjoy the money yous won’t received as you wont gain another penny from us.

Ordered dinner tonight took hour and 20 mins to get too us on arrival the chips that went with my curry were cold both our curry's were luke warm and the prawn crackers were basically broken bits in a bag, usually don't have a problem with them but lately the quality has gone down hill and the delivery is taking longer and longer each time . Will go back too lucky chef from now on very disappointed won't be ordering again from here

First time using them. The food was lovely. Will order again. When I had a small problem with the delivery time put on the internet I called the takeaway and spoke to a really nice man who said he would try to get it to me more quickly. It was here within half an hour. Brilliant customer service.

We had shrimp with vege ( instead of anything else they put been sprouts there , really? ) had no taste the worst Chinese dish I had so far in Torquay And beef in black beans sauce, beef was cheewy, not well cooked . Rice with egg had no taste Wait a moment start to think I lost taste due to Covid. Wait nope ! Won't order again sorry Delivery took 2 hrs instead of 1,5 promised was quite long time to wait.

I once rated this the best Chinese takeaway I have ever used; even better than it is a minute walk from my mother in law's house in Plainmoor. What a shame that an obvious change in ownership has ruined it. My favourite Sam See Chow Mein is now tasteless Garbage. Please bring back your chef from days gone bye.

had special chow mein, special fried rice, honey thai chicken, mixed starter box and pancake rolls. starter box wax good, main meals were watery and bland. will not go here again, would not recommend 👎

We are here on holiday and decided to get a Chinese. Googled nearest Chinese takeaway and this 1 came up so decided to go as it was the closest. Absolutely beautiful food. Well worth the money (and it's not exactly expensive) and will definitely be ordering again before we go home

An update. It is true that good things don't last forever. Sorry Hong Kitchen, but bye, bye. I'm sure you'll be absolutely devastated to lose my custom after 10 years. It's a shame that your steadily increasing prices don't match the food, which has taken a nose dive. On 2 consecutive orders, food has been, at best, unpleasant and at worst, inedible. Crispy seaweed, not the most expensive item, I'll grant you, however when you buy something, you at least expect to be able to eat it. For some inexplicable reason it appeared you emptied half your sugar bowl into it. That headed straight for the bin. Next offender. Noodles. Now come on, this is a basic plain chow mein. It stank. It stank my entire kitchen out in fact. God knows what you managed to do, but whatever it was, I don't think I want to know. Another straight to the bin job.
