My wife and I visit the Honeypot cafe almost every week and were sitting next to the man that offended the previous two ladies. We were both taken aback by his rude manners which were completely out of order. However the staff were quite unaware of this and were also shocked when we told them what had occurred. We will be continuing to enjoy our regular visits to the lovely Honeypot where they serve excellent Coffee and Mombai Raliway Chai Tea It is also our grandchildren’s favourite cafe and a treat every available holiday to go and have a panini and an iced tea in the Honeypot.

Had a very awkward experience. My friend and I were having a chat when a man in the cafe asked us to keep the noise down as "he couldn't hear himself think". Some of his group laughed as if it were a joke and his delivery was really rude. The staff who worked there, who were otherwise lovely, didn't say anything or acknowledge it as we were leaving. Later on a lady we bumped into walking apologised and said he was a local and just grumpy. It is people visiting Shoreham that keeps a lot of these business running. A small village could not sustain numerous pubs and cafes without them and being rude is just unncessary. Really disappointed as otherwise everyone we meet in Shoreham, be it walkers or local businesses have been really friendly. Sadly won't be returning here.

Visited The Honey Pot in Shoreham yesterday with my friend and our daughters. The owners were wonderful with our girls and made us feel so welcome. Lunch was delicious and served quickly. Lunch bags for the kids was perfect for their ages and had lots of choices. We loved that it is just a short walk from the river in the heart of shoreham and we enjoyed the beautiful views while walking off our lunch. Looking forward to revisiting already.

The owner (man) is abrupt, rude and unwelcoming. Unfortunately we had to give this tearoom our custom as my brother with special needs needed food/drink, however if he wasn’t with us we would have moved on. I will not be coming here again, which is a shame because the ladies that work there are lovely, and the food was nice.

We stayed nearby for a family wedding and the staff were very accommodating in reserving a table for 12 of us for the following day. Menu had a lovely choice and the staff did say they could make something even if it wasn’t on their menu. The food was so good! We even purchased cakes and scones to take away. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

We've attempted to visit this cafe in the lovely village of Shoreham twice with no luck as it was always closed. Having learned that it's opened on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only we've finally managed to visit. Unfortunately, our experience was rather underwhelming. The cafe itself is very cramped and loud, which makes it almost impossible to have a conversation. The interior design is also rather cheap and the staff, while lovely, seems to struggle with keeping up with orders and serve the right drinks etc. The food offer is good, but quite pricey. There was also a weird low door in the entrance where you had to wait to enter or order if seated outside which made it impossible to use the toilet before disturbing the people standing there waiting.

Popped in as was driving around our local area. Saw this rea room and thought it looked nice and inviting. Obviously well supported by local community and it seems a nice stop off for walkers around the area. Nice little place, with small outside seating area which is a bonus Both had the cream tea, one with coffee one tea, both drinks good quality, nice to see the tea served in a small pot not just a cup. Scones were wonderful, warm and gorgeous with the clotted cream and jam. Definitely will be visiting again if ever in the area... Great tea room in a lovely village.

Out for a walk with a Friend & needed refreshment, had seen this Cafe’ advertising on the main road but not been there before. Friendly and helpful staff and varied menu at reasonable prices. We chose Coronation Chicken sandwiches which came with Crisps and tea & we enjoyed it all very much, will go again as a definite change from the Pubs in the area and much better food.

We stopped here for a light lunch on a hot Saturday afternoon, the menu wasn't extensive but the food was good and not too expensive. It made for a nice family dining experience, the staff were friendly and helpful. Don't expect a large meal, althought the big breakfast looked like it might require a hunger. One of the staff bakes the cakes.

I stopped here on Saturday as part of a long circular walk with a friend. We sat outside under a clear canopy and ordered at the stable door. It would appear that the inside was being kept for pre-booked customers but, as we the weather was beautiful, we were very happy to sit outside. We had lots of choice regarding exactly how we would like our sandwiches and they were both prompt and delicious. Everywhere was lovely and clean including the toilet. I will definitely return to sample more of the delicious cakes.

On Sunday 30th January, at about 2pm there was a relatively long queue outside the Honeypot with 3 if not 4 empty tables inside. Aerial Dave, as front of house, in a brusque manner denied entry to those wishing to eat inside whilst he dealt with takeaway clients or served inside. After 10 mins wait some clients were allowed in and then they had to wait a further 10 mins before they were offered service. No apology, just grudging service. Perhaps there was a staff shortage - the 2 ladies - one more senior and one younger were both charming. Customer relations are important and with the Spitfire cafe a 100 yards away, I should have gone there as Aerial Dave suggested when he initially denied me entry- as the coffee - Americano- was awful.

Stopped here for a cuppa and scone. Fabulous scone! Staff were excellent. We waited to be let in whilst our table was cleaned. Very impressed as we’ve been shielding since covid hit and felt very safe to go in as the door was open and tables were apart. We shared a scone and it’s got to be one of the best we’ve had for a long time. Great place to stop. Definitely recommend the Honey pot. Thank you!

It was quite expensive for a pint ale compared to other public houses around town. Food was quite a long wait in arriving , but it wasn't really worth the wait. The frozen cooked chips were the only hot thing on my plate. There are much better places to eat and drink around town.
