Ordered and paid £89.50. for a meal for 5 Delivery within 10 minutes of ordering!! VERY DISAPPOINTED, Worst Chinese meal ever, substandard, slimy and dry, awful !!! My opinion is possible reheats from earlier

Ordered delivery last night worst Chinese ever, crispy duck tasted old and dry, spare ribs fatty and greasy . Nothing tasted fresh we threw the whole order in bin complete waste of money. Definitely won’t be using this Chinese again.

My wife says this was the best Chinese food she's ever had! She loved the salt & chilli chicken and the house special chow mein. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and it was ready in 15 minutes. We would come again!

Tasty food, never had any issues here, price about the same as every where else. We have tried Chinatown, dreams & top chef, and though good there had always been one dish that let them down at some point. So we tried Honeymoon almost 2 years ago and since then they have been consistent and not let us down. Service is generally quick, portions are good and taste is lovely. We haven't needed to ask for any special dietary requirements yet so can't confirm how well they handle things like gluten free. They also do a loyalty scheme where you get a £1 voucher for every £10 spent. Only reason I'm giving 4* not 5 is that whilst the food is good, it doesn't stand out above the rest of the takeaways in town.

Bland, dry food. Hardly any meat in chicken chow-mein. More noodles than anything else. Hardly any veg either. Tasteless and disappointing !

New Years eve takeaway was absolutely lovely. Couldn't fault food value or friendly service. Our excellent dishes were Duck rice, Chilli beef sweet and sour Hong Kong Pork, chop suey and Vietnamese rolls Twice as much as we needed but delicious!

I like this place and always use it when visiting my elderly parents. My father loves the excellent bbq spare ribs which I’ve been taking into Bournemouth hospital for his lunch everyday and have really cheered him up. However I also had the chicken satay myself a few days ago and it was so foul (went in bin) plus I’ve still got a blister on my lip from the ridiculous microwave temperature that I have to give a below average review. Other dishes have also been hit and miss so I say to the nice guys running Happy Moon - lift your game guys and review the menu!

The last meal I had, in July, was excellent. Last week was not bad though the chicken satay starter was so revolting it went in the bin after one taste.

Tasteless curry, under cooked chicken, made me feel sick and bad stomach for quite a while. Also over priced. Give this place a miss.....

Best Chinese takeaway in Highcliffe

After reading the excellent reviews I ordered for a special occasion. Very disappointed. Most of the food went in the bin. Delivery driver was friendly but did not wear a mask and handed me the bags instead of leaving them and backing away. Would not use again.

Honestly the best I've ever tasted. So much so its given me confidence to try dishes I wouldn't normally risk.

Best Chinese, I have been going here for years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

If there is a better Chinese out there I would be surprised. From placing our order with an articulate lady, it was received on time and very very hot. The food quality was and is exceptional. If you haven't tried Honey Moon do it you will not be disappointed

The owners are so nice and friendly and great with my kids. During shielding they have been super understanding and very amenable with delivery, contactless payment and asking how we are. Oh and the food is always great - the mixed starter is a firm favourite!

First time ordering from here, 4 people getting all different things, only 3 people got what they ordered when it arrived, phoned to ask where the rest of the order was and they said I didn’t order it when we’re all convinced I did (maybe a simple mistake or lack of phone signal)! However, food wasn’t very good, noodles extremely dry with a weird aftertaste, chicken balls very plain and soggy, and chicken in breadcrumbs were quite pink (may still have been edible to some but put me off the meal completely)! And the price was ridiculous!! So unfortunately won’t be ordering from here again!

ordered Take away for delivery they seemed to struggle over the phone ..not impressed got wrong order and special fried rice was soggy gooey ..did not like so wasted ..the sweet sour chicken also slimy and rubbery chicken. Only plus was the pleasant delivery man

Gave us an incorrect dish and no drinks upon calling were told that they will give it to us next time standard of food was terrible and not appetising will not use again.

Delivery order for 5 on a Saturday night. 45 mins quoted, actual time was 1hr 3mins from putting phone down to delivery. Delivery man very friendly and honest (I nearly paid too much but he corrected me!) Food portion size was great. Food quality was good. I ordered Thai honey chilli chicken and crispy chilli beef (neither were too spicy). The former was delish, the latter not very crispy but still tasty. Sweet n sour chicken hk style went down well also. Would order from again. Pic is of the crispy chilli beef but that is only a part portion of both rice and beef, there was about 30-40% more where that came from...

Always lovely food and friendly service. Home delivery very quick...even when they are busy they still manage to get the food out to you in a reasonable time.

Tonight we had to wait well over a hour for our meal. When it arrived we had some of our order missing and the rest of our meal was cold. I then called to inform the staff were had some missing I was assured that it would be delivered it's now 3and a half hours since our last call and still nothing. Bad service !!! Cold food don't waste your call here!!!

Foods ok it passes but only just

Been to loads of Chinese restaurants and they have never quite got it right but this place is great everything on the menu is of a high quality I'm just happy that there is a decent Chinese restaurant so near my doorstep I recommend highly
