Gorgeous little cafe- and big shout out to the young girls who were working there. Nothing was too much trouble. Food scrumptious- from soups to brunch and cakes- we sampled lots! Can’t wait to go back on our next visit to the area

Very cluttered, cramped café. Dreadful cheese toasties, hardly any filling,,cheap white sliced bread, a handful of stale crisps… Won’t be returning

Arrived for morning coffee. Cafe looks cluttered with old sofa and lots of ‘stuff’ to purchase. Coffee is from a machine and in very large mugs. Watery tasting with a lack of any coffee. Tea cake was £4 - overpriced I felt. Scaffolding across the road (not their fault) but the noise of drilling was too much. Overall not a good experience when there are so many better cafes in poundbury.

Worst coffee I've tasted, stale cakes, dirty tables, and expensive. Visited the cafe up the hill a few days before and was served very good coffee and fresh cakes.

A fantastic cafe in beautiful Poundbury. Lots to choose from on the menu, the food is really great (if you have a sandwich add the beer chutney, it’s incredible) and the waitresses are really friendly. What more could you ask for?!

This cafe was very quiet at midday on Saturday It is easy to understand why. We had soup and a cheese scone each for £19. The cheese scone was sweet and awful. There was no cheese flavour to it. When I questioned the staff member she said it was definitely cheese. The soup was very tasty but very small. We would never return.

Overwhelmed, what fabulous service and care, the owner actually made a surprise celebratory cake for us and decorated the cafe inside which was reserved especially for us. The food was fantastic and the milk shakes are out of this world, all in all a very enjoyable afternoon. Thanks again Sarah and your team xxxx

Very enjoyable meal indeed and the service was excellent , we sat outside at a table as my daughter had her little dog with her which was lovely in the shade and a slight breeze, I don't agree with dogs being allowed in eating premises a was so glad they have a no dogs inside policy. We are now planning to go there to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary with the rest of the family.

Excellent free from menu, basically the same as the full menu but adapted for various dietary requirements. Friendly helpful staff and great food.

They do really excellent Milk Shakes here. Comprehensive list of varieties on offer, good size container & you can really taste the flavours. None of your 'watered down' syrups here. And served by very pleasant staff. A good & tasty experience!

Lovely little place. Food was good quality (bacon was very lean for example) Very good choice & options for dietary requirements (a separate gluten free menu & options for vegan/vegetarians) It was noticeable that tables & areas were cleaned immediately after customers left. The staff were very lovely & had a can do attitude. I’d highly recommend this little gem of a place.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The toasted sandwich I had (tuna and onion) was average and no salad, just a little pot of coleslaw which was not that nice to be honest and some crisps. My friend had brie and cranberry sandwich, there was too much cranberry sauce, very sweet and she could not taste the brie, she mentioned this to the waitress, who said nothing. Which was a shame. It was relaxed and a friendly space to be in. We ordered lemon and ginger winter warmer drink, but it tasted of warm apple juice and was very rich/intense flavour, not like lemon and ginger at all, again we mentioned this but had no reply. I think there is a lot of good effort going into the cafe but have had two lunches there now that have been average so maybe in future will go for a drink instead.

Visited here on a day trip to Poundbury - had lunch in the 'Camilla' but saved coffee for somewhere else. Luckily we found this charming little café in the Buttermarket - it overlooked parking, but with charming buildings surrounding this to look at this was not a problem. Friendly staff and a huge cake selection - I had a tasty 3-layer sponge cake - delicious & fresh with no scrimping on the cream & jam ! Would highly recommend :-D

Lovely hotel and friendly helpful staff. Pricey at £350 B&B with very average rooms but good breakfast, although service very slow. Sadly not accessible for those with mobility disorders as no lift, steep stairs and few accessible bathrooms However, marvellous for lunch or dinner on a day out

We had a great dinner at the Arts Club. The food was wonderful, the staff were excellent and, being a lovely summer evening, we dined outside in the pretty and surprisingly quiet courtyard.

We were camping just down the road this past weekend and decided to have a browse - I'm glad we did as there was much more to this farm shop than I was expecting. Lots of different produce and gifts type things all quite nicely set out. Some things were sensibly priced considering you do expect to pay a slight premium at a farm shop (postcards 50p, fresh scones £1, clotted cream £1.99), but some of the prices were a little shocking - there were loaves of fresh bread at £4.50 and I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the price of ice cream being served at the side of the car park! Overall a worthwhile trip - the scones were delicious, good selection of ciders and got some lovely warm slipper socks. I'd recommend popping in if you're passing (the views are fantastic too) just don't expect any bargains.

We wanted something less corporate for lunch and was pleased to find this cafe as it looked a little more old school and independent. The build your own breakfast offered great choice and when I said I fancied crumpets with marmite rather then the offered jam, was told this was fine. The crumpets came with a generous serving of marmite in a little bowl. This was a great find and having never been a fan of Dorchester improved my opinions if the town (finding the park also helped improve my opinion of the town) .
