Drove over for the first time hoping for a tasty lunch and to buy a few bits from the farm shop. When we entered the cafe we were struck by how dirty everywhere was and the amount of flies buzzing around. We dubiously took a seat and ordered some coffees and lunch. The coffees were served fairly quickly but we couldn't drink them as the actual cups and handles were scolding. My Americano had no crema top at all so we could only assume the coffee was just filter and had been heated in the microwave which would make sense as to why the cups were so hot. It took simply ages for the food to come, app 25 minutes, by which time we could just about pick up the cups. My Welsh Rarebit was served on bread not toast...unbelievable. Needless to say we did not visit the farm shop after, instead we made a hasty retreat never to return.

On a rainy Dorset morning we Popped in for coffee and a cooked breakfast. Perfect latte presented in charming pottery. But best of all was the local food particularly the amazing bacon!! My Eggs Benedict was delicious, made with bacon and perfect eggs. Across the table big thumbs up for the full English with added black pudding. Friendly staff who ensure tables are kept clean, much appreciated. Will be back and can only recommend.

Quite a disappointment. Breakfast Menu very restricted. I hate sausages, but menu said No Swappsies, so there they were on my plate. However everything tasted good, nice and hot, (stingy with the butter though) The biggest disappointment was the shop. I wanted to buy some preserves as gifts, but although they looked home made and aesthetically pleasing, but they were made in Cheshire!! Why? I want authentic Dorset produce. Anyway, they had local honey which was lovely. Last of all, difficult access for disabled. A step up into the cafe at both entrances. Oh, and the parking spaces need repainting. Very haphazard at the moment.

You should be ashamed of yourselves, once again, disgusting treatment of your staff. Every one of them is worth their weight in gold and this is what they get in return. I was told the other week you were reducing their hours, ok so November is a quiet month, now I’m reliably informed you’re letting them go. I bet the staff in your other businesses are sweating, and so near to Christmas too. Enjoy the new house you’re building , while your staff are struggling to pay their mortgages. Great food, service 2nd to none.

Ploughman’s for £12 had three very small pieces of quite old cheese and came with cheap sliced bread! Cheese and onion scone tasted like a day old as was quite tough when it had been heated. The farm shop was expensive and not stocked extremely well, looked as if they are struggling a bit. Looks better from the outside than in, wouldn’t visit again. Also loads of cars in car park but only two sets of customers, must be staff cars.

Really disappointed. Had to wait for a table which doesn't bother me as it's usually a sign that the place is popular/good. Had our two girls with us (4 and 6) and sat and watched a table of 4 finish their drinks and then just faff on their phones. Another couple at a table for two doing exactly the same. So I asked for the table for two which was free for the girls so that we could get them seated and their food ordered. One very expensive pancake and some beans on toast later, both other tables are still faffing on their phones. It would've taken little effort to ask either table if they planned on ordering more food/drinks, and if not, would they mind vacating the tables to let waiting (paying) customers to be seated. I'm sure the food would be great. For the price, I'd certainly hope so. Unfortunately, by the time we were ALL seated, the girls were almost finished and we'd lost our patience. So in summary; probably good food although pricey, but we lost our patience with the servers and their lack of abilty to turn tables around. You lost so much potential revenue from so many other potential paying customers walking out just in the time we were waiting. Just so that other people could occupy your tables and suck up your wifi.
