Live in Altrincham and been coming to the market for years. Visited at lunchtime with the family on Sat 5th Oct. Ordered three pizzas and waited an hour. Frustrating as people who arrived after us received their pizzas before us so something was wrong with the order the kitchen was making the pizzas. While the pizzas are tasty, they aren’t the cheapest and not worth waiting an hour for. Plenty of competition in Altrincham so we’ll be going elsewhere in future. Disappointing.

We ordered the garlic bread with cheese and it came drenched in green pesto - not what we ordered and not what it states on the menu. After questioning the chef he was extremely rude telling us it’s a “surprise” and laughing when I walked away. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and manor to speak to a customer. Never again. Hopefully they might take their service a little more serious after seeing this post so they don’t harm anyone with allergies!!

Oh dear what has gone wrong at Altrincham Market? The pizza’s from Honest Crust were honestly awful and hugely disappointing. 2 pizzas for £25 and they were soggy, undercooked, not well cut and unappetising. Very very disappointing. When we mentioned this to the server who we’d pre- tipped on the app we were given the cold shoulder and told she couldn’t help.

Woodfired pizza oven, producing the tastiest crust!

Unfortunately you can only order pizza via the app. Very customer-unfriendly if you are rarely here. Unfortunately the Cesar salad is much worse than it used to be. The price has increased and there were no anchovies and croutons on our small salad.

Sadly I found the pizza crust to be limp, undercooked and low on flavour. My small cesar salad, advertised as including “anchovies” came with just one! A bit stingy I felt. The server seemed unsympathetic and uninterested when politely challenged on this, merely saying she would pass my feedback onto the owner. I felt unvalued as a customer. Shame :(

Quality good, but becoming a bit of a rip off, paid £17 for a pepperoni with some added olives. Sizes of pizza now are getting smaller and smaller and prices are getting steeper, no kids options. Considering other places you pay £15 for the most expensive pizza which are much bigger, plus they provide full table service no justification. Owners have become too greedy.

***Updated after feedback from owner. My partner was told by the person that he spoke to that the hot sauce would be £4, definitely not the £1.70 stated below. I'm sorry we didn't get his name, otherwise we would provide it. It now seems as though you are questioning our honesty, which I must say doesn’t sit too well with us... Tasty pizza, but customer service wasn't great. We'd paid £11 for a margarita, and when the waitress came over we asked for some hot sauce to go with it. She said we'd need to get it from where we ordered, and when my partner asked the guy from Honest Crust, they asked him to pay £4 for it! My partners reply was quite rightly "I want a few drops on my pizza, not buy the bottle!" and so they gave us some chilli oil for free. I just think if you're paying £11 for a basic pizza the condiments should come as part of the dish.

This place has never disappointed me, but the Caesar salad leaves a lot to be desired, it is the most depressing thing I have ever eaten in my life, the dressing has no flavor at all, is just a bottle of salad dressing. The only good and that you can enjoy are the croutons, They should sell them separately to eat them as snacks.

We ate here after going to the cinema nearby. It’s a quirky venue, inside Altrincham food market. Stalls sit round the outside with tables in the middle. You place your order and then the pizza is brought over to you - ours took about 15 mins. The pizza was really tasty - great, puffy crust, tasty tomato sauce, and excellent salami. However it was let down by the fact that the sauce is very sloppy and wet. This makes the whole pizza base really soggy; with the exception of the crust it was like eating a floppy pancake! Not worth the money in my option - £11 is a lot for a sub standard pizza.

We visited the Altrincham Market for dinner as a group. There were so many great choices. Honest Crust was one of the locations we tried. The pizza was very good, I chose to not give it excellent only because I am not a huge fan of pizza with Olive Oil, it makes it a little soggy although the taste was very good. I highly recommend the market, I have to say though my favorite was the flank steak at the Tender Cow. But you can not go wrong with Pizza from Honest Crust. Reasonably good pizza though a bit too focused on style rather than taste. The main draw is that it's part of the communal Altrincham market space and they have a pizza oven (with dour twirled in front of your eyes). The pizza does look very pretty, and there's a decent menu to choose from. The ingredients are ok, it's a good base (a bit burnt), the tomato sauce comes through well enough though the mozzarella wasn't very notable. Service is quick and to the point. It's a generous portion, a good meal and a fair shout at an authentic Italian pizza.

Third and last visit honest crust. Rude arrogant staff with no customer service skills whatsoever - one does not expect, on requesting to add an item to the set-in-stone, limited menu, to be scowled at and told grudgingly 'I suppose so'. I wouldn't mind if the pizze they serve was all that but no - very poor approximations of authentic Italian pizze. It's a captive audience in the market Hall. Much much better to go to pix pizza around the corner for authenticity and I should know as I had my first pizza in Venice 47 years ago and on many visits to Italy since.

Great tasting authentic Naples pizza! Made with passion and love with quality ingredients. For the price the sizes could be enlarged as the time it takes to eat it outweighs the wait for it to be made then served. I had almost finished mine before my friend's arrived ordered 2 minutes after mine and I left tad peckish for more! All over in minutes and a base so thin cutlery is not required for it tears so can be eaten the traditional way. However I am in firm agreement with other recent reviews I did find of late the base particularly thin and lacking its crispiness of previous earlier visits.

Nice location in Altrincham Market with good service. My pizza however was small, undercooked and soggy. The price was the most offensive part of the experience. The pizza was £14. £12 + £2 for mushroom. I mean mushroom singular as it was less than a full mushroom. When I questioned it even the staff agreed it was cheeky. It takes serious plums to charge £14 for a small, soggy pizza with an added mushroom.

They haven't used the word 'honest' lightly. My pizza today was quite simply the best I've experienced outside Italy. Fennel sausage and pistachio? what a combination for the tastebuds! (and rightly without the tomato sauce which would have distracted from this great taste combination). There's (fortunately) no glamour at this venue shared with other purveyor's of what appears to be great food and drink - but the place oozes authenticity and is an example of how a lovely old building can still find a use in a traditional town centre. People still flock to this old indoor market area but now it's to buy and taste at the same time. A shame we live so far away in East Anglia otherwise we'd be back next week!

The pizzas here are consistently outstanding and true to the originals you get in Naples. The dough has the right amount of chew and char giving it a wonderful flavour. The toppings are high in quality and combinations compliment one another. To those who think it's dear, have a Pizza Hut version and you'll see why it's not £6 a pizza. You are paying for quality, and that is what you get. I love it here, it's the best in Altrincham....the North West to come to think of it. How good are the pizzas? Right up there with Double 00 in Chorlton (but not with the wider range; BYOB or Gluten Free options) or Proove in Didsbury (Again, with a wider range, better parking and the ability to reserve a table - pizzas at Proove don't take an hour to deliver). Let's dispense with the pizzas and focus on the positive points. The space is lovely, the location central (for Altrincham) and has a variety of eclectic food outlets akin to a Hipster food court. There's small alcove for toddlers that's well provisioned with soft toys and books. The downside is that your table is liable to get pinched by someone else unless you can provide a 'towel on the deck chair' so to speak. Prices are upmarket, but not exorbitantly so. If it's pizza you're after then don't forget that there are 2 ovens. One indoor and the other outside in the corner of the awnings.

A great healthy takeaway, only dropping a star in the past due to its use of polystyrene, but they have sorted that now so I have nothing to complain about now!

Had the small plates which were nice, had a family outing her for the whole night and the staff was lovely! Saturday night as well, so atmosphere was great :)

I ordered a pepperoni pizza and when I opened the box up or a little bit of oil spill out and when I took a bite of the pizza, the pizza was really cold as if it’s been left out for 15 minutes really disappointed

Pizzas were spot on as usual - never get let down there. Would recommend to anyone thinking of trying it - ham and olives a personal favourite
