Their food was really good and relatively healthy. We sometimes get sick after eating oily, salty Chinese food but the flavor was well-balanced. I wish the waitress was less desperate though. She came to our table every 30 seconds and we couldn’t focus on the menu.

Waited over 2 hours for a takeaway delivery last night, which unsurprisingly arrived cold. Will not be using this restaurant again and wouldn't recommend others do either.

Delicious food very friendly staff

Lovely little place to eat, just down from St James metro, past the chicken cottage. Lovely friendly staff who took time to explain some of the ingredients in the food for me. The restaurant is clean and tidy and the food is really really nice. You get plenty for your money, I had hot and sour soup oooh Bliddy lovely, spicy but I love spice.reaky reasonable priced The restaurant is lovely decorated and has accessible entrance and toilet.im afraid that's what let in down for me the toilets. Not much toilet roll in either toilet and 1 toilet was out of order and the one I used had flashing light it was like having disco lights while weeing😅no soap in the 2 hand soap dispenser and no hand dryer just toilet roll or tea towel for hands. Saying that the food was lovely and so I will return. Plenty of buses run close by. they offer take away and delivery also I have recommended to friends and family 🙂

Good food and good service ! The curry is delicious, the stir fried morning glory is so yummy ! The hot and sour fish soup is in big portion and good for share 👍🏻

From walking in the service was shocking, waitress with no understanding of the English language or even their own menu, I resorted to using google to show her pictures of food as there was no other way to explain what ww wanted, as a result of the language barrier most of our order was wrong with both missing and duplicated items. No plates or cutlery we were using the side plates to eat from. Both the glasses and the cans of pop were dirty. Will definitely not recommend or return.

I visit once a week. Food is great. Good value for money. Pleasant staff.

For a restaurant that is not owned by malaysians, the malaysian dishes are pretty authentic. 👍🏻

This place really lets me feel at home. I love the food and stuffs. Foods are very freshly n healthy. Hope all of you can try it.

The food is nice but this place is illegal business, my chinese friend worked here and i’ve witnessed how bad this is, they offer £6 an hour but they only pay £20-35 for working 10-12 hours most of the time claiming you’re trial staff, and they pretend they’re nice while in fact they’re expect you to do a lot more than what the job is supposed to be, force you to wash stuff with hot water without providing gloves etc. I’m writing here because this is serious while there’s no way I can report this else where, and the restaurant take all the tips that the customers giving to the staff as well, even the customer said it’s for specific staff, the restaurant still took it all. Underpay, overwork, illegal business and cruel owners, don’t be blinded by their smile, it’s all fake. I have all the evidence to make this comment.

Usually love this place always usually pop in when I’m in town or Iv had delivery quite a few times but last night the food delivered was shocking it was inedible I ordered youtaio it didn’t seem like there was any prawn in and it was rock solid I couldn’t even bite through it the chicken ball salad looked black inside was freezing and barley no sauce the full thing went in the bin tried asking Deliveroo for a refund but it wouldn’t let me Iv tried messaging home flavour on instagram but no reply as in yet. I’m so disappointed because this is usually one of my favourite places to eat first time Iv ever had bad food what went so wrong? Iv got pictures and videos to prove how bad it was it really was inedible

Amazing food again. The salt and pepper chicken is the best we’ve had. Same goes for the Roast duck and pancakes. The best. Will be back for sure. Service was great and staff very friendly and helpful.

Been eating at Home Flavour for some time now, the food is very nice, the decor is basic but don't let that put you off. They use high quality, fresh food and all very flavourful. I would recommend trying the Butter Prawns if you don't mind garlic, they're very tasty. Prices are a little on the expensive side, especially for sides like rice but it's worth trying.

📍Home Flavour @ Newcastle Chinese food with a homely fusion of flavours from all over Asia - China, Hong Kong, Malaysia & Singapore (what else did I miss?). 🍛From Rendang to Nasi Lemak to SiChuan to Curries, they've really got quite a variety of dishes here! The interior is warmly lit and the atmosphere is lovely. The cuisine served here was most pleasant to the tongue. We had: 🍜Signature Sour & Spicy Glass Noodles with Fish 🍆Aubergine & Minced Chicken Claypot Stew 🍗Salt & Pepper Chicken 🥬Stir-Fried Chinese Cabbage Every dish we had we thoroughly enjoyed. Rich-tasting, artfully presented and delicious. Perhaps, due to our Malaysian-bred taste buds, the only dish we weren't too keen of was the stir-fried Chinese Cabbage. The herbs used were rather different than we expected it to be. But very likely, that's just us. 😁I'll come back again. Great time spent with fellow Malaysian buddies!

The best hot and sour soup I have ever eaten and I have eaten lots! I also ordered oil noodles and fermented bean curd veggies. They were perfect. This is a must eat if you enjoy Chinese food!

Been coming here for a while now. Food is always very nice, authentic Malaysian food with extremely friendly staff. Would highly recommend, sometimes does not look busy but they always serve, definitely worth a try.

The restaurant opens 7 days a week, I could order food from the Hungrypanda and their own website which is convenient and happy with the experience. The food was absolutely delicious, nice packages, also good chef and staff. 家味道，好味道！
