Holywell Pizza in Northumberland

I've ordered pizza before and arrived hot.tonight ordered kebab for a change.bloody awful.pita bread hard.meat cold.in the bin it went.

Website says you get a free promo garlic bread for spending over £25.00 which you do not get, rang up to complain about this and staff were not interested says error with website but no compensation for this. Very disappointed as this was for my child.

Rang up and asked for allergy advice on Shish and Chicken Kebab as my son has a dairy and gluten allergy. Lady on the phone basically just said she didn't know as they were mixed with 'a lot of stuff', to which I said 'so basically you don't know what's in them', 'no' she responded. Pretty piss poor really, 3 adults and 1 child order lost there.

Use this place regularly for pizzas and always 5⭐ but ordered 2 mixed kebabs and a mixed wrap, all 3 of us commented the same, chicken was lovely but doner meat and pittas were very dry. Expected better for a Saturday night, thought everything would be nice and fresh!?!

I ordered extra chips by accident, called them up to take the extra chips off the order and they were very rude with the way they were handling it. They kept saying to add extra chips and with me repeatedly saying no but they still kept asked. Repeatedly saying i wanted to take the extra chips off but they wouldn't do it and hung up on me. At the end i still got the extra chips that i didn’t want and wasted my money.

Food was cold and poor quality. Nearly 2 hour wait and can buy much nicer food from cheaper places .

Waited 2 hours for pizza so far and it’s still not here after being told it’s on its way after ringing an hour ago

Ordered through just eat, given 1 hour delivery. At 90 minutes contacted restaurant and was told food on way. At 2 hours called restaurant again and told it had just left restaurant. Gave reason that they are busy. Food never arrived and restaurant eventually closed without update

This place used to be the best takeaway around but oh my, how times have changed. Last night we received 2 dreadful tasteless pizzas, a burnt garlic bread and a portion of average chips, at least they couldn’t mess up the bottle of Diet Coke. Never Again!!!

Spot on, as always. We order roughy once a month and have never been disappointed. Always surprised by the negative reviews we see on here. We generally order 2 pizzas (a medium and a large) and get a free cheese garlic bread. Less than £22 for collection and always more than we need to feed the 3 of us. Good value for money in our opinion. Staff have always been friendly and polite and tonight was no different.

Ordered via just eat. The food arrived 40 min before earliest delivery time ( 45 min difference between early and latest ) I called to question if the food was freshly cooked, reasonable I think? The ‘ manager ‘ screamed at me down the phone and before I could tell him, told me they would not deliver to me again! . I may be wrong , but if I’m feeding my family and spending £19.49 ( to be accurate ) am I not allowed to question if the food is freshly cooked? Bearing in mind the amazing delivery speed? I can’t give them anything more than 0-10 the food wasn’t even tasty, chewy and bland. Sorry

Absolutely disgusting customer service by this place, the staff are absolutely rude and never a admit when customer is right, food is rank aswell, also heard a member of staff followed a under age girl home, stay away from this place absolute wrongins

Terrible takeaway, food took nearly 2hrs to arrive, everything was like cardboard, chicken was tough as old boots.. the "mega wrap" is just a pizza base wrapped around over cooked dry kebab.. won't be going here again.

Ordered food from Holywell Pizza for 5 years now ....always excellent. Have had kebabs, big mama boxes and pizzas...just always really good and fresh.

Food didn't arrive after over 2 hours. Restaurants response was we only have 2 drivers and its on its way, each time we rang. On the final occasion we rang I was told to cancel even though he said it was on its way. Driver rang after 3 hours to say he was outside my house. 100% was not. Argued even though I was stood outside my front door and not a car in the street. Poor poor poor One very hungry family.

Twice I’ve had food from here now & the next day I always end up having such a bad stomach. Will not be ordering again, I’ve got work this morning & im having to deal with feeling sick. Cheese burger was chewy as anything, chips were chewy and the box was soggy and wripped a little.

Do not eat from here we ordered food around 8pm and after a few calls after an hour asking where the food is all I got was its on its way at around 10.15pm is when I got the food and cold.

Outraged!!! We’ve ordered from here regularly. An employee of theirs waited for my under age daughter, at our local corner shop and followed her home. Bearing in mind he’d been served before her. He told her she was beautiful and attractive. She was left feeling frightened and unsafe. We complained to Holywell and the owner. We thought he’d been stopped from working there, but see him braisently walking past our house to work in Holywell pizza. Absolutely won’t order food from here again. Can’t believe the owner condones this behaviour. Disgusting thing, keep your eyes off little girls!!! The 1 with a big forehead.

I ordered a kebab from here yesterday, after 15 minutes after eating it I had to run to the toilet as I had severe stomach pain. Never again will I eat from here.

Ordered one of the specials, 2 pizza’s , garlic bread & chips, my 86 year old dad collected and was given burnt dry garlic bread (like cardboard) & dry chips (with the 2 pizzas, which were also over cooked) and a warm bottle of pop, needless to say we will NOT be returning.

My family ordered regularly from Holywell Pizza. An employee of theirs waited for my under age daughter at our local Premier shop and followed her home. He told her how beautiful and attractive she was. She was left feeling frightened and unsafe. We complained to co workers and owner. We believed he’d been stopped from working there. We’ve now seen him a few times passing our house and working in the shop again. Absolutely won’t be ordering food from these people again as they must condone this behaviour. DISGUSTING PERSON! Keep your eyes off little girls!!!

Do not order from here. I never leave reviews normally but we have waited over 2 hours for delivery. I called and spoke to the guy 3 times. My husband also spoke to him.....he....not only lied but is an arrogant, ignorant man. He thought I was someone else so obviously a Jill is having the same problems....absolutely unprofessional...unaccommodating....put the phone down on me when I asked if they were actually coming as my husband is a diabetic and i asked if they arent coming and if we need to cook I need to know......Holy mother!!!!! ordered at 18.10 still waiting at 19.50 despite calls from the two of us-and despite numerous promises of delivery “in 20 minutes” we called again to be told they won’t deliver and hung up !! absolutely disgraceful would never recommend this bunch of cowboys to anyone, my advice… stay away

Ordered chicken shish and salad the man taking my order couldn't understand much English. 4 hours after eating the kebab I couldn't get off the toilet had to take the following day off work. Will never go back

Called in while on night shift, we got two mixed kebabs, with salad. Once done we got a free 10 inch garlic bread ! The kebab was one of the best I've ever had, even my mate said the same, great taste and well presented

Hollywell Pizza wraps were great at one time, unfortunately today I had the worst one ever..Half the length and the chicken was sliced to 5mm thick 😡😡😡and that’s screwed chicken by the way, won’t be going back in a long time unless you sort things out…

Poor service yet again! Over an hour and a half since we ordered and still waiting! Rang the shop to be told the driver has left the shop (they say that every time) they are quick enough to take your money just not quite so quick to give you what you ordered. Last time this happened the food was stone cold. Time to find somewhere new I think

If I could of gave it zero stars I would of, absolutely disgusting attitude, I placed my order for the first time while visiting family, 3 times I told the man on the phone the address (very poor english) so i took my time to spell it out slowly and got told 45mins, had a missed call from delivery driver who said the address didn't exist and a woman came to the door and said she hadn't ordered, so what is it? It didn't exist or the woman hadn't ordered?! I said well that wasn't me and I was stood outside waiting for him. Tried ringing again he didn't answer then when I rang the shop back I got told it wasn't their problem and to ring the driver! I won't be using that place I'm actually surprised they have any custom at all now looking on previous reviews.

Do not order here!!!! They stole £20 from me. Never received my order, called the restaurant, but due to it being a late order they had closed. I rang the next morning and was told they can't help me. The man on the phone was rude and disrespectful and hung up on me when I asked to speak to the manager.

Rude staff I ring up to place order and guy on phone said sorry can't hear u speak English sorry but I'm English I was born hear and this will be getting report to the police 🚨 I will not stand for this how many more people have these done this to how many kids first time trying I will never be come back and I will make sure my family dont as well and this is being reposted on Facebook,twitter and instagram as why should we stand for it As for food chicken gyro was not wot it is it should always come with salad and mint sauce on that is a gyro Only good thing about this company is the delivery driver was polite and well spoken for the delivery driver 10 out of 10

Wow you've put the prices up AGAIN and by about 15%. How many times do you think people will tolerate these rip off increases way above the cost of living rise. £8.30 for a 1/2 pound cheeseburger and half a dozen chips, £1.40 for a can of pop. No thanks won't be back you are taking the mick, the food is the same as most places so not special.

Not the usual standard. Chilli sauce was more like siracha, wrap was burnt and chips were very dry. Think I’ll give it a while before trying again.

My mam ordered me a kebab pizza 2 days ago I ate a slice noticed it didn't taste right then early hours in morning I started to get severe sickness and diorhea and it has now lasted 2 days can't even keep fluids down.

Chips were cold dried up rubbish they certainly were not fresh , they are the worse chips I’ve ever tasted , they ended up in the bin , I won’t be buying anymore from Holywell because serving chips that bad they clearly have no standards

Order some food from this restaurant online. The food was never prepared or delivered. When contacted a couple of hours later for an update, the restaurant staff were unbelievably rude, indifferent and racist.

Love Hollywell. Lamb Chop box is my absolute favourite. Only place I know that does lamb chops.

Food is decent. Their ability to get an order correct remains to be seen. Ordered a create your own pizza, did not ask for it to be folded, arrived folded and was missing a topping.

Food was a tiny bit late, but a free garlic bread and cheese and a lovely dinner was just what was needed. Top tier "dirty" scran, ten out of ten would bang.

Ordered at 19.15 told 20.05 for delivery still waiting at 20.40 that’s why I stopped ordering but thought I’d give them another try 3 yrs later still the same

Ordered one day and had chicken donner meat (sliced checken) so next time Ordered chicken donner wrap got chicken chunks with donner kebab meat rang up to tell them and weren't interested and very rude.

Some items from my order were missing, when I called to ask why I was told "That doesnt come with that order" despite it being on the website detailed as such. I was then given the :"its not our fault.." despite it being their website.. so whos fault is it? I tried this place instead of my usual pizza shop, never again!

Well my mam orderd a burger last night, it came with only a few chips and the burger was mouldy and not to mention when my mam rang up to tell them the back chat and cheack from them was disgraceful

Just ordered a calzone from here and I have to say I am very disappointed you do realise a calzone is supposed to be a folded pizza which is not what I got next time someone places a order for a one make sure you actually do it right because I am disgusted and you can see why I am on that photo.

Nice chicken kebab but way overpriced at £9.50 each

Just had the pizza here. Teenage son loves the happy hour 4-8 pizza deals. Small (which is huge) is 5 pounds …… Neopolitan is very good. Very much deep dish. I would have liked a bit more crunch in the base - its a bit like pitta. In terms of ingredient quality and price it’s a great deal. Son had meat lover’s, not my scene but had lots of meat. Great use of flavourful green peppers too. I recommend a visit for the pizza deals.

Waited an hour and 40 minutes and had to call to check it was coming then it arrived cold, jokingly said to the delivery driver is it busy and she said yh I got another 4 orders in my car to go. I'm positive I wasn't the first person on that got their food and the wedges had burnt through the packaging but were cold when I got them. Not to mention the stuffed crust that had hard cheese in it.

Not sure what is going on with this place!!!! We usually order the chicken kebab as always so tasty.... ordered a few weeks back & it was so spicy I couldn't eat it. Rang and was told not sure why but would follow it up. Thought we would give it another go tonight but tried the wrap. It was basically a pizza base with chicken & chips inside, dry & everything was cold. Sorry but we won't be giving you another chance!!

Absolutely rotten ordered chicken nuggets and chips and kebab pizza,, pizza was alright not the best but chicken nuggets weren't that hard and burnt i could of put a window out with them

Ordered today, pizzas we're just warm to say the least base was undercooked...also delivery driver was agitated as he had mentioned that he'd knocked at the door for some time...we have a door bell which he didn't use my son was upstairs who said he heard nothing we heard nothing in the front room either...quite disappointed to be honest we've never had this issue before with anyone who knocks.

This place used to be so reliable and great food.. seems to be the theme on here and just eat that this place has gone completely down hill maybe it’s the focus on the new Heaton branch.. shocking food tonight (pictures attached) phoned up to complain and told there’s nothing we can to do the manager is not in.. so now out of pocket with food in the bin. Never have I experienced food as bad as this. We used to come here all the time and it was nice. Last nights takeaway though is shameful. The pizza was tasteless, not even sure how that's possible with the toppings we had. The pizza bases taste like cardboard, need serious evaluation on seasoning. The real shocker was the chicken 'kebab'. This was chicken, wrapped in a PIZZA BASE and not a wrap. I jokingly said to my partner what is that brick of food, then we realised what it was. Was also dry horrible chicken and again a flavourless pizza base. Not only that, a friend said he'd been poorly after a takeaway here the other day, and we have now experienced the same. Avoid, and Holywell please sort it out

Went tonight with a really complicated order 2 x dinners with a couple of chips 1 with garlic sauce 1 with chilli I also asked for a couple of chilli peppers was told I would have to change a chips for salad I said it's just 2 x chilli's but to no avail so cancelled order and won't go back been going for 8 years. Big shout out to pizzanaz in completing this complicated order

Popped in here 1 night after work as was starving, about 10.30pm, got a double grilled chicken burger and chips and was well impressed. Told wor lass about it and she put it down to being so hungry as to why it tasted so good. Since then we have ordered, more than once, the food is spot on, realy nice and always on time. Its been late once and we got a free garlic pizza and never even rang for it, was only 5 minutes late but hey i wont knock a free garlic pizza.

Excellent tuna and onion pizza and kebab wrap was MASSIVE (wrapped in a margarita pizza).

Food was okay, but ordered a shawarma a wrap and it was 3 chunks of chicken and a chunk of steak in pizza dough. Although it tasted nice, that's not a shawarma. Their pizzas are fantastic though

Went into shop and placed order of 2 pizzas and 1 kebab. No staff wearing masks. Once we returned home one of the pizzas was not the one we had ordered. Phoned the shop and never heard of staff talking to a customer like that. No apology, just tried to insist we were wrong. Offered to replace it but only if we came back from cramlington to get it, the abruptly slammed the phone down. Customer service could vastly be improved along with listening skills! Need to ensure they take down orders correctly.

Regularly go here but ordered two wraps and with a maximum 1 hour promise to have food delivered, after being lied to twice with phone calls and waiting over 1 hour amd 40 minutes for our food! Thing that agrevated me the most was being lied to if your in this business step up and face the consequences of astonishingly disgraceful service. Your here for a reason and it didn’t live up to standards tonight! Disgraceful service disgraceful people!! .. you are poor entities

i ordered a spicy chicken pizza 2 days ago and havnt ate a single bit of food since due to food poisoning very dissapointed

We went into Holywell Kebab this evening, asked if a kebab wrap was available and were advised that a wrap was available “with a pizza base for the bread”. I would note that any regular person wouldn’t assume this contains pizza toppings (including cheese which I do not eat) from the description given. Pizza BASE does not equate to a full pizza. I’m now £15 down on food that I can’t even consume because Holywell staff are seemingly unaware of what’s even on their menu. Appalling service.

Quick service, went into the shop and ordered 2 pizzas. The quality of the pizza was reflected in the price i.e. not great but not disgusting.

Was recommended to order from here. Ordered 3 meals. One being a chicken kebab wrap. Arrived on time but the wrap came with hard, cold, dry donner meat and a few measly bits of chicken wrapped in what looking like a giant Yorkshire pudding, bland, tasteless. Called to rectify and was rudely told that never in 7 years has someone complained. Asked for a refund and was told no, I'm a new customer. Stay well away, definitely won't be ordering again or recommending.

As we were charge more than it should of been i thought might be a simple mistake but after againg getting charged more i now think this is a common thing so please check your prices with what they charge over the phone and yeah i did add in delivery.

Speedy delivery 35 mins. Pizza dough not cooked 100% as a little doughy still. Offer 5 well worth it but far too much food even for 3.

The driest thing in the world! We ordered what is meant to be the Lucifer Burger. They don’t do the fried chicken at Holywell.. Chips were dry and a day old. Burger was two frozen chicken breasts and a burger van burger... for £23 this was absolute rubbish. Sounds from other reviews they’ve gone down hill. Don’t waste your money here.

DISGUSTING!!! Asked for a wrap got a loaf! The chicken was that raw it’s gonna start laying eggs in the kitchen liften! Never again 🤢
