We had a table booked and it got cancelled on the day due to "not having any other tables". Will not try again

Very pretty and clean, good service BUT their squishy out butter! Tasted like margarine. At those prices should have plugra or at least land of lakes. That soft stuff is the living end.

This is consistently our favourite restaurant, and our recent visit I think was the best meal I have had anywhere in a long time. Great location, great atmosphere, decor, lovely loos (important to me!) amazing food, subtle attentive service. We love it and wholeheartedly recommend

Live music, Great service, friendly warm welcome as we arrived, what more could you want My family arrived at Hive and the decor and ambience was just lovely, a great live band playing in the garden and a friendly smile on arrival I must admit Hive is on the expensive side but I'm telling you it is worth every penny, I had scallops,cauliflower and one of the best dishes I've had in many years I can tell you I love scallops. My wife had Sea bass and it looked the part also.

2nd visit to Hive and we won’t be back. Limited menu, awful service and way too pricey for what it is. We ordered sirloin steak and the risotto. The steak was small and over cooked and the risotto was tasteless. It was topped of by a ‘cheese board’ of 2 small slabs of the same cheese and chutney. Such a shame

After searching in both tunbridge wells and Sevenoaks we found the lovely Hive to host my sisters baby shower. Accommodating and flexible with our particular needs they couldn’t do enough for us. Tom is professional, patient and personable and the food he prepared for us was wonderful. If you are planning an event this lovely venue and great staff are sure to make it go perfectly - I cannot recommend The Hive enough!

What a wonderful food experience!!! The Restaurant's interior is cool and modern, staff are very friendly and efficient. The food was divine, every dish that came out was perfectly cooked and delicious. It's my second meal in a couple of weeks, I highly recommend this Restaurant. Just trying to find an excuse to go again.

just had a really lovely sunday lunch at my favourite spot in Sevenoaks,we had such a nice afternoon and chose to eat off the sunday lunch menu which was small but fantastic, i really cant tell you how much we love this place, great food,great music, kind staff and wine you wont find anywhere else in Sevenoaks

Wow! I rarely review but this is the second time I have been here in 2 years since change of hands and service still remains terrible. Run by no management. First of all, only given a drinks menu, ordered, waitress came back and said the wine that was £19 was actually £95, reordered. Food menu came later. Ordered. Then told needed to get cash and couldn’t accept card! Food came. Lovely food. Ordered more wine, no wine came for dinner. Waitress never came again. No one came to table throughout meal. Complained about an hour later. Waitress not happy and very bristly. Another waitress offered reduction but still no wine and no dessert request. Now 10.30pm no further wine. To be honest you could have walked out and probably no one would have notice or cared. Would not recommend and feel bad for chef- who was actually amazing

We Booked again as we knew this place would not let us down, booked with 3 friends on a music night. the band "Cafe society" was amazing, what an amazing ambience! Great food, great wine and service from this little gem in sevenoaks, I would highly recommend this place for any kind of occasion.

Great food excellently prepared with the finest ingredients, personal and attentive service (including the head chef coming out personally during a busy period to talk through the menu with one of our party who was lactose intolerant) and a wide selection of wines, beers etc. The outside courtyard is lovely and inside the restaurant a nice subtly modern feel. Spotless wash rooms. We eat out in Sevenoaks a lot. This is the best of its kind.

We came to hive on Saturday afternoon, we heard the music from the small courtyard restaurant and it was a must to go and try Food was lovely, we chose the small plates option and this was perfect for us as it was a very hot day. We both had Burratta and I must say it was stunning in presentation and taste. Service was attentive and non intrusive.

The outside area looks very pretty on a summery evening. We ate inside which had less of an atmosphere. Service was fine and the food arrived promptly. The prices are high and the menu is a little bit limited. Everything we tried was good except for a dry sticky toffee pudding. The kimchi wings were our favourite. A better selection of soft drinks would be good (including tomato juice).

It’s the third time that we go to the Hive, and this visit was so disappointing. It seems that the Firstly, the menu was limited. Secondly, contrary to our previous visits, we weren’t offered an appetiser to keep us waiting or a delicacy while paying the bill. It took a long time to order the drinks. - the cocktail was not right, diluted with water; we asked for another one. The main course, a sirloin steak, was overcook and the sauce inexistant. I would have preferred to have interesting vegetables rather than fried as a side. It felt to much like a « pub » meal. The dessert: a chocolate mousse : not intense, to sweet. Nonetheless, the presentation was still good and the service attentive. In the end, the quality of the dining didn’t match the expensive meal.

Hive was on our list for quite a while, and definatly lived up to expectations. We Arrived at Hive and were sat in a beautifully dressed outside area, acoustic guitarist was in full swing. We ordered from the a la carte and were amazed when the food arrived, this was high quality dining and we smashed through 3 courses with ease. What an experience, thank you Hive...we will be back soon
