The breakfast was a little slow coming from the kitchen but was very good when it arrived. Good quality breakfast food, nicely presented. The waiters were friendly and welcoming. A reasonable price too. Parts of the building are under renovation so entrance is from the back and there is limited parking on site at present.

This restaurant doesn’t look all that interesting from the outside but this is more than made up for in the food and service inside. We had made a reservation and were welcomed and seated quickly. Both of us chose the ‘brick chicken’, one with the Korean sauce and the other with gravy. The chicken was succulent and very tasty and the sauces excellent. Served with two sides of our choice and a mini pot of coleslaw. All excellent. Attentive service by friendly and knowledgeable young man (didn’t get his name but he was excellent and able to answer all our questions about the menu). Desserts very good too. The decor is rustic with wooden tables which gave a casual feel. Variety of diners, including families with children and couples. My only negative observation is that some of the upholstered chairs need a thoroughly good clean as there were obvious grubby marks from previous spillages. It didn’t put me off eating there but perhaps it might bother some diners. We will definitely be back one day.

Used to be Phoenix Chinese which was good and very posh , the make over is very rustic and have external area now out back . Went on sat 2.00 as a mothers day treat Staff were very friendly sevice was promp the we had burgers 1 chicken 2 signature burgers . The chicken was very hot , bit too much for mother , did not give cooking option on burger and what came was not juicy in my opinion way over cooked but I find most burger places over cook these days h&s I’m told . But eating leather is not good if we go again will try steaks and give burgers a huge wide berth . Sad that you have to cook your own to get a decent burger these days .

OMG. Fantastic food, brilliant staff {Rebecca). Everything just perfect. Prices were okay, portions great. Haven’t enjoyed a place that much for years! Can’t wait to go back.

The food was great. We attended the first carcass club there. And despite the service issues we would go again for the food. That said its important to highlight the areas for improvement. Firstly we were seated and then forgotten about. It was only after the table next to us had ordered and recieved their food that we felt to chase if we should be ordered. It was a surprise to the server we hadn't ordered yet. Secondly a member of our party has an egg allergy. We were offered a replacement sauce that did not contain eggs. This was forgotten when the food came out and we had to have it changed. Finally (and most minor) the set menu includes a glass of wine. We were not made aware of this so ordered wine, which was unnecessary as we would have enjoyed the complimentary wine had we known. All in all the food was great. The service was lacking. Probably due to the first time hosting this sort of event. But something I'd watch for (especially the allergy!)

2 Free School LaneVery average. Not sure what the hype is. Ribs were extremely dry. Chips were overdone. Decent wings and sweet potato fries. Music blasting. Don’t come here if you want to chat during your meals

529B Newmarket RoadThis delivery failed, after 30m of phone calls trying to help the delivery girl find me. I even sent her a pin via text, she wasn't available to connect on WhatsApp. She blamed me, of course and marked the delivery as delivered on just eat. I'm waiting to see if I get a refund.

1-3 Station RoadJust been to Slingers on station road. Our table was wobbling so we politely asked if we could move tables. The response from the waitress was incredibly rude. She then threw the chairs back as she tried to fix the table after her sarcastic retort. A supervisor then came down and announced that we had apparently been swearing at their staff and being aggressive, which couldn’t have been further from the truth. It was quite shocking that the accusation was levelled without even asking what had happened. Normally the staff there are incredibly friendly and it was a celebration of our friend’s birthday so this has been such a disappointing experience with this restaurant. We are now going elsewhere!

3 Brookgate CambridgeI don’t usually review - But this place needed a review in order to improve their service. I know my steak very well , and this steak was very poor , the mushroom and pepper sauces are tasteless. You rather not order steak here.
