I had my birthday celebration here and we had so much fun! Staff were so friendly and warm, the vibes were great, really recommend the darts and happy hour drinks.

Went on a Saturday night with a group of 20 of us. Our slot started bang on time, even though super busy. Drinks were really fairly priced, especially for Cambridge. No parking, but 30 second walk from station. Had someone run over how the games work, once we got started was really easy to use and really fun. 1 hour slot definately enough (there were 5 people on our game) so if only a couple of you 1 hour would be plenty.

Think paying £10 for darts with gimmicks is a bit excessive but the food more than made up for it!!

Great place! Food is good, atmosphere is great, nice music, and lovely waiters/waitresses!

Food is tasty but comes with chips OR coleslaw. It would be nice to have some vegetables as contrast to the grease. Staff are friendly.

Cool atmosphere and decor with some great service. Food was brilliant too, quite pricey but probably on par with other good restaurants these days.

Wasn’t sure when I heard the concept, but honestly, it’s so much fun! Well worth it, everything was fantastic, and I highly recommend it to all. Well done!!

The lunch meal for £10 was on the spot: a decent burger with delicious fries. They also had a happy hour offer on drinks during the day. The place has a good atmosphere with friendly staff who take dietary requirements seriously. Particularly innovative is the light switch at the tables to call the waiters.

Great place for drinks. I didn't eat but from what I saw the food looked delicious. The darts was a great laugh too. Will definitely return

Great food and service. They've also made Darts fun for everyone, the short interactive games keep the whole party entertained. If you are in Cambridge this is a must do!

The food was delicious. The waitress was 5* really friendly and great with our kids. But whatever you do don’t press the button in the toilets

Great spot and friendly staff! Me and my team were there for slingers and had an amazing time!! The food was good and some of us had some really nice cocktails.

Darts and beer was good fun, but most of the staff were miserable and didn’t want to be there. Shame really, as we’d tip heavily if they were interested. We wouldn’t recommend it.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a good place to eat in Cambridge. Great food, comfortable atmosphere and very friendly service. Decent prices as well for the quality of food.

Came here today (Monday 19th Feb) with my mate. We were drinking outside (both 18) before entering and I left my beer bottle on the window ledge waiting for my mate to finish his before putting it in a bin. The barman came outside in an unprofessional, clearly angry manner and told me ‘his window ledge is no place to leave my bottle’ where obviously I am going to put it in a bin due to going inside after. When entering, my mate and I walk in and he shouts at us saying that we shouldn’t be drinking outside and claiming that he can call the police on us for not carrying id when purchasing alcohol at the bar was not what we wanted. Darts was good fun but the bartender (long black hair male) very much ruined the experience and I shall not be returning as a result of this. Food was decent but nothing special. Would recommend going to the Slingers Smokehouse but do not if you’re planning on going on a Monday when this rude, ignorant gentleman is working. Really let us down, and will definitely not return.

Honestly this was the most disappointing experience, went for lunch at 13:30 on a Monday, there was no one else in there, it took a good 40 minutes to bring the food which was honestly a small portion and the meat was so dry, we had to ask how long the food would be as i had an appointment afterwards, no apology or anything and they even added a service charge at the end despite us complaining! such a shame as used to be a favourite restaurant, was £65 and complete waste of money.

Summary: Don't bother going to play darts without a booking, staff turn away walk-ins for drinks only - even if there is availability. Appear to be sticking to online booking rules for walk-ins? Totally understand Saturday night can't book darts for groups <6, but we decided it was worth turning up on the night to try our luck if there was a lane free. When we arrived 2 lanes were empty & we were told it was fully booked and we couldn't play. I thought that is fair enough and we just enjoyed drinks in the bar instead...but the lanes remained empty for the rest of the evening until closure! Great atmosphere & drinks selection, would love to come back to play darts... but being turned away from darts when there is obvious availability... I'm left very confused on the business model and\or staff training.

Good beer, good food, good vibe, good company, good staff, friendly atmosphere, fun darts games. But for a dedicated darts place, some of the poorest actual darts I've seen: all broken and loose, flights falling out etc. Just made it all feel a bit cheap.

Fun and games with darts in Cambridge with friends who also like throwing darts. Get some anger out the system and eat meat Jemma was an excellent barmaid and waitress. Very attentive and considerate. Exceptional service and made the night.

Having been let down by the cancelled Christmas lights at the Botanical Gardens and with two young children in tow our fast unravelling evening was saved by great food food and even better staff. They couldn’t have been more friendly or welcoming. Their advice was spot on and the service / atmosphere and food really saved an afternoon. Highly recommended and the meal was excellent value for money.

Ribs were great and they have a good selection of beers on tap.

Great place for a snack/lunch/dinner and darts. Nice setup to enjoy darts with good company, extensive selection of beers and nice food. I would add an extra start if I could to the staff who was extremely helpful when 2 people dropped after the cancellation period.

The staff were so helpful. I am someone with dietary problems and they knew their menu inside and out. The food was just amazing. The real ale I'm told was great but wow the cocktails were lush. Our after dinner darts was so much fun we even had some coaching from one of the staff. An excellent place

Lovely venue. Staff were great and accommodating. Food unfortunately was disappointing. We were a large group and at least 3-4 people couldn’t finish their food because it was over cooked or dry. Smoked wings had no meat and ribs were so tough struggled to separate from the bone. Staff were good but seemed extremely troubled by a large group ordering multiple drinks.

I have come here a couple of times. I've tried the drinks, the food and the darts. This place has a unique industrial aesthetic I love. Including some really cool light pathways that light up when you press a button to call.the waiter. The food was fairly unremarkable for a vegetarian, but serviceable. Probably a better choice for meat-eaters. The drinks were weird to a European like me, for example a coke with vanilla ice cream in it, but surprisingly nice! Finally, me and the group I went with had great fun with the dart games. There were plenty of game modes to play, it detected the score automatically pretty reliably, and it was overall a great time.

Great atmosphere and the dart play set up is great! We had a group of 16 with two bays and a table for food in the centre. Perfect!

The service was amazing, really makes comftorable eating there and wanting to come back again. The food was great as well! Really is the best bbq in cambridge. I can't find ribs like these ones anywhere else! And the atmosphere really fits the food, rock and roll hell yeah!

Everything about this place is excellent apart from the lager! No 'normal' lager available, should be at least one of either Fosters, Carlsberg, Corona, Peroni, Estrella, BIrra Morreti or Budweiser.

Isn't anything like this in my area so it was a treat. Really tasty food, came out quickly, beer was good. Prices were fine I think in respect to the area, wasn't expecting the service charge tacked on the end but I probably missed that off the menu, if not you should fix that. Parking is not their fault but was a pain, I got lucky though.

Amazing! Went there for a quick lunch with my partner and honestly couldn't be more pleased. The milkshakes were so tasty, usually other shops make them super milky and add little to no chocolate flavour, this one however, not only great in size, but very much worth more than you pay! Lovely service and great atmosphere, really enjoyed the light system to get attention of waitress. Looking forward to going again for the darts and other activities they have there when Im next in town :).

The food was good but I wasn't blown away by it and I've had better smoked meat before. Service was good, but the lighting was very bright - I would recommend turning it down slightly for a better atmosphere

Brilliant night celebrating my husbands 40th. Good food, great selection of drinks, very entertaining way to spend an evening. Staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great night- love the ordering system. Only wish we lived closer but we will definitely be back !!

Great burgers and small spaces equals a cramped and noisy atmosphere. It's what it is and just fine. Next to us was a super loud table shouting and people with high pitched voices and that was quite annoying. Table service was great and very good suggestions. Sadly, the menu is quite standard and there's nothing I would die to return for. The other issue is parking....just forget it.

What a great way to spend an evening with friends

First time we have been to Slingers 🎯 , we love going to Smokeworks in the City Centre but decided to try here for a change .. vibrant atmosphere when you enter the bar.. food tables are downstairs, it has a similar menu to their other restaurant but chose the burgers as they aren’t on the smokeworks menu .. we all chose the black and blue burger ( BBQ pulled beef brisket , blue cheese and blue cheese sauce ) IT WAS AMAZING .. so tasty , flavours really complemented each other .. hands down best burger we have had in years .. we were all so impressed .. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The shakes are recommended too .. we ordered the Biscoff shakes & I had a hard shake with Baileys and chocolate liqueur.. only criticism is it didn’t last long enough as couldn’t stop drinking it 🤣 service was great & staff very friendly.. 10/10 thank you 🙏

Lovely lunch here the other day! The staff working were really lovely and friendly and had good recommendations The food was so delicious I had a blue cheese burger and my partner ordered a hot dog both well well prepared and presented and absolutely delicious There is a great range of drinks on offer with reasonable prices, if we come back we'll have to try the darts outt!

I don't know if it's the location or the actual layout of the restaurant, but something still doesn't feel right. Credit to Smokeworks that they have managed to keep going through difficult times. The food is decent. The atmosphere, not so much. Some good tunes were playing. It just seems a bit flat. I appreciated the Mad Dogs.

We came for drinks and darts on Saturday afternoon. Haven’t played darts for years so weren’t really expecting to enjoy this as much as we did. Good range of games with different difficulty levels. You don’t need to be good at darts to enjoy it. I really like the service lights, I’m glad they kept them since it changed from just Smokehouse. Drinks are decent prices too.

Awesome place for texas style low and slow bbq. Good for drinks and snacks as well. Update. Food and beer still great, not s sure about the darts concept!

Such a lovely place!! Staff were so lovely! I dropped my ring down the sink and bless them one of the ladies there fished it out for me!! Such a kind friendly bunch!! Definlty recommend as a place to visit if you come to Cambridge!!

One of the best places I’ve been during a night out. Food was great, beer tower were excellent and the service was really friendly and tolerable considering we were on a stag do!

After previously having been to Smokeworks, it’s safe to say that we enjoyed Slingers even more, with great staff looking after us and showing us how the darts worked, it’s great fun even if you’ve never thrown a dart before! I went for the baby back ribs once we sat down for food, messy but delicious. We will 100% be going again.

Great atmosphere and incredible food! Best wings we have ever had! Got the Korean BBQ and Buffalo n Blue wings done crispy and wow, so good- the flavours were great and crispy wings were perfectly done! We also had a full rack of baby back ribs that were great. The cocktails were fab too!

Great time at slingers. Staff were super friendly and the games were easy to understand even for beginners.

Arrived 10 minutes early and our dartboard and area was waiting for us. We were two family members short so waited at the bar with Lily serving us drinks. Once the full family were together ( family of 8) we played , games were varied , Elliot was helpful and so was Tomas and other members of the team… any problems and they were there… v helpful. From start to end communication was brilliant , as we were a large family I wanted hour and half which was accommodated but be warned you might have to double up on playing so it won’t be you just playing as yourself… ( think over 6peeps). Kitchen closes at 9 so as we finished at 8.30 pm we had already preempted food and just gave the list to one of the waitresses… it came quick and as ordered. No complaints on food front or drinks. We will definitely be back - fun times

This place is great, but Lily made the whole experience 10x better. Darts were fun, food was great and happy hour was taken advantage of! More importantly the service was impeccable, enthusiastic and friendly. Can’t fault it one bit!

Staff- 5stars! Food- no star. I would have argued not to pay for the food but the staff were all super friendly. If you want your kidney to be pickled, this may be the place to put you off salt for life .... if the manager would do the service industry old school glory to get in touch, then yes I wouldn’t mind having some of the money back to be very honest😪🥴 ps beer’s good!

Popped in here for a cheeky cocktail during Happy hour, and it was lovely. My friend and I ordered a smokey something (can't remember the name) Bourbon and Orange? Anyway, served with a big smile and napkin over the glass, which when removed was producing smoke, impressive stuff! Tasted awesome and was £12 for two.

Great visit to Slingers last night. Super friendly and engaged team who went out of their way to give us a great experience. Food and drink and service all five stars. You’ll go for the BBQ and stay for the darts!

The spicy beef burger was _very_ hot, which suited me, but others beware. Beer was good but very expensive for us visiting northerners!

The food isn’t for me as I generally opt for vegetarian and “clean” dishes, how the addition of darts is most welcome. I was a little reluctant to give it a go as I’m wouldn’t class myself as a darts kinda girl generally speaking, but it was really fun. A unique way to spend an hour or two in the evening, and the variety of games makes it easy for the one hour to pass super fast. My only real complaint is that the place tends to attract a lot of smokers - so if you’re placed on the darts board closest to the bar/ side door then you will more than likely have people passing you to go outside and smoke, and the smell is pretty potent from outside.

I cannot fault the warmth and welcoming experience I received. The table, the food and the service was excellent. The beer was a little pricey and the toilets were.... Tiny. But all in all, a great place for a social.

Great music, darts and great drinks. But the best part are the staff, they go out of their way to help you out and are top notch.

Two stars off for serving food in a plastic basket and paper rather than a plate.

No communication of cost prior and trying to charge £80 for a game of darts. Ridiculous charges and extremely poor service. Watch out if you happen to go in here, do not get stung. CROOKS!!!!!!

Best BBQ Ribs that I've ever ate in my life and world, and one of the best restaurants in UK.

What a fantastic restaurant. Atmosphere was excellent the staff were exceptional. I’m a ceoliac and the attention to detail was second to none . Then the food … wow the food was amazing . If your GF this is outstanding . If your not even better. Can’t rate this highly enough 👍

Delicious food, reasonably priced. The cocktails all have a twist that makes them unique in Cambridge's busy scene. The service was friendly and attentive, and I will never tire of the service switch at every table.

Had my own Gluten free menu, food came quickly and freshly prepared. Tasty and reasonably priced. Staff very good. Highly recommended

Smokehouse hosted a large business dinner for me (20 guests). They were quite accommodating with their schedule about 10 days from the desired date. Communication was easy as it was through email. Service throughout the meal was decent, and the food was adequate. However, with the large size of the party, there were issues. Our party was promised four tables, but at the event's start, the host claimed that "someone" from the business (not me as the event planner) phoned the establishment an hour from dinner and canceled two seats. The host canceled an entire 7-person table for two people who allegedly called on the business's behalf. Unfortunately, the host couldn't provide information about who they spoke to and canceled our table. This was entirely inappropriate as all communication was done via email and the host gave many evasive excuses as to why we lost the fourth table. This left our party with three tables of 5, seating 20 people. Simply doing math, we were short five seats. We insisted they provide the fourth table, which was in the business arrangement, and paid for with a deposit. The host reluctantly provided the fourth table by putting together two smaller tables and scattering our entire party across the restaurant. After getting settled and eating our meals, the waitstaff was quite rude and ushered our party out at the two-hour mark despite losing 30-45 minutes settling appropriate seating. While the food and waitstaff during the meal were sufferable, it did not provide an overall hospitable environment. I do not recommend for large parties or business functions.
