I REALLY wanted to love this place. It's my birthday today, so I decided to treat the family. Ive been experimenting with cooking Nigerian dishes recently and wanted to see how my home cooking compares (nigerian beef stew with homemade cassava root fufu was the culinary highlight of my year haha!) We ordered beef Egusi stew with pounded yam. And another stew (not Okro because I knew I wouldn't like the slimy texture). There was one small cube of edible beef in each of the two portions of Egusi, and the rest was tongue, gristle, and tripe. I guess it is likely quite authentic, but for a UK palate, we all found it completely inedible. The other stew had the exact same bits of "meat". We don't call offal "beef" in the UK so this came as a really unpleasant surprise. The chicken suya portion was tiny. It's described as "chicken skewers" - there's absolutely no way you'd have gotten a skewer through the pieces we were given as they were at least 70% bone. There is literally more bone than chicken. Way too much chili (and I like my food fiery), and not a hint of peanut, unfortunately. Like I said, I really wanted to love this place but I've just spent £62 on three meals, three sides, and a can of coke. The can of coke was the only thing out of the whole order that we've been able to use. Expensive experience as I had to buy McDonalds to feed everyone as the meals we had purchased werent edible. I think I'll stick to my home cooking, following online recipes. I did learn today that I'm not a fan of pounded yam. I much prefer cassava root fufu so I guess that's saved me making pounded yam.

This place is out of this world I love my food I have had jerk chicken jolof and all kinds of food and this genuinely is the best jerk chicken and rice I have had. Good portion filled me up great people ill now become a regular. If you are fed up of the normal takeaway this is better than all of them. P.s no I don't work for them lol just a big fan

A bit disappointed in this place. The stewed meal had an off taste. It wasn't fresh. Only 2 pieces of beef that was dry.It seemed like the meal had been re heated from frozen. Suya again did not taste or fresh was quite soggy and was over powered with too much seasoning and salt. Puff puff was ok. There is nothing worse then being hungry and the food is not up to standard.

Amazing food, beautiful and very good portions, perfect amount of heat on the jerk chicken. Staff are so lovely, friendly and attentive. Prices are so so reasonable. I will be going back for sure!

Wow, wow, wow, only found this gold mine today , if you love Carribbean food , I highly recommend this to everyone, the Queen herself was so warm and welcoming , her lovely personality alone was enough for me to wanna review this place, but now I'm eating the food it is first class , Sittingbourne has nothing else like this , please please please try this lovely food in Milton high street , you will be in love ❤️ please try and spread the word

My food was hot sexy and finger licking. I had Ogbono Soup with Egg fish - serviced wit the red stew on top. I preferer Ogbono without red stew however was still tasty.

Food was delicious and portions very generous. Great value for money. We had the £20 jollof, rice and peas and mac and cheese combo box and everything was very tasty. We’ll definitely be going back. The lady working there was lovely too

The restaurant is the Best Sit in/Take Away African restaurant in Sittingbourne. Good Environ and Location too..

Popped in after getting my nails done at Moons. Food was unreal! I got curry goat, rice and pea, egousi and pounded yam and some plantain. Everything was delicious, I can't wait to order again.

Absolutely brilliant, I’ve been dying for a high quality Afro-carribean restaurant in Kent. My prayers have been answered. Incredible atmosphere, lovely owners, this restaurant puts the A in Authentic. If you ever in the area or dying to eat some Afro- carribean food, I would highly recommend.
