Lovely food. Really tasty curries. Friendly staff were helpful and attentive. I will definitely be back for more.

We have been to the Himalayan a few times, the food is amazing. A great selection of traditional Indian dishes and the less traditional. Service is always attentive but not intrusive. Excellent value for money, and very accommodating of special requirements, my husband is very hard of hearing and they will ensure we are sat where he can hear. Take outs are of a similar standard to the restaurant. All in all we can’t fault it.

Starters were not the best as I had ordered crispy salt and pepper prawns with garlic and spring onions instead I got marinated prawns caked in chilli sauce with god know's a bed of chopped onions and peppers, when I mentioned it to yhe staff she said that is what you ordered I said crispy salt and pepper prawns not marinated but it was pointless arguing, the mains were not brilliant either very spicy even when youbask for mild, staff walk up to you randomly whilst you're eating and ask if the food is OK ? I don't like that, especially when you've got a mouth ful of food. I found it very tight to walk around inside as all tables are very close to each other, the toilets are downstairs in the cellar, which is very awkward, if you're disabled or had a few drinks, I wouldn't recommend it.

The service was excellent and the food delicious. The pricing was very good and reasonable. If I lived here, this would be a "go to" place to eat on a night out.

Absolutely 💯 first time my husband and I have been here this evening, the staff were polite, attentive and the food was lovely and we were pleasantly surprised at the bill , we would recommend this restaurant to anyone who’d want to experience lovely well prepared well presented tasty food . Extremely large portion sizes - great value for money!

Had a lovely, tasty dinner here. We were a party of 4, had a starter, mains and 2 rounds of drinks. Really good value for money. The staff were attentive, served us promptly and were happy. Tried some of the Nepalese dishes including the chicken dumplings which were fabulous. We're definitely coming back. Thank you Himalaya!

Lovely place. The service was good and the food was excellent. They have recently taken over this venue and there are a few areas still needing decorating, such as the ladies toilet. But bear with them because they really do have a high standard of food which is Nepalese and excellent. Quiet, relaxing and genuine. The Gurkha beer is like a Kingfisher beer but with more character. Worth a try and comes in a 660ml bottle. Prices are keen and try the soft roti as an alternative to the naan. I had chicken Gurkhali and could taste the fresh ginger.

Great food. Despite there being a party of 26 in the restaurant, they still provided our food order in a timely fashion. For that I praised our waiter who was very nice.

Great if you can get hold of them. No way to book a table online and they dont answer the phone. Been trying to book for last two days. Seems like they dont want your custom.

Regrettably I’ve no option but to give a bad review of this place. I only went as my friend insisted, otherwise would usually steer clear of any of the restaurants on Bath St., as they’re all below standard in my opinion. Firstly, the service was good and the waiting staff attentive and friendly, that’s one positive. I was asked how the food was and had to be honest: Not good, disappointing and I will not be returning. It’s upsetting as a curry is a once a week treat (if that) and this was not enjoyable at all. The chicken curry, that was recommended by the way (I’d asked for the most popular dish), was watery and the meat rubbery and tasteless. No real flavour to the main - bland is the best description. There were just a few pieces of chicken swimming in a load of sauce, and for the price this seems quite unfair. Lots of rice, which to be fair was not unpleasant, but didn’t seem all that authentic or flavoursome. The side dish potatoes and something (??) was very basic, however just about edible. This restaurant need to up it’s game as there’s so many better places in Leamington.

I have visited the restaurant 3 times in the past 10 weeks. On the first 2 occasions the food was very good. As was the service and of course the price was v reasonable. However the 3rd visit fell significantly short of the other visits. The food was plain, the squid rubbery (fish curry) and the chicken in my partners dish dry and over cooked. The 'gravy' was bland for both dishes, certainly not reflecting the difference in spice and herbs that was expected from the two different dishes ordered. In mitigation the restaurant was busy (less so during the other visits) but this was a disappointing visit. I shall most likely re-visit as i suspect the earlier visits were more representative of the cuisine available. But not for a while

I came here the other week and was served by a wonderful gentleman called Nabin. He was absolutely incredible. He couldn't have given us a better service. It was incredible. He was patient, cleared everything you wanted in a waiter and he was an absolute dream. Please award him correctly and accordingly to this review

My first time visiting, nice and quiet, before it started really getting busier. My main dish was Saag Aloo it lightly spiced which contained Nepelese spices, without chilli which can be too hot and the main dish still warmed my pallet nicely. To accompany my main dish I had a lovely blend of mixed vegetale rice, two delightful blends of dishes I thoroughly enjoyed. 🙏 The flavours left me with a lovely warming glow which faded quickly which was a nice surprised. Some chilli dishes can leave your mouth burning so I was pleasantly delighted with the lovely alternative to chilli. Delicious tasting energy food. I would recommend trying them anytime. And Yes I will return because of the warm friendly atmosphere. And the lovely staff were smiling which is so attractive. You feel relaxed and so welcome. Thank you so much 🙏💙🙏

WE LOVE THIS PLACE. Amazing staff, so friendly and lovely, every time we go there we feel so welcomed! Food is absolutely wonderful, very tasty and generous portions. Our favourite place in town💖

Like other reviews have mentioned, this is certainly not an authentic Himalayan restaurant, it’s more Indian if anything. We came to dine here yesterday and the food was okay, momos are a little overpriced considering you only get 6. But the problem came with the dessert. We ordered a Malteasers cheesecake (mind you there’s nothing mealteaser about it aside from that one malteaser ball placed as decoration on top of it). Firstly it was frozen, which a cheesecake isn’t meant to be but it’s fine, we let that pass since it’s not a big deal. HOWEVER, as we were eating it we felt small hard pieces of something, and decided to take these pieces out of our mouths to see what it is. After investigating them, it looked like tiny pieces of plastic. We decided not to make a scene of course, but wanted to let the waiter and the manager know that there’s plastic inside of their cheesecakes. The waitress apologised, went to speak to the manager and came back to tell us that the cheesecakes are not prepared here and that they have a supplier for it. We already knew this because the cheesecake was clearly served from frozen. But that’s not the point anyway - the point is you should check your stock because God forbid someone ingests it - a child, for example - and chokes or something serious happens. She offered us some kulfi but after experiencing that, we didn’t want to eat anything else here in case the other items have plastic in them too, so we declined the offer. Instead of taking this item of the bill as a token of their apology, they made us PAY FOR IT! Again, we didn’t want to be difficult customers so we just left it but it would’ve been an incredibly professional gesture to have taken this item off the bill, so maybe this is something for the restaurant to take away and think about for next time. Upon payment, our bill came to around £37, and we left £40 cash on the table. The waitress came to collect it after a while, and we sat for roughly 5 minutes waiting for our change. We saw that the waitress went into the kitchen, started serving food to tables, taking orders etc. We were shocked because how can you just ASSUME that the leftover cash is tip? We usually do tip at restaurants but the fact they didn’t care to take the cheesecake off the bill meant we didn’t want to leave any tip for that reason. But the cheek of the waitress to not even ask if we’d like our change just shocked us completely. So after a while my boyfriend went to ask her for the change because we had a bus to catch. The waitress made it out to seem like she was just about to do it “in a minute”, as she clearly had other tables to serve. I think if you’re sorting the payment at the till, your first course of action should be to bring the change to the table to finish off the service rather than jump around several tables and then make it seem like we’re being a nuisance for asking for something which she clearly wasn’t going to do. And on top of that, for these sort of issues the manager should come and speak to the customer to apologise, which he/she didn’t. Overall not a great experience and won’t be back here again as there’s certainly better restaurants in the area.

This is more like a mix of Indo Nepalese cuisine. The restaurant is very congested with hardly any space to walk around. The starters were good but the main course selection even after going after their recommendation were not up to mark. The place is pocket friendly and loud. The service is slow but the staff are cool. Toilets are in the basement, so if anyone with accessibility issues will find it very difficult. Visited Oct 23

The food here is simply phenomenal. Service by Rajini was superlative and always with a smile. Always eager to help. The food was exquisite. Very very tasty. Extremely flavourful. Great spread of vegetarian options. The cauli manchurian was excellent. We had Saag Panneer, Bhindi and Punjabi Vegetable. All absolutely brilliant ! A must try restaurant. I know that it will be a regular for us.

After months of contemplating to visit this restaurant finally we made, it was worth every penny, food and service was excellent, both Rajni & Dixita were very professional, polite and efficient couldn’t fault it, even the owner came to check if everything was ok, price are very responsible and portions size are big. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back.

What a gem of a restaurant. Staying for the weekend in Leamington and found this restaurant by chance. Staff extremely helpful and polite. Food excellent. Atmosphere spot on. Nothing was too much trouble and ALL the staff were smiley, friendly, polite, caring and helpful, which sadly is a rarety these days.

Recently dined at this place and was thoroughly impressed by the outstanding quality of every aspect. The delicious cuisine, attentive service, inviting ambiance, and perfectly paired drinks came together seamlessly for a truly remarkable experience. A definite must-visit for those in search of an unforgettable dining journey. Highly recommend!

when I visit uk in first time, I felt like. I thought of missing India food. But luckly my friend suggested this hotel. Staff was very good and very support. Food was beyond expectations. I am really happy with their survies. staffs are patiently taking orders, I really appreciate patience level and surving food very fast. All the best team....🥰

Food was exquisite. i had lamb Gurkhali, it was absolutely delicious and not oil on food at all. It was the best Nepalese curry I have ever had. The restaurant is beautiful. It was busy but good service. It beautiful atmosphere. Definitely i will visit again and again.. love it ..

Staff were friendly and pretty attentive, and the food was delicious and plentiful - it's great to see a good range of different dishes on offer, as well as the usuals. The one odd thing was the orders were taken a course at a time, which was good in that you can judge how hot you wanted your main after eating your starter (we were asked how hot we wanted everything), but meant I had my menu on my lap for quite a while!

This is a go to restaurant and me and my family all love it! The food is very appetising and mouth watering. Everything is made flawlessly. Everything is scrumptious 😋😋if you don’t try it then you are definitely missing out and I would 100% recommend it. Lovely representation of Nepali food. The atmosphere in the restaurant is amusing and the staff are very welcoming and meet your needs.

This is one of those places where the food supersedes everything. The decor is questionable, the service can be patchy but the food is arguably the best Indian food in South Warwickshire. Highly recommended for any Indian food lovers.

Went shortly after opening with a large group, food was excellent but service was a little slow. Still would recommend especially with a smaller group as expect it would have been quicker.

Wow, what a great find. Excellent meal, had Chicken Momo to start followed by a Lamb Gurkhali (hot) which had plenty of good chunks of lamb in it.

I have been to Himalayan restaurant at Leamington spa twice. First time I had a good experience and hence took my family along. But it was quite a disappointing experience this time around. Firstly, the staff was not friendly and our order was delayed. Secondly, food quality was not up to the mark. The starter was good but the main course quality was poor. The butter naan was not cook properly and ‘Himalayan chicken’ was very tangy. Dwarakamai seems to be a better option for Indian food.

Excellent food and excellent service. The staff is so warm and cordial full of life. The food reminds me of the homeland of India One of the waitresses, Arshdeep, was extremely exuberant and it was delightful experience to be served by her.

Very nice dishes if you like spicy food

This place on the main road located beside Iceland. You will have to find a parking place around as there is no dedicated parking. The place is not very big but the ambience is lovely. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We tried the veg momos, Fish finger, Himalayan special noodles and Veg hakka noodles. I must say it is one of the best food I have had in long time in Leamington. Will definitely come again ✌

Food was absolutely delicious and so fresh. We haven't had such a lovely curry in so long, especially not in Leamington. Great menu choices too. Can't wait to go back.

Enjoyed a fantastic meal last night, 3 of us all ordering something completely different and because we are all seasoned curry buffs we tried each others and they were all delicious and different...too often all curries taste the same but not here.. I recommend the Shangai!!!! We don't live that near but will be going back very soon.

My family and I visited Himalayan on Boxing Day evening, the whole experience was fantastic. We had a mix of traditional Indian and Nepalese dishes, and every dish was cooked to perfection. Incredible customer service from a young waitress and good communication with the head chef, who even allowed us to sample a curried cauliflower dish. This will definitely be our regular for Indian style cuisine.

Two of us went yesterday. Padam greeted us warmly - they have only been open for three weeks. He explained some of the dishes and bought us a substantial sample of the deep fried cauliflower & chile starter - Amazing! My husband opted for a Prawn dish with a garlic naan. I had Lamb Gurkali with Pilau rice. Both were lovely. Had Nepalese beer & wine. Anita put remainder of my meal in take-away boxes. Lovely presentation of food, staff very friendly. We will be back soon.

Went out for a meal with friends and I must say the food here is exceptional. Starters were delicious and marinated well. And mains were even better. Different taste but rather delicious than you typical Indian curry house. Best food I have ever had. Highly recommend you to try this place out. I’ll be coming back again to explore the rest of the menus.

The Indian cuisine on offer here is second to none in Leamington Spa, so fresh and tasty and served to your liking.

Great tasting food but waiter let us order and then told us they were closing and hovered over us eating quite a lot like a scorned lizard and we felt pressured to eat as fast as prisoners ready to die for their naans. Will definitely be returning though!

Awful staff. Ordered food and waited a full 20 minutes past estimated time to even get a call about it. Driver said they arrived but weren’t there. The restaurant would not pick up the phone and the driver didn’t call again. The food never came.

DON'T ORDER DELIVERY I ordered delivery and at the long end of the estimated time for delivery I rang the driver to make sure it was ordered and for progress, he was rude and said that if I was unhappy with the wait to just cancel the order, and blamed the weather (it's just raining) for the delay. I wanted to continue with the order and 45 minutes later, still no food. I had to cancel the order.
