I'm a former Hilton room service manager from Waikiki, Honolulu. Today I had breakfast at the Carriages restaurant in the Hilton Paddington. Since I'm not a guest and ordered a full English a la carte I was seated in the lounge. I found this rather odd treatment. Is the staff incapable of distinguishing a la carte diners from buffet or is this standard policy? I actually preferred the lounge since it was deserted and quiet. That said, my eggs were overdone, the mushroom and tomato tasteless--what's wrong with basting them with butter? The bacon cold. I had to ask for a new order of eggs. No condiments were on the table and none offered. No jam for the toast. But the coffee was drip and delicious. While the Hilton is not the Ritz, quality service is a frame of mind--anticipation of guest needs and comfort. It costs nothing more other than training and communication.

The Hilton Paddington is a fantastic choice for travelers looking for convenience and comfort in central London. Its prime location, connected directly to Paddington Station, makes it incredibly easy to navigate the city or catch a train to Heathrow. The hotel has a sense of grandeur, with a charmingly old-world feel in its architecture and décor. While the rooms show their age, they remain classy and well-maintained, offering a blend of traditional luxury with modern amenities. One of the highlights of the stay was the breakfast. The selection was vast, fresh, and catered to a variety of dietary preferences, providing the perfect start to a busy day. Additionally, the executive lounge is a wonderful perk if you have access—offering not only a quiet space to unwind but also an impressive spread of food and drinks throughout the day. Overall, the Hilton Paddington offers a luxurious and convenient stay, particularly for those who value location and quality service. The hotel retains a sense of timeless elegance, even if the rooms could benefit from minor modern upgrades. Highly recommended for both leisure and business travelers. Mahmoud at the front desk was excellent in helping me find all the necessary places I was looking to travel to. His knowledge has helped in my review as being a positive impact on my travels.

The hotel was so outdated, every furniture looked the sense of time. The bathroom door could not close, and the breakfast we bought 50£, got the meals like microwave food. Second, if you have a lot of luggage you have to drag it across multiple floors and the carpets are very unfriendly. I don't think this room was worth £250 a night, I've stayed in cheaper hotels with better service and comfort. As well as being in a good location, you'll have better options away from London Paddington. This is the worst Hilton hotel I have ever stayed.

Good hotel in a great location. Slightly dated rooms but in really good condition. The bar was extortionately expensive but everything else good.

The Hilton London Paddington, our preferred hotel whilst on holiday in London, was as outstanding, if not more so, as it always has been. Conveniently adjacent to Paddington Station, it provides excellent access from/to Heathrow Airport via the Heathrow Express or the new Elizabeth Line, as well as westbound National Rail trains, e.g., trains to Oxford and Cardiff. We spent our first night there, before heading to Scotland for a few days, and then returned for eight nights. The entire staff (from the front desk to the Executive Lounge to housekeeping, and all points in between) were all very personable, helpful, and friendly. A special shout out to Greeshma, who checked us in both days, and was kind enough to expedite checking-in to our rooms, particularly after the overnight flight from the States. We have stayed at Hiltons all over the world and Paddington remains our favorite.

I stayed at the hotel for awhile, sometime ago, whenever I pop back am always warmly greeted by all the staff and particularly the reception and restaurant teams. I always feel appreciated, and feels that my time staying their wasn't waisted!! Special shout out though must go to Danielle on Reception. Highly recommend. Ofcourse, for train needs out there it was also the official hotel for the original GWR and u can still see elements of that even today around the hotel!

Very art Deco. Clean and quiet. No refrigerator in the room. Everything seemed a little dated. I will try a balcony room next time. Good location.

Very old hotel and our room was very small. The room had fried eggs odor and the air conditioner was not functioning properly. The only plus for this hotel is the location where it's next to the train station.

Do not stay here. Rooms are way overdue for an update, need amenity like minifridge back (clearly space where it was is missing), mold in bathroom, and dusty AC. Only saving graces are superb staff, proximity to Paddington Station, and rooms are large due to how old the Hotel is.

The reservation team are fraudulent. James McMillian the Cluster & Reservation Executive is super confused and very unprofessional. He lacks the capacity and customer service. It is fraudulent to mastermind a debit on a customer's card without proper explanation.

The location was great. It takes 20 minutes by train from Heathrow Airport. The hotel is directly connected to the station, and there is also a supermarket at the station, making it easy to buy souvenirs.

The dirtiest hotel in the Hilton is literally the dirtiest hotel I have ever lived in. The bathroom is clean. If I lived in an apartment, it would be cleaner. Even the cups and spoons have food residue. The towels have an odor. We asked them to clean the rooms twice, and no one came to clean them. A lot of stars for them.

We stayed in this hotel several times before. After covid, this is the first time we visit London again. We are staying from 8 to 18 July. The double room is on the 5th floor, which is comfortable. The a/c is good. The breakfast quality has been improved a lot. However, there is no refrigerator in the room. When making enquiry to the front desk, I am told that it is given upon request. Then I made a request, but I did not see it coming until the evening. I made enquiry again and was informed that the fridge was not available. I have to ask every morning. I look at the chocolates I bought for friends as gifts, I feel hopeless. This is the weirdest experience I have ever had with a 4-star hotel.

The Hilton Hotel is distinguished by an excellent strategic location in the same train station and near Egor Road Street. The level of cleanliness is high, the breakfast is delicious and varied, the bathroom is spacious, elegant and clean, the lobby and rooms are large, clear and spacious, the service is fast and the staff are excellent, and the majority of those who go to the hotel are quiet people, and it is almost The largest and cleanest rooms in London hotels than I have ever seen before. Its only drawback is that it is very expensive and exaggerated

Fantastic location with direct access to both Paddington Stations. Staff friendly howecer rooms a terribly run down and in sever need of refurbishment. My room was very small. Nowhere to open suitcase without needing to jump it to get to bathroom. Not a big deal but for the price i expected a bit better. Marks and holes on walls. No USB ports so remember to our own plugs. Basic ammenities in bathroom - handwash. Showergel, shampoo, condtioner only. Premier In probably just as comfortable and cheaper. No official concierge so poor baggage porter was run ragged and took a while to get bags after storage.

Very nice and historical Hotel in Paddington. I would highlight the excellent service in the Bar from Vinay, who is always smiling and remembers me every time I come back. He prepares amazing cocktails too! New menu in the restaurant is nice with more heathy options. Gym could improve but overall good experience. Excellent breakfast, one of the best I tried in many Hiltons in London.

Serene Lobby bar, a haven from the madness of a busy Paddington Train Station, yet can walk into & out of the hotel from inside the station concourse. Service a bit haphazard. Furnishings a bit fated, but still has a "Grand" feel.

The hotel is indeed old, and while the facilities show their age, they are still usable, which I was aware of before booking. However, the water pressure in the bathroom is disappointing, and the design could be improved. Additionally, the AC in the room blows directly onto the bed, which is quite uncomfortable. On the positive side, the location is fantastic with several train and subway lines right underneath, making it very convenient for travel. The staff were also very nice and accommodating.

For a Hilton, I would have expected better to be honest. Tired looking rooms and an impersonable atmosphere. The only good point, of course, is the access to Paddington railway station...

Despite phoning in advance and asking for an early check in which they said should be okay, it was not ready. I had to either wait 2 to 3 hours or pay £70 for another room so I can check in early. Secondly I had something delivered to the hotel, at first when asking if they could bring to room they said it was illegal! It is not illegal to bring an item from reception to the room. Thirdly, there was some kind of construction to get through to the room, it looked like carpets being replaced, which no warning off. Lastly when asking if I could store my luggage for a day, they first asked big or small case; once I informed it’s a big case, they told me I can’t because of security, despite in the past doing so. 90% of the staff have a terrible attitude problem. 10% of staff (all with English accents) were extremely nice.

Since it is possible that they do not have bathrooms for customers, it seems to me to be a bad policy for this particular business, and I have been to many and they all have bathrooms for customers. The worst thing is the way the employee spoke to me, who told me that in In this country it seems that there are no rules that protect the public.
